“I’m incredibly disappointed with my recent experience. I've always been a loyal customer of George, especially loving their home products. This time, I placed an order worth around £50 and was really looking forward to receiving it. However, the delivery took far longer than expected, and when I finally called after the promised date, I was informed that my order was lost. Instead of offering a replacement, which is what I wanted, I was only promised a full refund. To add to my frustration, they only refunded the £3.95 delivery charge immediately, but not the rest of my order, even though they admitted the courier lost it. It’s now been 10 working days, far beyond the 3-5 days they promised, and I still haven’t received the rest of my refund. Customer service was a nightmare to deal with – long wait times and difficult communication. Judging by other reviews, it seems I’m not the only one facing these issues. It’s frustrating to see such false advertising about refunds when they could process the delivery refund on the spot. Why can't the rest of the refund be handled with the same efficiency?”

“Where is my delivery? I paid for delivery for today, took the day off to receive the goods. Got a text it would arrive 11am to 13:00 Got a call 11:15am asking where my building/door is... I gave instructions driver said cheers, OK, Now I check tye tracking link and it says 'delivery cancelled' there is no phone number, no other contact method to enquire. I need my kids school items delivered. What is going on?”

“Bought 4 T shirts in men's small size. They were clearly far too small - more like a child's size. Tried to return them by phoning customer. They said they would arrange a courier to pick up in 48 hrs - didn't contact me or collect. Next, I took them to an ASDA store. Very helpful customer services lady but didn't know how to arrange the dropbox returns. Eventually got a returns number, waited 5 days, got confirmation all items had been returned but only received half my refund. Checked ASDA website - states they were having problems with returns and wait 14 days. Waited, still no refund, so rang customer services. They said they couldn't access any of my order info as they were migrating their system, which hadn't happened yet. They also couldn't tell me when it would happen. Have no choice but to escalate the case via the bank/paypal. Very disappointed as I have bought from ASDA George before with no problem, but their customer service and quality of good is truly attrocious. Don't buy!!!!”

“Horrible customer services to deal with. I ordered some baby clothes, which Evri have decided to deliver to a parcel shop 50 miles away from my address on Asda's behalf! I have phone 3 times to say this is unacceptable and been promised my order has been cancelled twice and refunded the 3rd time, which was a lie! Contacted today using FB messenger and been told that I will not be refunded until my parcel has sat in the parcel shop for 10 days and then returned to them. The order was made on the 4th of August and has sat in an Evri depot since the 9th of August and not moved for 10 days. I have paid Asda for delivery to my address and I am their customer, they then pay Evri to deliver so they are Evri's customer. They should be responsible for chasing up where the item is and why they are not delivering it to my home address not me! AVOID AVOID AVOID!”

“PAID FOR OVERNIGHT DELIVERY ON SUNDAY STILL WAITING FOR PARCEL .HAD B AD EXPER WILL NOT BUY ANYTHING AGAIN WISHED I TOOK NOTICE OF SO MANY BAD REVIEWS ,STILL WAITING FOR MY PARCEL .THEY MAY AS WELL NOT HAVE CUSTOMER SERVICE . “They kept telling me the parcel had been delivered to a safeplace (which I had not provided) and after multiple back and forth showed a photo of it on the busy street where it would have likely been stolen. They made communication very difficult and I still have yet to be refunded or sent my delivery again. Yodel was their delivery service, and they should have communicated the issue between them.”

“Ordered a trampoline way in time for Grandaons birthday. Only one parcel on Monday arrived out of two! Needed for Friday as his trampoline party with his friends. Called on the Tuesday basically said they would email the delivery courier and get back to me 24 hrs. They didn’t so I had to call them again to be told to wait another 24hrs. Called again the next day as was getting close to his birthday to be told wait another 24/48 hrs. Same generic waffle each time from Chinese girls. I can understand how upset you are etc but they don’t do anything to actually help you. It’s now a week and one day overdue so had to call them again today with exactly the same response !!!! Either wait 24/48 and they will get back to me or they can arrange collection of the one parcel and give me a refund!!!! Still no trampoline. They have said it probably lost in the post so to order another one and pay now and they will collect the other one and give a refund. Absolutely disgusting service !!! So now I have had to fork out more money in the hope that they keep to their word and actually give a refund. I didn’t expect this from George .com I am fuming”

“Absolutely appalling customer service. Items were sent that were completely different to what was ordered. I’ve since had multiple phone calls with them that have taken up more than two and half hours of my time, and still can’t get them to organise a refund. They just repeat the same lines over and over again like a robot. I will never buy from George again.”

“Completely incompetent, wish I had looked at their reviews prior to ordering! the quality of the products they sell ia appalling, purchased a cooker hood, it fell apart with 3 weeks making an awful noise, tried to get a replacement and that was like dealing with the keystone cops or Laurel and Hardy, complete incompetents, messed up the collection several times, gave me the wrong date for collection then didnt have a replacement to give me, useless, I ended up taking the old cooker hood to the dump myself, stay away from these incompetents.”

“DO NOT ORDER! ASDA and Abhishek in particular are truly the worst Parcel delivered to behind communal bins for all the world to see. Neither safe no sanitary! Surprise surprise the parcel was stolen before I even got home to try and find it EVRI admit that the delivery was not safe yet ASDA and Abhishek won't give any refund and told me to go ask my neighbours if they have seen the parcel!!! Utter joke In conclusion, don't order unless you want your goods delivered to an unsafe and unsanitary location you didn't ask for and you want them to be stolen!”

You will never get refunded as the service is so extremely poor that no one can manually refund you there! I had that few times and had to get finally my refund via PayPal i had to open a case. Calling customer service is completely useless and waste of time they keep only saying we have escalated the case to relevant department! Payment department keeps saying error with PayPal!! This is what they tell customers since years because they simply can't refund manually if it doesn't go via return system on app or website!!! How extremely poor is that?? No problem never asda george for me again and i will get my money back from PayPal again.”

“Placed order 9th May,still not received . Asda say no info on courier tracking available,yet order says delivered. Rung 3 times. Still no resolution. And I can't reorder or get refund until updated tracking info received.which was requested days ago. Order 129553650. I have not been able to find anyway to make a formal complaint to them either. Customer service was no help.”

“Paid for home delivery for Christmas presents to be delivered 21/12 for them not to arrive upon phoning customer services to be told no deliveries would be expected to go out until 28/12 to them be told my payment wouldn’t go back into my bank until 24 hours after cancelling then 5:7 working days to have my money back shame on you Asda right on top of Christmas 😡”

“Appalling. I ordered a slab floor cushion for my father, who is dying from cancer and needs to keep his legs up to help the blood circulation in his legs. Paid for delivery and still not recieved anything a week after it was supposed to arrive. Customer service don't care. I'm trying to get my money back, but I've been fobbed off, lied to and passed from pillar to post. Don't waste your money on this atrocious company.”

“You would be surprised to see a company like George have such a disapointing service, they have a fast response time however takes them forever to resolve a case. I've refunded an item and it's been more than 1 month for the sales team to send that across to me. Still waiting and does not seem like i would get a refund any time soon.”

“Total George disaster at every stage of the transaction. Ordered for next day delivery. Received an email 30 mins later saying delayed. Due to imminent holiday rang customer service and (after 20 mins) cancelled order with refund agreed. Guess what? No cancellation and no refund. Order delivered whilst I was away on holiday. Not only that, some boxes delivered smashed. Had to return at store - except Customer Service counter printer not working. Then comments on Customer Service not allowed on George website and removed. You get the picture? Hassle, hassle, hassle.”
