A customer of AIG for over 30 years and my insurance policy was cancelled, reason being there were not enough people in the same policy. I asked if there was another policy only to be told there is nothing comparable. Did not make one claim in all that time and now l am retired and might be needing assistance l have been discarded. Nice way to make money, take the money and when people get older cancel. Would never recommend AIG to anyone and happy to spread the reason why.

Our son was denied all life insurance claims. We sent all the documents, faxed them. Nothing. Excuses excuses. Our son got nothing and it was hurtful. He had to keep reliving his dad's death. I went to a lawyer twice. They said if it's AIG forget it

Took 2 full months for them to pay on a claim, constantly said they couldn’t reach me or impound lot even tho niether my call log or the lots phone show any attempt to contact us. While the agent was polite they were also useless at moving the case forward. The title company they used was just as bad and made me get a new blank title to mail them before they’d pick up car and alert aig. If this was my insurance company and not the other drivers I’d leave this company forever.

Formal Complaint Letter Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Mishandling of Claim #000-05-632909 – UPS Capital Insurance Agency, CargoEdge - AIG, and InsureShield To Whom It May Concern, I am submitting this formal complaint against UPS Capital Insurance Agency, and its affiliated partners, CargoEdge - AIG and InsureShield, due to the unacceptable handling of my insurance claim (#000-05-632909) and the conduct of their representative, Paula Lomax. Summary of Events: • On May 13, 2025, Ms. Lomax requested a photo of the package with the tracking label. I submitted the requested images the same day. • On May 19, she responded that the tracking label was unclear. I again complied with a new, clearer image that day. • A full week passed without response. On May 26, I followed up professionally to ask about the status of the claim. • On May 27, Ms. Lomax claimed the photo was taken before shipment, which contradicts the evidence submitted that clearly shows the label on the box as received by the customer. • I raised concerns about her lack of phone communication and requested escalation to a supervisor due to the delay and seemingly circular nature of the correspondence. • I followed up again on June 5, as no action or clarity had been provided. • On June 6, Ms. Lomax reiterated her request for photos I had already submitted multiple times. I asked for clarification, not understanding what additional evidence she expected. Issues and Concerns: 1. Deliberate Delay and Lack of Responsiveness There were repeated week-long delays between responses, and phone calls to the contact number went unanswered. This lack of communication severely impacted the timeliness of the claim process. 2. Redundant Requests and Stonewalling Tactics The same documentation was requested multiple times, even after being submitted, raising concerns about fair treatment and transparency. 3. Refusal to Escalate or Acknowledge Compliance Despite multiple requests, no escalation or meaningful action has been taken to review the claim impartially. 4. Bad Faith Handling These actions raise serious concerns about bad-faith practices in processing claims, which may warrant further legal and regulatory investigation. Requested Actions: I respectfully request: • A formal review of this case by an impartial agency or representative. • Immediate resolution and claim reimbursement, as the required documentation has already been submitted. • Oversight of UPS Capital Insurance Agency and its affiliates for adherence to consumer protection and fair claims processing standards. This has been an unreasonably burdensome process and reflects a troubling pattern of customer mistreatment. I am bringing this complaint to the attention of all appropriate oversight agencies and consumer protection platforms to ensure accountability and avoid similar treatment for future consumers. Sincerely, John Maldonado Claimant – Claim #000-05-632909

Your company has the worst customer service I have seen and that’s pretty bad because today’s world don’t know customer service. Claim paperwork has to be sent numerous times and when u call all you can get is “We only except paperwork faxed or mailed” well that is being done and your still not getting it so what do you do? People are paying for this stuff too be faxed you guys going to reimburse that, the customer service representative was quick to say no to that. Your company sucks!

I wouldn't even give them 1/2 star. Met all the criteria with a death of a travel budy/Co-worker. Provided the documentation and obituary to only be denied...Total rip off and wouldn't advise anyone to purchase trip protection with them!

What began as a promising financial opportunity ended in heartbreak when I lost $145,000 to a fraudulent scheme. The realization that I had been scammed was crushing—filled with disbelief, guilt, and fear about what to do next. During my search for recovery options, I discovered Mrs. Olivia and her team. At first, I was wary, expecting more empty promises. But their honesty and transparency quickly set them apart. They laid out the process clearly, didn’t sugarcoat the challenges, and never guaranteed unrealistic results. Mrs. Olivia stayed in touch consistently, offering updates and support that made me feel genuinely cared for. Against all odds, they recovered a large portion of my lost funds—something I never imagined possible.

Just don't go there! Cheap for a very good reason. I thought Quantas Insurance, which is actually AIG insurance, would be credible and reliable. NOT. Stay well away.

0 stars. bad customer service. If I knew this is the company who supposed to take care of my phone stolen situation, I would rather pay Full price and not deal with them.

Filed a claim through them for a lost/stolen iPhone through Apple. This was a work phone and I wasn't able to get it for 5-7 days even asking up front if I could pay to have expedited shipping and they said no because that doesn't follow their typical policy. Poor custom service, unaccommodating, rude. 0 out of 5 would not recommend.

If I could give a zero star I would. I had a work trip where the job was canceled and AIG refused to cover the claim after offering to insure the ticket at the time of purchase. They gave two different reasons for not covering these tickets. This is a scam and a way to take money from the little guy. I'm never dealing with this company in any way again and I'd advise anyone reading this to find another insurer.

Bought travel insurance for a flight through American Express Platinum. My wife could not travel because of brain injury. We filled out numerous forms signed by her neurologist and submitted a letter from her doctors stating that she could not travel. AIG keeps asking for the same information we already submitted. We are elderly and think AIG is trying to take advantage and deny claim. We have been working on this for over 6 months. Terrible way to treat people.

This is the company that American Express uses for cell phone coverage. I lost my phone on vacation and they denied my claim. Why would I buy a new phone and im still naking payments on my lost phone just to get a few hundred bucks? My lost phone contained pictures from my vacation that I couldn't retrieve. This company has horrible customer service, the adjuster, Sue Leinweber never returned my calls! I can't gave a police report when I didn't know one was needed? I filed the claim when I returned home from vacation the next day. I will get insurance through Tmobile moving forward, this has been a horrible experience. Again, AIG has not made one phone call to me regarding my claim!!!!!

We have been attempting to cash in a policy for several months and their excuses are going on and on. The latest? My wife put her name as POA in front of her dad’s name instead of the other way around. And she forgot to date the form in ONE place. This after playing games and telling her they needed to talk to her dad when SHE is the one who took out the policy in him. Horrible company, do not recommend. Ready to file a report with the Attorney General.

I have been a customer of AIG for several years, but my recent experience has been beyond disappointing. I currently have claims dating back to August 2024 that have yet to be paid. Despite repeated follow-ups, I have received no updates, no explanations, and no resolution. However, this morning, as expected, AIG had no issue withdrawing my quarterly payment. For months, I have been told that someone would contact me within 7 to 10 business days, yet no one has ever reached out. Each time I call, I am met with the same response—customer service can only view my claims but has no authority over processing payouts. If there is an issue or delay, AIG has not communicated it to me. I have provided all necessary documents, yet I remain unpaid with no indication of when, or if, my claim will be processed. A company of this size should be transparent, efficient, and accountable, yet AIG fails in every one of these areas. Their business practices are unacceptable—taking payments on time while delaying or outright ignoring valid claims. At this point, I simply want AIG to honor their obligations, process my claims, and pay what I am owed. However, based on my experience, I cannot in good faith recommend this company to anyone. If you are considering AIG, I strongly urge you to look elsewhere. Their lack of responsiveness, accountability, and basic customer service makes them one of the most frustrating companies I have ever dealt with.

Beware the "insurance ". We had to cancel a hotel stay during our road trip due to a huge winter storm, causing us to find an alternate route to Colorado. Since weather is not a speified reason for canceling my refund was denied. Apparently a severe weather strom that ended up shutting down I70 and potentially jeopardizing their customer's safety is not sufficient for this company. I will never book through this company again.
