dear insurance user, if you respect yourself, do not buy any travel or life insurance from AIG. bad customer service, even you provide all details and bills your expenses, they try to keep longer and never cover. really bad service, even the people in customer care does not know how to speak, they request non related details, however accident happened with me during my travel, i have injured my head, leg and hand. i have provided all expenses with bill and emergency doctors summary, which are necessary, but they asked me non related information cc of motorcycle? imagine you are troubled with accident and sent to emergency, could you able to have motorcycle cc? you are in shock.

Customer service is terrible, the online claim form doesn't work, then a customer service representative contacted me asking for additional information that wasn't even requested on the claim form that I submitted. They go out of their way to make the process difficult, probably hoping that people give up so that they dont have to pay out. I would HIGHLY recommend getting insurance directly from the car rental company because AIG is ridiculously difficult and unreliable.

The crookedest place around! Submitting a claim is a complete hassle and the requirements are nearly impossible. They are making so much money off not giving refunds. I cannot even believe these people can be in business. I had purchased airline tickets for my husband, my two children and me but had to cancel the trip to stay back to take my mom to some doctors appointments as she was diagnosed with some pretty major things like 3 days before we were to leave. They will NOT refund our money. They are asking for a doctors statement and medical certificate from the doctor. I explained that it is my mom and she is not allowing it and therefore i would have no access to it because of HIPPA and such. They don't care one bit. HEARTLESS THIEVES!

Unscrupulous Expedia Travel Car Insurance through AIG insurance I am writing to warn people about the unscrupulous Expedia Global Product Travel Insurance offered on its website when making a reservation for a car rental. It is far from hassle free, but appears to be a scam or at best an unprincipled business looking to avoid the coverage it advertises at time of enrolling in a car rental policy. When I tried to use the insurance to reimbursed me for a claim of £750 that I needed to pay myself to the car rental company directly at time of return for my car rental, the insurance provider affiliate with Expedia, AIG travel insurance, refused to cover me, claiming that the policy does not cover domestic trips unless it “is beyond 100 kilometres from your Home.” However, my 9-day trip was well beyond 100 kilometers (London to Dorset), for which I provided evidence of accommodation receipt in my name. They still have not responded but are dragging along and I have had to follow-up several times, which is very frustrating and time consuming, and far from the hassle-free service the insurance claims and is meant to be. What is concerning, unprincipled, and quite frankly pathetic, is that AIG uses deceptive marketing to mislead customers to purchase an insurance product for which a fundamental exclusion is not presented upfront, (even when other eligibility reminders are provided upfront), but buried in policy wording that needs to be separately read. This is fraudulent behavior on the part of any insurance company, and hence why caution consumers to avoid Expedia UK and AIG insurance products (https://www.aig.com/individual).
