“Hello Phil: I love the quality of the wallet that I purchased from Ashland; however, I sincerely wish your company made a trifold verson with the bill pocket being just a bit wider. It's a bit awkward for me to fit cash into my new Ashland wallet. For reference, I have carried Bosca brand old leather tri-folds for years and abousolutely loved the desgin, dimentions, etc. Unfortunately, Bosca's leather quality has decreased to the extent I will not purchase another one. Having said all of that, if I sent you one of my old Bosca trifolds, could Ashland make a bespoke trifold for me out of Shell Cordovan? You could forego the plastic windows included in the Bosca wallet. Just having the vertical orientation for my cards would be great.”

“I went looking for a replacement wallet to cut down on bulk, but the "minimalist" wallets were just too bare bones for me, so I set my sights on finding a good bifold. I looked at a couple videos for the best bifold wallets and when I heard about the Johnny The Fox, I was sold. It's not perfect, but it's still great. I'll miss the lack of coin pouch and ID window, but I barely carry coins and I just put my licence in one of the front slots. Now onto the experience so far. It was a luxurious unboxing experience, the box itself opened up to a pouch with the wallet and sitting on what I can only describe as a padding so soft that it's a shame to not store the wallet in said pouch and box. Then I held up the wallet and instinctively smelled it and it smelled lovely, my previous one had no smell at all. And then I transferred over what I used most (and did a bit of a clearout in the process) and at the end of it, it was quite literally half the thickness of my old wallet, then I did a few in and outs with my front jeans pocket and sure enough the bulk was severely cut down. Overall, I'm pleased to give this a genuine 5 stars for quality and having a great mix of form and function. It's definitely worth the price and feels like it's built to a tight tolerance (I'm sure cards will be easier to insert and remove after some time, but did take me a finger and a thumb to push it in the first time)”

“I am very satisfied with my purchase. My old wallet lasted for 40 years and so far I’m pretty confident this one could do the same. Photos don’t really do justice to the appearance or feel. I got the natural shell cordovan & I’m glad that I did because I feel like the patina progress is a unique firsthand experience. The color 8 was very tempting, though. I’m also glad that I waited for a private stock item that caught my eye. To be honest, the Ashland symbol looks like an “@“ which delayed my purchase. My private stock wallet doesn’t have any words or symbols other than the Horween stamp which was a huge plus for me. If you’re looking for a classic leather wallet, I definitely recommend the vertical Bugs Moran. Especially the private stocks.”

“Ordering a custom wallet was challenging. There's always something off each shipment of the wallet which per longed the entire experience. Even at the final shipment, they had the vertical card slots on the wrong side. Why final? A couple of reasons: 1. It had already been 3 months since I purchased the wallet and I couldn't wait for another month risking yet again another chance the order gets screwed up 2. The material is high quality and even though it's not the wallet I wanted, it's still a great wallet. It would have been nice if it had worked out. If I knew things would not have work out, I would have just bought a wallet that was off the shelf; it would have saved me money. I don't know what's going on with the qa, but something's gotta give. Never once did they get it right. I don't think I'll ever order a custom wallet from ashland leathers again. I don't mind ordering whatever they have in stock, though.”

“I am very pleased with the wallet and my husband loved it. He said it is well designed and very durable. I like the quality craftmanship it is awesome, you can see they take pride in their work, it is perfect not a flaw! I also like they have a lifetime warranty, it makes me feel good they stand behind their products. Our oldest son bought the same exact wallet but his is natural color and he was so pleased with his wallet, he told me to get his Dad one and I did. I recommend this wallet, you will not be disappointed.”
