“Pods don't work well in our Nespresso machine. The machine puts out plain water for the first half of the cycle before starting to put out coffee. The result is weak, poor tasting coffee. Every once in a while a pod will output coffee for the entire cycle then the cup is acceptable. Been a Nespresso user for many years, have tried many brands and never seen malfunctioning pods before.”

“Good coffee. We have changed to these from Nespresso pods because of the compostability and the diminished exposure to aluminum. Some Artizan varieties (Peru) do not allow enough water flow to make a cup with Nespresso machines (we have 3 different machines and this problem applies to all of them). The espresso is weaker than many Nespresso types but there are several flavors that we like.”

“I was hoping for better than Nespresso pods, but the coffee tasted somewhat burnt and watered down. I am disappointed. If you can improve quality please let me know and I will give you another try.”

“I bought the Bonavita Enthusiast 8-Cup Drip Coffee Brewer with Thermal Carafe based on NYTimes Wirecutter review and am very pleased. Artisan's price was the best I found online and shipping was extremely fast (2 days). They even sent a pkg of their coffee to sweeten the deal. The coffee was sent separately and just came today, so I haven't sampled it yet, but it smells good. The machine is very easy to use with clear instructions. The water tank is removable and easy to fill. The coffee filter holder slides in and out easily. The pot is a thermal container, so there is no hot plate (yay). It makes excellent coffee--8 cups (about 4 mugs)-- in only a few minutes. The machine is attractive and sturdy.”
