“Ordered a marbled black watch band. I received a green watch band. I contacted Ashland and was told that Horween uses a green/black die so black marbled shell is often green or other colors. I responded that regardless of the intended color, I ordered a marbled black and received green, including green stitching. They back of the watch band is solid green. This seems a silly discussion to have but after going back and forth much too long Ashland said they would exchange - but I haven't heard back about the exchange yet.”

Hi, Mike! We are sending you a replacement strap in another color. Thanks for taking the time to leave a review! The marbled black shell can be a little confusing. Horween leather tannery creates this color by starting with multiple layers of black stain, then slowly scraping the layers of finish away. The result is a random and unique color range that will range from black, orange, and green.

“Green Dublin Capone Money Clip w/X hot stamp. Definitely a 5 out of 5! Straight out of the delivery box I was impressed with the packaging. The exterior of the gift box had Ashland's wax seal in bright red. As I opened it further, I found a linen bag containing the money clip. I SOOOOO wanted to do an unboxing, but I'm not real good at that stuff. Ok on to the Capone. The green Dublin is hard to describe if you haven't seen it on the video. It's a dark rich green with lighter spots where the leather has been worked. The lighter sections really set off the darker. I am impressed with the workmanship. No stitch is out of place. The spring clip is very strong, I had 30 bills in it over the weekend and it performed nicely. I have gotten a few comments on how thin and green it is. To which I explained that the guys at Ashland custom made it for me at a very reasonable price. Well Phil, what can I say. Your product is second to none! You will be seeing my name again. The quality and craftsmanship is spot on. Thanks again! J. Swartwood”

“You would think it would not be that difficult to put together a leather watchstrap or billfold. But if that was really true, I wouldn't have a drawer full of the things, all of them very lightly used. That's not the case with the Ashland strap and billfold I bought recently. Great leather, basic but extremely well-executed designs, in daily use since they arrived. Now I know what to get my better friends and more-tolerable relatives as holiday gifts this year.”
