“The all-reverse black shell cordovan Tall Tony is outstanding. The choice of thickness for the various parts of the wallet are perfect. This Tony has a thinner piece on the outside of the bill slot, making the wallet much more slender than it otherwise might be. (In contrast, my amaretto shell Fat Herbie has a much thicker piece on the outside of the bill slot, making for a thicker/stiffer wallet that can't hold many bills and "creaks" when opening and closing.) I also purchased a reverse black shell Key Vault. The leather is great---matching the Tall Tony---but the snap is glitchy and often difficult to open/close. The Horween shell cordovan looks/smells/feels great. I have other wallets made from Shinki Hikaku shell and Rocado shell. Both are equally smooth and glossy, but they don't have that fabulous Horween "veg" fragrance.”

“I ordered 6 coasters. They all work. 5 were of the same leather and they were all black. Not a complaint for $2 though. I am using and enjoying them. Just wish I could have sampled other leathers.”

“I really wanted to give a 5 star review, being it’s a $250 wallet I wanted my fiancé to have the very best and even though the stamping looks great and the leather its self too I open the back slot where you hold the cash and there is a big marking....I’m not sure if it’s suppose to look like that, doesn’t seem right to me though and it’s only on the one side. I sure hope my fiancé will still enjoy this wallet. However the owner has wonderful customer service and stands behind is products so if my fiancé don’t love the wallet he will make it right! That says a lot.”

Hi Hope! If for any reason your husband doesn't love the wallet just let me know and we can swap it out. My goal is to get them a wallet that they love and will last a lifetime. I'd be curious to see what marking you are seeing -- it might be the Horween shell cordovan ink stamp which most people often want in their wallets.

“Be patient. While advertised to hold 4 cards in each slot, a new Fat is tight with only 2. May require a little time for Cordovan to stretch. Also., I made the online purchase hurriedly. After the fact I noticed the option of adding a free monogram. I quickly emailed Ashland, but it was not an email they regularly check. Be patient! I've had my wallet less than a week, but am very satisfied at this brief juncture.”

“Great wallet overall. Thought I am a little worried about the pockets since I started the week with two cards in one slot then today switched to one single card in that same slot and now the card will fall off whenever the wallet is upside-down. Other than that, this is an amazing wallet.”

“Quality and look are wonderful. Only gripe would be the placement of the personalized initials on the comb sheath. I think it would a little better to place the initials on the opposite side (rather than share the side) of the made in chicago stamp . Very happy otherwise!”

“The shell cordovan watch strap is extremely comfortable. The only reason why I didn’t give it an excellent is because the threading that is used to sew the strap where the buckle is actually scratches or rubs against my skin to where I feel it. I was able to soften it up by using an emery board and some shell cordovan cream to soften it.”

“Leather seems like very good quality. There was a end stitch that I had to take a lighter to because it was loose and coming out. And one of the pockets is a slight uneven on the one side of the wallet. All and all I like it so far and I’m probably just nitpicking a little.”

“The natural shell is absolutely gorgeous and the edge work is excellent. Unfortunately my wallet came with some of the thread coming out along one of the pockets but I was able to undo one of the stitches and secure the thread with a lighter. Other than that, the wallet is great and I'm super happy about the purchase”

“They are great, and I am happy with the product for the most part. I had requested two extra buckle holes when I ordered them, but somehow they missed it. Since they are the unique teardrop shape I don't know know if i'll be able to do it myself. Still, the product itself is wonderful.”
