When product arrived I checked the connections like I always do. Two connections pulled straight out of the Anderson plug. Brought this to the attention of Australian Direct and got the response of quote "thanks", wasn't the response I was looking for but it's not redarc now is it!

The product works well for the most part, however, be aware of the solar input maximum voltage of 23V. It is low compared to most options on the market and a lot of modern solar panels simply don't work - I've tried 3 myself and now need to upgrade to Redarc.

The 200w folding panels fell apart after a few uses. I had to resort to pop riveting the frame just to use it. Poor quality for what seems a premium price.

hopefully just an isolated unlucky experience but my awning arrived defective with the velcro shower head mounting strip useless (same fluffy velcro on both sides). australian direct initially only offered store credit stating the repair job should be easy enough for me but was seriously disappointing a company deemed it the customers responsibility to repair a BRAND NEW product. Plus it's riveted in so it'll be a messy job repairing. Also the shower head is poor quality plastic and broke on the first day with the entire interior structure coming loose from the exterior housing so the water on/off switch was ineffective and it leaked profusely out of the bottom of the shower head. AustralianDirect offered me $40 refund to do the repairs myself and have told me to expect a replacement shower head (that I've only been supplied tracking info for this morning after requesting again after a week from the resolution) but kind of underwhelming and disappointing honestly

Purchased kickass oven and on the 3rd use the oven base (where the element is) buckled and swelled up. This was only on on a temp of 150deg for about 20 mins so I would hate to see what would happen if I tried to cook a roast at 180 for an hour or so. The base swelled to the point where it was almost touching the bottom rack which then caused the food to burn. Contacted Australian direct expecting a repair or replacement only to be told that it was perfectly normal for the oven to buckle and deform and after further communication they now will not return my emails. My personal opinion after thinking about it is that the kickass oven has a 130W element compared to 100W for the Travel Buddy and Road Chef and this may be the cause of the problems (too much heat for design of oven). I did contact retailers of both the Travel Buddy and Road Chef and was told that the buckling and swelling of the oven base is a very rare occurrence with those ovens and would be covered under warranty. Not so with Kickass and very disappointing.PS, I gave the oven 2 stars because up until these issues it worked ok.

I have been very disappointed with my dealings with Australia Direct. I had a number of sales items in my cart and after a brief interruption, I returned to my cart to proceed to check-out only to discover that one of the key items had returned to full price!! I rang the call centre (located in the Philippines) to see if the original price could be honoured, the gentleman I spoke to was pleasant, however, he had no product knowledge and really only acted as an answering service. He advised me that somebody would get back to me, however, he wasn’t sure when! I waited a day, in which time another item went out of stock so I had to process my order (#N100266750) with the items that were left. It has now been three days and I am yet to get a response. The whole thing has left a bad taste in my mouth – I was trying to support an Australian Company and their Australia staff, however, after my experience I’m going back to eBay!

Tried to purchase 12v water pump, but couldn't change box from 2 to 1. Tried to contact about the issue but couldn't access a email. Then asked to write a review but had to do it through facebook or google post rather than straight forward email; which I hope this is. I place order next day when box read 1. Rest is plain sailing. Products are usually good but the warehouse is really slow , can't say if it's on time as it's been 5 days already and hasn't left the warehouse and I don't know if damaged yet either

I live local & wanted to pick up. I could not find any where on there that would let me do so. It said I could, but at checkout it wouldn't allow me. Very poor.

I just purchased a 75 litre fridge/freezer and slide with table. Now I live in the Kimberleys WA. I did mention to the customer service person( as the website wasn’t slowing to make my purchases after a dozen attempts) The transport cost is say over the top!! It shouldn’t cost I’m the hundreds, either under $100 or feee delivery. I did wish to purchase the 88 litres esky, but I’m not prepared to pay the cost of the item I’m transport prices. Also the fridge cover pockets on the side have been wrecked due to getting caught in the slide. The top part of the fidge cover us worn out a hole from rubbing on the inside of my canopy. It’s not so robust as you say. Last but not least , I had to pick it up from the couriers workplace.

Was super excited to get my hot water unit for camping over Easter, but I was very disappointed when the hose to the shower head broke before 1 person could even shower. Not very outback proof if you ask me. Will have to send back for warranty

When it comes to a warranty issues ,you the customer become there quality control officer and there refrigeration technicians , as they use every excuse to eliminate taking it to an authorised technician to deal with the problem. And insist that you solve the problem.

Video instructional video was excellent, awaiting arrival of VSR so I can attach to my 4WD. However I had a technical query which was to determine exactly which vsr set up to order, which not only wasn,t answered, I was referred elsewhere. I had to figure it out for myself, so, tech support severely lacking.

Disappointed with the postage costs charged. Having purchased the hot water system previously in July 2020 and charged $10.11 for postage to now be charged $55.30 both as TNT is crazy.
