Auto windscreen did not complete the job to a high standard. They ripped the side trims on both sides of the windscreen from the inside. The trims were not removed correctly leaving a tear that was visible from the inside. They also changed the booking time when it was scheduled to go ahead. When the complaint was made, they offered to replace the trimmings free of charge. This will be the third week I have had to wait to get the job done.

Windscreen smashed. Phoned and arranged appointment for following day. No sign of fitter. Call them and get told it will acually be 5 days before they get to me. "24hr, 7 days" should be fined under misrepresentation. Having paid excess already I couldn't go elsewhere. Not impressed.

Had an appointment for between 10.30-12.30 he turned up at 9.15 when I was on the school run advised him I would make my way home and I did to receive a txt advising me he has left!!! I have taken the day off work in order to have this done and when I called the contact centre to complain I was met with an attitude of I couldn't care less! So thank you very much for wasting my time!

Window replaced on Friday (4pm) due to being vandalised at the vets and it had shattered again by Saturday (10am). Company refused any idea that it could be their responsibility despite the fact that prior to this the window had been fine for 8 years. Having to pay excess again!

I have cancelled the service and they have agreed to issue a refund for the deposit. 10 days later and after a multiple phone calls I still have not received the money back. I was now told that it may take up to 15 working days. I got home today and instead of the refund I got invoice for cancellation fee. Not only they have taken my money but now demand more money. Avoid at all cost and don't pay them any money upfront!

Would be 0 stars but cannot be given. Promised fitting of glass between 09.15 and 11.15 but did not turn up. Customer services are a complete joke promising fitter would call but as yet no call. So i cancelled and have another company doing work as i write this review, and this bunch of cowboys want to charge a cancellation fee of £35.00. In my opinion if you need glass for your car try elsewhere first i know i should have. These guys give the muppets a bad name.

Terrible customer service , first of all my new screen turned up scratched so got taken back so lost a day off work . Then the new screen turned up but the engineer accidentally broke my silver trim on my Audi my window in drivers side would not line up so left with huge gap . Thank god it hasn't rained or my seats would of got wet . Then I was told they would order a full set of trim so it didn't look odd . But only tuned up with one part . So that went back . Now going to lose another day off work in total that will be 4 days lose if earnings for me . I can understand accidents happen but no compensation for losing this timecoff work and still not full set of trim as the car is a 03 plate and clearly they only want to put one piece of new trim that doesn't match the rest and they think I'm happy with there work and customer services. Waiting for calls back constant lies with never use again . Disgusting hate being lied to and messed about so much . Issue still not resolved just get told by complaints they will fit one bit of trim that don't match and I'm not being given anything for the time I've lost of work due to there mistake

Didn't turn up in the 2 hour time slot they had organised. And decided to reschedule for a later time without even notifying me!! Only found out by ringing to complain that the appointment had changed. They didn't think to call.....Meant I had to rush around to find someone else to collect my child from school. Complained to the customer service team and received a poor version of an apology. Very disapointed.

Avoid if at all possible. They specialise in terrible customer service and the fast, sloppy fit of parts. After 2 months of phone calls, I finally managed to get them to use the correct (manufacturer) glass for the car, the manufacturer glass at my cost under an insurance replacement. I pay for this over the phone, several hundred pounds. First attempt at replacement: text me the day before to set a time (great), arrived late (bad). Gave the chap tea and biscuits and he set to work. 90 mins later, the glass was in the car. It was squint, not sealed fully to car, scuttle damaged and not sitting correctly, seal not in properly, some of the plastic trim scratched (terrible). At least he admitted it wasn't acceptable. In the process, the parking permit for the car was also removed with the old glass and not taken off. I phone customer services to express my dissatisfaction. Someone will come out in a week to have a look. Every time it rains, the inside of the car gets wet. I write the details for the parking permit in the window but still get parking tickets every second day. For the assessment, at 5pm the day before I have to phone to see that they are still coming. They are, given a time over the phone. Fitter arrives late. Takes one look and says thats a crappy job and needs redone. And goes away. Phone customer services AGAIN to schedule the re-replacement. Another two weeks. It still rains, the car still gets wet. The parking attendants still give me tickets. The second replacement, the day before 5pm, have heard nothing. Phone customer support. Told that yes it is tomorrow and will be text'd a time. Fitter arrives 1hr late. Given tea and biscuits, gets to work. 90 minutes later, the glass is in. Square at least. Scuttle not sitting perfectly. Seal round the screen nothing like as neat as the "factory" result before (and that I had paid for). Trim still scratched. Invoice arrives in the post. They had over-charged the card. Phone Customer Support. Again. They say oh yes, we have overcharged you. Request a refund. Told that it will be run next day. Two weeks later (the most a bank could take on an incoming payment), still nothing. Phone customer support. The refund has been "requested" and the accounting team has done nothing about it. The saga goes on. I am shocked that such a dis-functional, poorly performing business exists in the UK today.

10 days ago my car was broken into - usual unfortunate stuff. Called my insurer who assign all glass related items to AutoWindscreens. It is an american vehicle, so a bit of a pain for parts, I checked on progress with AutoWindscreens and they said they couldn't locate the glass. After about 10 calls I tracked down one which they should have been able to themselves, but no matter - I was more incentivised than they were I guess. That was 8 days ago and they still have not ordered the glass - systems - procedures. Said I had to have an appointment for them to order the glass - and what happened in the end - they ordered the glass without an appointment. So I will end up with no car for 3 weeks - no courtesy car - lots of sorry's, . Avoid - the only thing they did efficiently was take my £70 surplus charge.!

***AVOID AT ALL COSTS*** The seals around my windscreen failed within a day of my new windscreen being fitted. I was then informed by auto glass that this is a 'very common' issue and that the seals are in fact 'cosmetic' and are of no concern - not very professional or reassuring. Then I was made to wait over a week to have his issue rectified receiving a less than helpful tone over the phone. To add to this, on further inspection of the 'cosmetic seals' I found the cuts and finish looked like it had been done by a 5 year old. Massive gap in each corner, no care taken with the preexisting trim. All round very poor service.

Electrical fault to my wife's car, due to poo fitting of windscreen. Seal not correctly applied, leading to water leak through to the control box. Company refuses to accept liability, although VW has provided proof of the root cause and the poor job Auto Windscreens have done.

I had a repair to my windscreen some time ago, it lasted approx 6 months. I contacted auto glass who came out and did a 2nd repair. This has now failed. I called auto glass who informed me that I was entitled to a new windscreen as it was a 3rd fail. They came and informed me they would not fit the windscreen as the fail is not bad enough!! They told me it needed to be cracked! Why? it was a stone chip on the 1st 2 occasions so why now does it need to crack! I have a large stone chip in my window so much so people approach my vehicle and say that needs doing its so bad! I complained to auto glass and now they want to charge me £75 and think this is the answer to my complaint.

Fitted screen incorrectly, damaged rear view mirror and cracked airbox whilst fitted screen. Had to wait 3 months for 2nd replacement screen to be fitted. 10 months later, screen has cracked from the edge, due to poor fitting. An absolute shambles!

Arranged for a windscreen to be replaced via an insurance claim to a Mercedes Sprinter. They did what they said they would do, so no arguments there. 2-3 weeks later the windscreen cracked from the centre bottom, protected by the bonnet, and across, about 200mm up. Informed them and they arranged for the screen to be replaced under warranty. Fitter arrives to do the job and refuses as he claims there is impact damage and leaves. Photo's taken and company contacted again. Spoke to Craig Shipley in the call centre, went through the issue and offered to send photo's but he had his own and agreed that there was no impact damage and the screen would be replaced. Fitter arrives and refuses to do the work. Craig Shipley contacted, whose attitude has totally changed, and he refuses to do the work. Complaint logged with company and a response was made from them, leaving a message, from an unknown and un named male, who informed me that they would not be replacing the screen, but more than happy to charge me again for it. Typical negative response from a huge company, whose attitude developed into one of no interest, refusing to accept any form of liability for faulty goods and making claims that they have not offered to substantiate. Now I am left with a van which will fail it's MOT tomorrow due to the unprofessionalism of Auto windscreen personnel. I have had no opportunity to try to resolve it with them because they simply refuse liability, that's it, end of story. Waste of time and effort.
