“I purchased a phone on contract via a provider and person living in my house for a short time who left put this phone into lost mode, this phone is only 3 months old and apple can do nothing to take the lost mode off even though I have sent them bank statements and proof of purchase that person mentioned did this maliously, so please be aware when getting an iphone that the security is good if you loose the phone but if accidently put in lost mode they cannot help.”

My daughter snapped the charger in the charging port. Went to Apple Store and was told (by 3 different people) that it can't be fixed and that I need to replace my iPhone and pay 289GBP!!
went to a private lab - the guy in the lab took my phone, withdrew the broken piece, cleaned the charging port and gave me my phone (after checking it's charging) - all in less then 20 seconds!!”
