“We recently purchased a Manhattan calor gas heater in the hope we can heat our lounge when the cold weather arrives, instead of using our central heating. This heater is very smart and smaller than anticipated.
The heater arrived in a very timely fashion and was well packaged. You need to insert the logs and front glass. The gas bottle is nicely hidden at the back.
The instructions say to run the fire on the highest heat for 4 hours in a well ventilated area before actually using it to remove the initial smell.
Although we’ve not actually used it for heating purposes yet, we were very impressed with the heat generated from it when we ran it for 4 hours. We may consider getting a guard as it does get very hot.
Overall, we are very pleased with our purchase.”

“Appliance purchased is great. However getting the gas has been a nightmare and all retailers have been staying calor have not been attending. Calor also have stated the 4.5kg butane is no longer available which is a pain when this is how I set up as the festival I attended will not have any gas bigger than 5kg.
Any solutions on the web would be great.”

If you’ve got an empty gas bottle, you can exchange this for a like-for-like replacement at one of our Calor retailers nationwide. We recommend calling your local retailer to check availability and opening hours before travelling. There’s currently a hold on new cylinder issues so if you’re looking to buy a new bottle, I’m afraid we won’t be able to help just yet. Gas bottles are also unavailable on our online shop at present. We encourage customers to return any empty or unused cylinders to improve availability. If you have a gas bottle to return, please call your local Calor Distribution Centre (CDC), who will be able to advise accordingly.
