Don’t bother, I brought a new bed had to wait a month for delivery the bed had been in situ for just 2 weeks, when the sides of the mattress collapsed on both sides after waiting a couple of weeks I had to phone the store for a second time as the after sales team haven’t been in touch I was given head office phone number which I rang I was asked to send photos which I did after waiting again for about a week I rang again and was told I had to wait for the repairs dept to get in touch a few days later an appointment was arranged When the rep turned up late (no apology) as soon as he walked into the bedroom and said oh. Yeah it’s totally collapsed then sat on the edge of the bed to write his report and take photos of the bed but got distracted halfway through and slouched back on the bed and started taking pictures of my pictures on the wall saying he liked them as he left he said I should have no problem getting the mattress replaced I rang head office a week later and was told his report said it wasn’t a manufacturing problem and it’s my fault for no rotating the mattress (only been slept on for a week) then was told that’s the end of the matter so do your self a favour stay away

After viewing sofas in-store, we decided to place our order online. I contacted customer services twice, once to order swatches and then to discuss delivery, both times the staff were really helpful. Our sofas were ready for delivery after the stated 7 weeks promised and the delivery staff were again really helpful. Based on my experience, I would definitely recommend.

Absolutely appalled by the low standard of customer service at AHF Hayes. I was reluctant to buy from there in the first place having read bad reviews about the aftercare, however after being reassured by the sales advisor, we decided to go ahead. We ordered several pieces of furniture at the end of June 2019, having been told it would take 3 weeks to be delivered. Having looked at the paper work, it said 4 weeks for delivery instead. As the 3 weeks approached, we had to call AHF to ask what was happening with our delivery, as we had heard nothing, only to be told they were experiencing problems and that they would call back. They never did. Once again we called back, to be told this time that the warehouse was closed over the summer and that we'd have to wait for another 3 weeks! No one told us the warehouse closed to start with. If we had known, we would have gone elsewhere? We awaited an update - and again received no communication so had to call AHF ourselves for the third time – the response was: ‘oh, we’re sorry, we don’t have an answer yet…’ and then offered to call us back again, which they did this time, to organise a delivery time… before the 4 weeks delay buffer they have in their agreement. Anyone who buys from AHF, please make sure you read the small print at the back of the agreement. If AHF overgo the delivery date in your agreement papers by more than 4 weeks, they offer a compensation payment of £50? If your delivery is delayed by less than 4 weeks (even to the day)… or shall I say, it appears if they contact you before the 4 weeks, to make a delivery they are protected... however it almost comes across as if they use this 4 week buffer as an excuse for not sticking to promised delivery dates, leading to shoddy customer service. Please note, the delay is a pain, but it was more the laxidaisical and nonchalant behaviour of customer services and the apparent lack of communication between the customer services team and the sales team in the store that led to this disappointing customer experience. The onus seems to and with the customer to get to the bottom of these issues. They have said we can’t get a refund now – let’s see if our delivery actually arrives on Monday, after 8 weeks of waiting. Despite having lovely furniture, I will never buy from AHF again and will also recommend others not to either. If you are going to spend that amount of money, then decent customer service is non-negotiable.

Appalling service, do not use. ordered 3 bedrooms carpets, after 3 months still not fitted. finally after phoning their call centre 3 times I get a fitting date, by, I must say a very rude customer service agent. on day of fitting, I phone up the call centre to find out where the fitter is, to be told it had been cancelled!! house upside down, and we'd cancelled a weekend away to be at home. was told they had tried to contact me, but no message left at all to tell me it was being cancelled. I am not a mind reader. as you can expect following 3 months of chasing them, p*@s poor service, no communication, catalogue of just utter incompetence, I will never buy from AHF Peterborough again.

We purchased a sofa waited 8 weeks fair enough but then it came the wrong coulor we asked for the money back but got told no, so waited 7 weeks for the new 1 and still the wrong coulor never use them avoid you will be disappointed a disaster of a company shocking after care sales the lot

Atrocious Service Atrocious service. Ordered settee in April 2019. Informed it was being quality checked on 15 July 2019. No contact whatsoever from AHF after that and still waiting for delivery. I emailed via the website for an update and did not receive a response. I have made daily phone calls since 9 August 2019 but still do not have a delivery date. The responses to the phone calls have been very uninterested and unhelpful, particularly Phoebe. Each time I have been told someone will call back, including Craig, Customer Services Manager but I have not once received a call back. I would not recommend at all.

Had problems with wrong wardrobe doors took month to rectify, then when they did come they was damaged!! Fitters was very good and helpful. Also purchased the extra insurance and tried to claim s the leather has scuffed and spreading on the sofa only for our claim to be refused even though we was told no matter what happens they replace if they can’t fix. Would advise everyone to steer clear!!!

Very happy with the furniture, large sofa and armchair delivered within 7 weeks of purchase. Good communication on delivery times and the furniture is very comfortable, especially the sofa. I don't normally post reviews but thought I would do so as I'm more than satisfied with the products and service and wanted to balance out all the negative reviews on here.

Never ever will buy or recommend.absolutely disaster Bought table and chairs for 650 down from 1300 rubbish. Not going to be surprised if this shop will close down.0 out of 5. Quality and service everything 0. Have issues with the table and the chair slow response over a month and never resolved the issue rubbish products very expensive as well not worth a penny. Disgusted. Farcical service. Waited 6 months, then they messed up the credit contract creating another 8-day delay. They are now delivering at 7am. After receiving a text message informing me they may deliver up to an hour and a half before this I called. Ridiculous admin staff who kept repeating, 'Nothing I can do other than change the delivery day which will incur another charge.' Probably have to wait another 6 months for delivery. I'm furious! I hate this company, never again!

We purchased a corner sofa suite on January 8th this year. When we went into the showroom we immediately knew which sofa, sat down with a lovely sales person and bought it. We also took the insurance and were assured on more than one occasion that dog damage is all included, I even asked bluntly if my dog ate the sofa would it be covered, the salesperson told me yes! Absolutely! We were delighted. We put down the deposit and that's where the trouble started... The printer wasn't working... No problem, we will come aback in and sign in a few days and sign it, these things happen. Oh and it will be 14 weeks... Not great but OK, would have been nice to be told before. So my husband went back in, signed on the computer. The printer didn't work again and we received no paperwork, no key facts etc for the insurance. We were assured that the sofa would be delivered at the start of April. April came and went and no sofa. We called, we got fobbed off with the sofa being ready or missing deliveries and anyway it's not late yet! They have 14 weeks plus 4 extra to deliver in. We should have cancelled at that point but I liked the sofa and I'm not easily irritated so we waited. We called numerous times and each time my husband and I became more and more frustrated. The customer care team don't care at all! We still have no sofa 6 months later just constantly being sent round the houses. All you get is excuses and hassle with hostile people. I would like to say that the manager of the store is lovely and has tried really hard throughout. I would not recommend to anyone ever. I have never received such disgraceful service. I hope my sofa will be decent quality when they get here! If they ever get here!

My wife and I weren't very impressed by our first experience of AHF in Northampton. We ordered two sofas from AHF in the middle of September and they were finally delivered on the 26th November - over two months later. I was actually called on 16th November to say our sofas were at last ready for delivery but they were unable to deliver them that week despite my wife giving them an ultimatum to deliver or cancel. During those two months we were told on more than one occasion that the sofas had missed their delivery. I was called by the manager a couple of weeks ago who seemed to be completely unaware of the situation. He also told me that the delay was due to the furniture makers being unable to get hold of the material required to make our sofas. Our old sofas were then collected by the British Heart Foundation and we had to move the furniture from our conservatory into the lounge until the new sofas arrived. Our lounge had been completely redecorated for some weeks previous in readiness for the new sofas. There was a distinct lack of communication from AHF about this matter and what felt like a lack of commitment to put the situation right. They promised a £50 refund due to the time it took to deliver the sofas to us but having deferred the payment for twelve months, I'm not sure if and when this will materialise. This is the first time we've used AHF and it will almost certainly be the last. Poor customer service and a series of excuses didn't make it an experience we want to repeat... 26/01/17 I haven't seen our £50 refund materialise in any way. We've contacted them again about the furniture as it seems a small hole is now present in one of the large cushions that we sit on. Customer service again hasn't been great. A replacement is apparently on it's way. 25/06/19 Why my wife decided to go back to AHF is beyond me. They have just delivered our new furniture for our conservatory. We told them about our previous experience and they assured us it wouldn't happen again. That is was safe to assume all would be ok this time. Well it isn't. They've delivered a sofa and a chair to our house. The sofa is a chaise with an extending footstool. They have not delivered the feet for that part of the sofa. The delivery man took pictures and has sent it to the customer service of AHF. I have looked around the chair and found that whoever wrote the date on a label on the chair has been rather careless and marked the chair in blue ink. It's a tiny mark but I noticed it immediately. There is also a dirty stain on the cushion as well. It is a white chair so it's clearly noticeable. I wouldn't be surprised if we find more things wrong with the furniture once we've had a good look over it. Hopefully this will be the last time we use them. More shoddy service from AHF. Not impressed.

Worst quality sofas!! I ordered a sofa and a month after it was delivered i saw little holes on the end corner. i contacted customer service who took months to send a technician out only to be told it was the delivery drivers though there was holes and this was not a manufacturing issue. I've paid a £1000 for a sofa with holes in!!. Customer service over the phone wasn't very helpful and have said the holes in the sofa have been caused by myself and that they will not be replacing any parts free of charge. so it looks like ill have to pay for a company's mistakes as they do not know how to look after there customers. I would NOT recommend this shop to anyone looking for any decent furniture.

In August 2016 I bought 2 wardrobes from AHF at the cost of £2,331.89. It took THIRTEEN WEEKS to be delivered and fitted. I did have a £50 refund for waiting for so long (over 12 weeks, which still sounds a long wait for wardrobes from Germany. Or are them from China?). Three shelves were not fitted as we didn’t need by that time. Now that we were planning to fit them, we have realised that the delivery guys have not left the brackets so we could not fit them. I went back to the shop this week and was told they would post them to me. Yesterday I got a call telling me they would not post because it is a 2016 purchase. SERIOUSLY?!!!!! I have spent nearly TWO AND A HALF THOUSAND POUNDS WITH THEM!!!! Yes, I can buy them online for just over £10. But, come on?! What a greed company?!!!!!!!! If I would have bought wardrobes from ikea, I could just go to the spare parts shelves near customer services and taken as many as I wanted, but unfortunately they are not compatible! PS: my clothes stink in those wardrobes! I have to wash them constantly because of the smell of the wood. They have obviously lost a customer and I hope this review inspire others to avoid shopping from AHF!!!!!!!!!!!!

absolutely rubbish company , never ever buy any thing from this guys , I ordered a dining table from them , was told four week's max , ones all the papers are signed I am been told delays by 2 weeks (6 weeks in total), I already planned to sell my current one , now I will be without dining table for almost two weeks , have family coming from States , house without table ??????????

Worst experience ever dealing with this company. They were dreadful from start to finish ,it took months to resolve our problems, they were so unhelpful, we must have called at least 20 times ,I started calling from work to record the calls. Only when I threatened to stand outside the shop and tell customers did I start to get anywhere. No-one took responsibility, they need training on customer service. Would never buy from there again!!!!!!!!

I wish I'd read these reviews before I purchased my furniture. The store manager was great; the delivery drivers were great but customer services are worse than APPALLING. I had to chase for delivery date after they had exceeded their estimated delivery timescale only to find out that they hadn't got my whole order and it would be another 7 week. I ended up taking shop floor sofa as part of my order and agreed a discount; they have finally refunded my money - oh no, its approximately £140 short and magically I can't now get hold of the 'head' of customer services - the sofas seem nice but please be careful.

Store staff great, delivery men great - customer service - APPALLING! They have a couldn't care less attitude, don't listen and don't care. Tried ignoring my " I don't want a repair on a sofa less than 1 hour in my home" Trading Standards drafted a complaint letter. Homecare came out and knew I wouldn't accept a repair. He documented the fault and found a ball of hard sellotape in the arm stuffing. They still tried to say they had arranged to have the fault repaired and hadn't received the recorded delivery letter I sent to the store and the Head Office. Finally got the suite picked up and a refund. Treat your customers as you would want treating by any other shop.

Front of store in Canterbury shows name of previous Company as does paperwork. Previous Company had an excellent reputation and we believed that we were buying from that Company as shopfront showed their name. Four days after delivery we realised sofas not fit for purpose and awful quality. Complained to store. Telephone cut off as soon as I explained problem. Phoned 4 times that day holding call for 15 minutes. No response. Since then appalling Customer Service and eventually Technician Report that is so false as to the facts of his visit and therefore supports AHF. Even the date of delivery is wrong and there is a claim I refused to sign something. We were not even shown the report at his visit. I wasn’t asked to sign anything. Too much to complain of here in our quest for a refund. Suffice to say we have purchased 2 secondhand sofas. The ones in question so uncomfortable and shoddily made they are stacked. Took delivery 10th March, stopped using them 2nd April. From the 15th. March we had them under cover as we had requested for them to be collected. At that stage we would have accepted exchange but after the further experiences of dealing with this Company, we have requested refund. Had we known who we were buying from we would have looked at reviews and avoided, we believed we were buying from the same Company our previous sofas came from. Only when we received Technicians Report did we know the name of the manufacturer of the sofas. They have poor reviews too. In 73yrs I have never experienced anything like this regarding the sale, quality and Customer Service. Not even worth 1 star
