Will never use this company again expensive sofa stated to sag 3 months after purchase I am now nearly a year in and still not been repaired. Worst sofa I ever bought absolute joke

I have finally cancelled the order for a bed I was buying for my son's 40th birthday as I fear he will be 50 before it arrives. Three weeks turned into three months and still no sign of the bed. I've been given a myriad of excuses by a team of customer service staff who want me, the customer, to listen them and they not take note of my concerns. I have bought from this company before but will never do so again. If you don't want to go through the same experience I suggest you take your custom elsewhere.

Don't trust or buy from AHF. They will say and anything for a sale. Our table and chairs came the wrong colour... eventually swapped. The table top cracked - we didn't worry because Grant at the Stoke branch had sold us extra warranty just for this exact concern of ours... that the porcelain table top may get damaged. It turns out Grant either lied or misunderstood the policy coverage. We've now got a dangerous crack in a brand new table and now way of getting recompense. Steer well clear of this company. AHF a showroom to avoid STOP !!!! STOP !!!! STOP !!!! If you’re even Thinking of going to shop at AHF We have ordered 4 beds which was scheduled to be delivered last month. I got a call from them saying they’re expecting the shipment in 21st Sept and they’ll call to confirm the delivery times slot. But, instead of getting a call I got an email saying springs for the bed aren’t available and delivery would be delayed by 4 weeks!!!!! How is that logical that the day they’re supposed to get delivery they send an email that the beds are still in production ??? And strangely enough the email then stated they don’t have the material to wrap the springs ???? So it makes me think are they short of springs.... short of materials to wrap the springs .... or is this just their regular excuses where they’ve done some copy & paste of previous email and haven’t proof read..... The inconsistency of the “reason” within the same email is laughable. I sent an email immediately stating I’m not expecting that reason and I want a call/email to let me know of the delivery dates. As I write this review I have not received any call nor any correspondence acknowledging my email. I was initially reluctant to buy from AHF in the first place after having read the bad reviews about the aftercare, however after being reassured by their sales rep in the showroom we decided to go ahead, a decision which I’m starting to regret.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY Ordered and dining table and sofa chair after 7 months of use we have found it was defective Emailed proof and they agreed it was defective Said they would send a replacement now I find out that their shipping company had stopped shipping to uk for foreseeable future and we are not allowed a refund or new table We have been told to wait No contact with managers I was told head office have only one and that one was in training. So now I’m left with a defective table and a huge bill

I wish I had found this site before I purchased, I loved the quality of the leather in the shop but was informed they were made in the Uk not true the box clear marked on the delivery box made in China. The leather is not 100% which I was informed in the shop. Also I was informed the base of the chair and footstool would be have to put together not the back, seat and arms. The holes in the arm and arm rest did not match up. Again I was on the phone and spoke to a lady but dismissed it. When she phoned me up today was surprised with what I told her. I will never purchase anything again from this store. Their furniture should have a big label on it if its made in China. Terrible that is is covered up. The delivery time was slightly delayed due to corona virus this could not be helped and would not complain about that. But a big complaint that I was not Informed the 2 Chairs and Footstools are made in China. I am awaiting a nest of tables and a chest of drawer set. but I feel I do not want them due to the problems with chairs. I have the photos but keeping them for now looking at getting legal advice.

17 weeks now waiting for my sofas i am constantly having to contact them for updates very poor customer service. Do not believe a word the sales staff tell you in store they promised me 10 weeks? I am now going to cancel my order and order from a real company with excellent customer care and excellent quality this company is a complete shambles.

After dealing with darren for our dining table and more recently with ken for sofas both amazing at what they do with ken even fetching one of the dining chairs to colour match the sofa. Today we had the dining table delivered and the delivery drivers were absolutely brilliant if i could give 10 stars overall i would.

I was falsely sold a real leather sofa. It turned out to be a fake "bonded-leather", which started peeling with time. They charged an additional £50 delivery fee which wasn't disclosed on purchase. I also fell for their "platinum insurance" scam, which was a third of the cost of the sofa itself. The worst part, when I needed to make a claim for pet damage (fully covered in the policy documents by the way), they refused my claim and it is impossible to contact them to dispute. Do yourself a favour and avoid this company.

It's a shame you hAve to give them 1 star as this company doesn't even deserve that.We spent £1200 on a super King divan with headboard at the Gloucester store 11 months ago,after 4 months the mattress was dipping,due to covid we were unable to get anyone out to look at it until a few weeks ago.The X manager of Gloucester store plus an Independent guy inspected the mattress,and concluded there was no defect it was within manufacturers guidelines.There is clearly an issue with the mattress but the reason for my review is that the aftercare service from this company is appalling ,the sales staff in store are pleasant enough but there is no after care what so ever.Any guarantee they give isn't worth the paper it is written on before you purchase anything from this company please be aware if anything goes wrong they don't give a damn and they will fob you of by directing you to the furniture ombudsman!!! Absolutly disgusting .....

Ordered furniture before christmas 19. We had old suite removed(same size) they couldn't get the new one in??? So had a replacement sofa that split, no one told me of this option at point of purchase, or wouldve had it, incase of problems. Had to pay another £500 on top . Should've arrived a week after lockdown. Now we have to wait until at least end of July. Been delivery already. We must be back of queue and delivering all the new buyer stuff first. Most expensive suite, disgusted with customer care. Money is more important to them. It seems.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY if you want your furniture, in my case a bed and 2 mattresses, delivered within a reasonable timescale. The front of my invoice said delivery within 6 weeks. However, had I read the reverse of the invoice, as a very insolent assistant pointed out, it states that a further 4 weeks is not considered unreasonable. Well, when you are sleeping on a sofa it is bloody well unreasonable. When I was eventually told my order was ready for delivery the earliest date was another 8 days away and when I asked for a Friday delivery slot I was told oh, we only deliver every third Friday. The mattresses were for my grandchildren's bunk beds and I got so desperate I ordered some from Amazon which were delivered next day but now I will be lumbered with 2 single mattresses I no longer need or want and which I have had to pay for because AHF do not accept cancellation for any reason whatsoever outside the cooling off period. Having read other reviews about shoddy and faulty merchandise I'm dreading what is going to come through the door next week. I bitterly regret using this company.

If I could give a 0 star rating for the after sales customer care I would. This company have been appalling. Sent out 2 lots of VERY faulty furniture, had a battle since october last year to get money back...finally got it yesterday. They never call when say they will. Get passed from person to person all the time and nobody,even the customer care team leader wouldn't accept that the furniture was faulty and sort it out.... and I'm talking ripped material, pulls, cushions not even fitting the sofa.. and only 1 person ever apologised for the hassle that we have had, and that was a lady instore. We rang customer services as soon as it had been delivered on both occasions. They REALLY need to learn about customer rights and the law and def need better customer service training.

Wardrobe supplied was substandard, ikea is a better quality, shelf chipped, emailed AHF some 6 weeks ago still await a reply Ordered carpets, when supplied they were to short and didn’t fit the bedroom Have emailed their Boongate office 3 times this week and they don’t reply Walk away before it’s too late, you’ve been warned Will take my complaints with the head office

Still waiting for furniture to be delivered having ordered 3 months ago - managers never available to speak with or call back and complaint email sent not even acknowledged. I will never use or recommend this company again their after service and customer advisors are awful

Bought 2 "Superb quality marble tables". Spent a small fortune. They turned out not to be Superb quality marble, but poor quality marble effect... Complaint raised and quickly dismissed after a independant specialist, (supplied by AHF), deemed there to be no issues, and that the clearly printed effect, and the way the pattern peels off was completely normal for marble. Trading standards now involved. Say no more. Avoid.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. Ordered my sofa 3/2/19 expected delivery date mid May. After several phone calls (mostly by me) it was delivered 16/8. It was damaged and noticed by the fitter. By this point I’d had enough and asked for my money back. It took 3 letters, the last one threatening court action before it was finally resolved on 2/11. Disgusting customer service, no communication by management. I’m now waiting for my order from dfs. Will never use again and strongly recommend no one else does
