Run away! Not sure why Verizon continues to work with these scammers. The reason why they "have a back order" is because they're reparing them and send them out as new. After 15 years, I'm leaving Verizon. This was it. Nope. Nope. Nope.

I made a claim to fix my screen which was pushed back then canceled by asurion and notes lied saying I canceled the appt when I wasted my whole day off waiting for them called the Lakeland store and was basically told to stfu and he could do nothing for me called the ceo dept and said for my inconvenience they would deliver a same day replacement from 7 pm to 9pm waited up for tech that never showed never called and the appt canceled itself at 950 pm this is the worst experience ever and I am 2.5 seconds from reporting them to the BBB. They don't deliver on what they say there is no communication and customer service sucks. I wasted both my days off waiting to be stood up

🛑 🛑 STOP 🛑 🛑 LISTEN UP !!!!!! DO NOT PURCHASE THIS INSURANCE, I GOT IT FOR MY CELL PHONE, FIRST THEY push you off pain it's manufactures warranty then when it's not I come back to them they put me through the ringer and at the end they say that I purchased it the wrong way and it's not covered I told them you should have told me that when I paid for the insurance policy when they asked me how I purchased it and I spent two hours going back and forth and they kept coming up with excuses not to fulfill the insurance coverage so don't even think about using this company it's a fraud prod

Beware of Asurion! This company is notorious for not honoring its warranty obligations and engaging in various fraudulent practices including warranty fraud, racketeering, and both mail and wire fraud. They're also accused of posting fake positive reviews online to mislead potential customers. I experienced their poor service firsthand with my $18,000 KitchenAid refrigerator. Despite paying for the Asurion Appliance Plus plan, getting it repaired was an ordeal. The trouble began in July 2023 when my fridge malfunctioned. A technician was dispatched, noted that parts were needed, and promised to return with parts to fix the appliance. What ensued was seven months of false promises about ordered parts, accompanied by attempts to push buyouts/payouts ranging from $1,070 to $10,000, instead of repairs. These offers were never honored. Exasperated, I filed a small claims court case and they were served. Remarkably, three days after, Asurion finally ordered the parts. However, when the technician returned, he said Asurion ordered the wrong parts, did not perform any repairs, and damaged my hardwood floor, then disappeared. During court proceedings, Asurion ignored a subpoena and their method for valuing appliances remained questionable, with erratic buyout offers. The judge highlighted the availability of parts and questioned why repairs weren’t made. Ultimately, the court ruled in my favor, mandating Asurion to pay a significant sum, including interest and legal fees. Despite this, Asurion has disregarded the judgment and continued to manipulate their customer portal and falsely indicating issues with my payment method which my credit card company confirmed there was nothing wrong with the payment method. The Asurion case underscores their disregard for customer rights, terms and conditions, and legal obligations. If you’re dealing with Asurion, assert your rights and consider small claims to pursue justice. Their consistent poor service and evasion tactics show a deep disrespect for customers and the legal system.

I put in a claim for my Dell Printer. I ended up filing 4 claims for the same printer, same problem. The first time I received an email stating that the contact information did not match. I called and was told that my address was not matching. They did not have the word "drive" for my email. Because of that, they closed that claim and reopened another claim with a new number. I had to resubmit everything again. This time they sent another email stating the contact information did not match again. I called and told them that my address had been updated in their system and was told that the picture of my license was blurry and could not be used. They closed that claim and reopened another one. I completed my claim on my phone. I told them that when taking the pictures, the website would not accept any that were blurry, not complete, etc. The website would state why it was not useable. I would retake the pictures until they were accepted. The person I spoke with had nothing to say about that. At this point I was getting very angry. He told me to resubmit my information and call them right after. He assured me someone would look at the claim right away. I resubmitted the claim, again, and called. The person I spoke with said my driver's license was blurry. I told her that the website accepted the pics. At this point I said that I feel like they purposely make it hard so that a person will just give up and then they can keep any money they have made. I then told the person I wanted to close my account. They transferred me to that office. The lady I spoke with put me on hold after I told her that I wanted to close my account. The call eventually dropped. I called back and had to tell another person I wanted to close the account. That person told me that my account had been closed. I told them that the first person did not tell me that. This whole experience was very frustrating.

Asurion has an incredible scam game plan. I keep calling their Customer Service, reps politely take the information, then transfer the call to their “claim experts” where call gets disconnected, EVERY TIME!!!

I'm honestly convinced that this service is a scam. I have been trying to complete a claim for my phone for over two weeks now, and I am beyond frustrated. After being on hold for hours and hours and constantly communicating with the representatives, they finally said that my replacement device was out for delivery. OF COURSE, once the device was in my city (according to UPS tracking system), there was a "return to sender request" for no explained reason. I called Asurion and they stated that their system automatically canceled my claim, when I persisted in asking why this occurred, they could give me no answer. So, here we are again, filing yet another claim that I'm sure will result similarly. I pay so much money for this insurance system, and I regret not investing in some other form of insurance besides Asurion. THEY ARE SO UNHELPFUL, INEFFICIENT, AND INCOMPETENT. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!! Buy AppleCare or insurance through BestBuy or something instead. I cannot express enough how much this company wastes your time and money.

WORST COMPANY EVER!!! And from the looks of it, I got off easy compared to those that had phone "insurance" through them. I got an Asurion "protection" plan at Staples for my Epson ET-4850 printer. Side note-Don't EVER buy an Ecotank printer. They make very poor prints, and every tanks' color will be permanently clogged if you don't constantly use it. So, a little after a year of owning it, the printer's tanks' pegs are clogged. I sent it off to Asurion after chatting in circles with a robot for about 45 minutes. They sent it back the same as it ever was, completely useless and clogged. They had a form attached to it that said it was unclogged and that they did a print test, which is impossible because it will not print!!! So yeah, they're not afraid to flat out LIE to us. Does anybody else wanna do a Class Action Suit with me?!!

I have tried to file 2 claims for different services which were both listed as covered. The first time I was told documentation I would need from servicing, I acquired and provided it, several weeks later they said they needed additional documentation from BEFORE servicing, which obviously could not be done now since servicing had already been completed to provide the first documentation, as such the claim was denied. The second time, I called to file a claim on a basic service was outright told that isn't covered even though documentation cleared stated it was, leaving me to pay 100% out of pocket. Only thing you can be assured of with Asurion is they will assuredly not provide any assistance.

My underaged son’s iPhone 11 128 G battery exploded while charging in his sleep. I called and made a claim. My phone was promised for same day delivery. My phone did not come in the time frame given after I had paid for the replacement device. We were given ability to track the technician delivering the device. The technician never responded or called back after I texted and called. I was forced to call and go through the prompts several times every time I called them back. I have paid for this insurance for over 7 years I have not made a claim since 2021. There was 0 compensation for me the customer that has been inconvenienced. The phone is for my teenage son. For my ability to track and contact. This has left us venerable. They have given me a delivery time for the second time 3 days after my claim. I was supposed to receive the same day. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told he’ll tell me the compensation is that I will receive a phone at all and I’ll have to wait on hold for 20 minutes to speak to a supervisor. I would think there would be more understanding due to my young son being endangered by an explosion of an iPhone battery while he rested. There was no compensation or compassion. I am extremely disappointed. My issue has yet to be resolved

The replacement phone they sent is absolute trash for a replacement for my broken phone. The camera quality is off, and the screen glitches constantly. Try to reach out, and all they do us try to upsell you plans. 0/10 stars, would not recommend

Got a replacement Apple 14 phone from Asurion. They said woukd you have a guy deliver and transfer data from old phone which was fine but forward camera not working. All good showed up as scheduled. Started the data transfer on the two phones. Tipped him 20. Said woukd take 40 minutes. 12 hours later in the am WiFi and devices close the whole time, still had not transferred fully. But it HAD transferred the phone number to new device which I could not use. Back and forth Asdurion, ATT and ATT store. I have Old phone with APPs and e mails but NO PHONE SERVICE. Complety sucks. Next time not buying insurance. I’ll just buy a new phone. Having another replacement phone sent Fed ex tomorrow for “defective” prior phone. Wasted hours on the phone. Perhaps if I’d just had gone to ATT store to begin with. I had A camera problem. Now I have A no ability to call/receive call problem. Thank you so very much.

I have an old Pixel 2 phone a friend needed to use after losing his; I took it to Asurion in Arlington and in less than 30 minutes it was reset & ready to use. Excellent service! I always take my phone issues to Asurion and they always fix my issues!! Excellent!!

Beware of this company, they over charged me on a replacement phone, I was charged 279.00 when I was only to be charged 99.00 due to assurion customer service processing my claim wrong.. they processed my claim as a lost phone when I told them I had the damaged phone to return to them. I then had to wait 4 days for my replacement phone when it normally takes 24 hrs. I then call assurion back they say I would have to return the new replacement phone back to them, once they receive it they would process the correct claim. Which mind you I would need to wait for a refund of 279.00 and then pay another fee of 99.00. And my kid would wait another 4 days to recieve a new phone. So that would be almost 8 to 10 days without a phone in total. I ask for a higher supervisor they direct me to a Craig in the ceo office. He offered me deals that I was not into. Such as an upgraded phone,(mind you after I return the replacement phone) or he said he would give me 1200.00 and then I would need to purchase a new device (once again how long would this process take for the refund and then to go find another device. So I ask him why they just can't credit my account the 60.00 for three months(totaling the 180.00 that I got overcharged). He tells me he needs to contact Verizon for this, calls me lastnight tells me he needs to put in writing to Verizon and would call me back today. He never called I called him to be told he has to call Verizon. He gets them on the phone for them to tell me they won't credit my account because its an assurion mistake. So basically I am out 180.00 because assurion customer service processing my claim wrong. I have been with Verizon and assurion since 2014, I have 5 lines and carry the full insurance on all my lines. This is really unacceptable in my opinion.
