After the regular warranty expired, I purchased an extended protection contract for my LG Dishwasher from Asurion. When it began to leak at the end of the cycle, I called for a repair. My dishwasher was a little more than 1 year old at the time. I was told that my contract had been cancelled -- it had not been, and I had documentation to prove it. After several attempts I was told it was up to me to prove that my contact was in effect. I called the appropriate department and immediately confirmed that I did indeed have a valid contract, and it was still in force. After many phone calls, I eventually was given approval for a repair appointment. It took a while to get the appointment, but the technician came and inspected my machine. I told him a few times that the leak occurred ONLY at the end of the cycle. He started a cycle and there was no leaking, as expected at the first part of the cycle -- I had already told him that there wouldn't be any that early. He left with more that 90 minutes left on the cycle and reported to Asurion that there was no problem. The owner of this company then accused me of trying to present a fraudulent claim, because according to him I wanted a new dishwasher, and he could prove it. I had never met the owner, so I am not sure how he came to this conclusion or what "proof" he had. Asurion took the word of this company. I called a different factory authorized company and paid out of my own pocket. I was told that this model was known for leaking and that the cause was due to parts that often failed to function as they were designed to over time. The parts in question were replaced and my dishwasher has not leaked since.

I have been an asurion customer for over 20 years. I rarely file a claim. Can count the account of claims I've filed on 1 hand. Although they have gotten better, they still find any reason to continue to raise the price. I started out at $10 per line, now it's up to $68. It was just increased about a year ago. Just taking advantage of customers that don't abuse our over use the services. My bill runs $10 for 2 lines total. I'm paying them $68 per month of that bill. Sad.

Where to begin.... Your website is deceiving and inefficient. Waiting for a page to load causes one to think it's not working and makes one tap another time only to learn the website is loading slow. Anyway, asurion makes it incredibly frustrating to start a claim. It's most likely coded to cause frustration and deceit to drive people away from using it. This is something in reporting to the State Attorneys General office, Dept of Consumer Affairs and to Amazon corporate.
