“Super! My two wallet order arrived earlier today, and the event is worth (to me at least) asking for your indulgence in reading a short anecdote. Truth be told this was mostly a random and emotional purchase on my part, given my visit to YouTube researching boots made of Horween Chromexcel I had no expectations of landing upon Ashland Leather Company who was sourcing shell cordovan from Horween to handcraft wallets. After all, I was looking to buy service boots. I was so taken at the beauty of the wallets coming out of this little unknown (to me at least) shop in Chicago just minutes from home that I knew my fate was sealed. It’s not like I have hundreds of dollars to gamble on a fling, however, and after placing the order I seriously wondered if I’d made a huge blunder; nobody spends this much on wallets without touching or seeing them. So nervous, in fact, that when the box arrived, I didn’t open it at first, and when I finally did, I was armed with a Bulleit bourbon in hand. I then opened the box and carefully examined the beautiful wallet (including of course the obligatory ‘sniff the new leather’ test), but, I didn’t summon the courage (until the second bourbon) to actually load it with credit cards and the little remaining cash I had laying about. Super! The first records of the Latin word super date back to the 1620s. It’s an independent word from the Latin prefix super-, which means “above,” “beyond,” or “to a very high degree.” Let me elaborate. First, the leathers used to make their wallets are the most unique and one-off pieces I have ever seen. Second, the designs and fit/finish are just awesome. My compliments to Ashland Leather Company and in particular Phil who showcases all their wares on YouTube!”

“Fat Herbie Natural Shell Cordovan. I ordered this wallet as a Christmas present for my son. He recently became a police officer and needed a bigger wallet for his police ID. He has a Tony The Ant wallet and loves it, but it just wasn't tall enough. He talks about getting a Fat Herbie so my wife and I thought this would be the perfect gift for him. After receiving the wallet I was really amazed at the beauty of the shell cordovan and the way the wallet was constructed, everything was perfect. I really like the Horween stamp that is on the reverse side between the card slots. I've received many items from Ashland Leather and they're always so beautifully made. We're looking forward to him unwrapping this present”

“I ordered Johnny the Fox for my boyfriend as a birthday present. He was very happy with the gift. You can tell the quality of leather and see the fine craftmanship that goes into this product. My only complaint; I got his wallet embossed with his initials and I wish the embossing was more pronounced so you could see it a little better> other than that I think it's a great product. Can't wait to see how it holds up.”

“I have been eyeballing the Fat Herbie selections over the past months and catching up on Phil's youtube vids. Couldn't make up my mind on which Herbie to settle on until I saw Phil's private stock vid featuring the Thin Fat Herbie Stone Horsehide Latigo. That did it for me and I hit the BIN button. The wallet is very thin which was the main attraction for me. The leather is very smooth and you can tell it is durable. With 11 cards and 12 bills, it is still a slim profile. Fits in front and back pockets with no problem getting access to it. Great quality what more is there to say?”

“Very easy to order my two-shot card case online and great communication from the Ashland team. Item arrived today 24th November Sydney Australia which was exceptional timing. Quality well made item, beautiful colour and smells great as well. Cash can be folded in half and does stick out of the top a few millimeters which makes it easier to grab. Smaller pocket holds a few cards but over stuffing will make it just slight harder to take your cash out just until it stretches out a bit. A great wallet in my opinion if you are after a front pocket minimalist wallet.”

“I've been inadvertently building a collection out of Ashland Leather's various wallets as I find the different styles useful depending on the needs of my everyday carry. So far, my collection is all in English Tan Dublin as I seem to gravitate toward that leather. I now have a Johnny the Fox, Bugs Moran, Frank the Enforcer. My latest addition, the One Shot Card Case is also in (what else?) English Tan Dublin. This is a minimalist's dream but every bit as nice as my other Ashland Leather wallets. As simple as it gets but still elegantly made and perfectly sized. I use it when I only want to carry my driver's license, two credit cards, and a few bills folded into quarters. Everything fits easily with a little room to spare. Easy to use, and as slim as possible, I love this front pocket wallet. Highly recommended!!”

They don’t wear out, I just wanted different styles and colors, and have given a few as gifts. Since that wasn't in stock I ordered "100% cobalt blue dublin johnny the fox" and I really like the dublin leather and color.
