Unfortunately you can't score 0. Advised by an "Elite Technician" that the windscreen was repairable. Booked for a repair, during phonecall I asked what would happen if the windscreen wasn't repairable/unsuccessful, the bloke in the call centre skirted around the issue. A different technician came out, and to be fair to him he was great, but there was only any mention that it wouldn't be guaranteed after the work had been carried out. The technician felt so bad about this he actually called his manager to see if anything could be arranged, unfortunately by this time they had already taken a card payment over the phone. The repair lasted less than 48 hours, when the crack grew massively. Called to explain the situation and was advised that we would receive a full refund, then received a phone call explaining that they had made a mistake and we would get a refund if we took out a screen replacement through our insurance, unfortunately auto windscreens aren't an improved installer (can't think why 🤔 🤔) and therefore it will cost us more to replace the screen. We were then informed we'd get a partial refund, only to be told that we wouldn't get a refund at allnunless we had a replacement windscreen through Auto windscreens. Informed by a lady in customer services that someone would call us back and not to do anything, after 24 hours I then called as we still couldn't use the car. We were then told that we should have been informed of been informed that the work wasn't guaranteed when we booked the initial repair (we asked, it was skirted around. Eventually a manager called back to say he was happy with the service provided as its only "to extend the life of the windscreen" and again would only offer a refund if further work was carried out through them, not a chance on this level of customer service. Absolutely appalling customer service to claim they feel 48 hours is a reasonable amount of time for a repair to last, but will happily offer a refund if we have a new windscreen fitted through them.

Andy, technician from covenrty branch, visited me today to replace a rear window that had shattered. I can honestly say from start to finish he was very proffessional, his communication was great, rang me to give an ETA, he made me feel like a priority and valued customer. Top man - easy choice of 10 out 10.

Had my windscreen replaced via my insurance by Auto windscreens in Leeds. Job was done quickly but the near side window trim wasn’t refitted correctly and it subsequently fell off in transit about a month later. I returned to auto windscreens in an attempt to resolve the matter but the manager was adamant that there was no liability upon their part and insisted that the screen fitters work was infallible and there was no way that he wouldn’t have re- fitted the trim incorrectly. He suggested it had been stolen! I however can not accept this explanation and total lack of ownership of the issue from the branch manager. So I needed up with a bill of £30 for a new trim on top of the £75 excess to pay. Maybe if they took a little more time and care issues such as this may not arise.

Dishonest company My windscreen was replaced with a non genuine one They say it's my fault for not requesting a original part specifically.  I was not told it would be generic brand. I was not told I had a option. As none of these options was explained to me.  They are trying to blame me. I am being passed to and from agents. I have already paid my excess plus a whopping £180 to have my cameras recalibrate (ADAS) Which has caused a fault with my collision assist software. I am being asked to pay again. Which is unreasonable. They have failed to calibrate my ADAS. A genuine honest company working with a standard of professionalism and a little bit moral values with take ownership of this. As a result the value of my car has been impacted. I cant drive my car with collision assist on as it suddenly emergency stops the vehicle when driving. So I had to turn it off. They are now trying to hide being their T&Cs I have raised a complaint to see what they will do about this mess up which has nothing to with me but has everything to do with autowindscreen cost cutting and saving a few quid. Next step will be the financial ombudsman

Auto Windscreens cancelled my scheduled appointment Mid Feb because the windscreen hadn’t arrived. They couldn’t offer me another appointment prior to my business trip. I told them it had to be done on 16 March and no later because MOT is due and I have meeting from 17th onwards. They promised me that it would be replaced on the morning of 16th March. I received a link with the date and it had been pushed out again to 17th March, which they knew wasn’t convenient. I called customer services and the reading brach. The glass wasn’t ordered until Friday 13th March, and there is no way the windscreen can be replaced on 16th. The company is a joke. Please please do not use them. Awful. Customer service will not help you. Reading auto windscreen do not care, appointment system is totally inept and just a general lack of customer focus or satisfaction. It’s now 12:40 on 16 March and I have no idea when my windscreen will be replaced. Car will fail MOT, and yet, I have tried to sort the windscreen out 6 weeks prior to MOT.

And there you go, another bad review for Auto windscreen for which i am not surprised reading the other reviews, wish I had read this before using them. My car was book in, and all was fine until the engineer who did the job could not make the rain sensor work properly, so a senior engineer later came and could not fix it either. he came back a week later and still could not fix it. 3 month later after calling their customer service twice to complain they had another go to fix it with another method to no avail. The engineer told me that the car had to be re calibrated for which I was not happy as I am a design engineer in automotive and know how this work. he even was on the verge of losing his rag. Car was working fine before and if they used the appropriate replacement part it would work fine but they wouldn't listen, they even tried to say that my car was faulty and the rain sensor need changing which I know his not true. But instead of finding and fixing the route cause of the problem they wanted to bogged it and recalibrate the sensor so, I took it on myself to take the car out of their hands and called their customer service once again and my insurance as well to let them know that the service provided by their supplier is poor, very poor. They tried to call me back and because I lost complete trust in their engineers, I have refused them to touch my car again just in case they I have now ordered the correct part and replaced it myself and everything is back to normal and rain sensor works as it should. They are liars and treat customer in a bad manner. They should start by listening. It’s not because you can change a windscreen (even badly) that you understand how electronics work on a car.

If I could give no stars I would! TERRIBLE COMPANY, DON'T USE THEM! After having a windscreen break on our campervan we claimed through our insurance company and had to have a technician from this company come out. He was a lot later than his appointment, no apology. From the off, he was RUDE and just seemed to have a problem being here. He asked for the keys to check electrics which he didnt explain why, when he was replacing a windscreen! He made it clear he wanted to be left alone to do the job, so my husband came in but watched him then proceed to push/punch out with fair force the window ALL OVER OUR GRAVEL DRIVEWAY! We had masked up the window previous to them coming, to prevent glass going everywhere and it was all neat. This action made sure the glass got EVERYWHERE! A huge expanse of our drive was covered in glass. (My 2 1/2 year old plays on this secure drive) when asked what are you going to do about the glass after, he reassured us he would Hoover it all up and tidy up. He carried on his work with a face like thunder and staring out my husband thru a window, whilst my husband called his insurance company to complain. The technician never reached down to tidy up outside the van, and hoovered most of it up in the van(he didnt do a good job in there)finished his work, we let him out of our driveway and we went to look at the glass left. He had DECEITFULLY COVERED OVER ALL THE GLASS BY BURYING IT WITH OTHER STONES! Not attempted to pick up any. When talking to their supervisor the next day, it was clear he had LIED to his supervisor saying he'd asked to move the van to a different spot. HE NEVER! We would have happily moved it, that would have been no problem at all. His supervisor clearly believed him and there was NO ATTEMPT at coming to tidy the glass up he had left. His supervisor didnt take our complaint seriously as by the looks of these reviews it's a common practise from their company to treat their customers like this. We have took photos and are pursuing this with our INSURANCE company. MY HUSBAND TRIED TO TIDY UP, AND ITS IMPOSSIBLE TO REMOVE ALL THE GLASS FROM THE STONE! We will have to remove a huge chunk of our driveway gravel to get rid of this for the safety of our son, and our car and bike tyres. AWFUL AWFUL COMPANY...DO NOT USE! REFUSE THEM FROM YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY. BOYCOTT THEM. (We believe it was the Romford branch who dealt with us but cant be sure, and tbh they all seem to have a similar practise!) (The photos do not do this justice, as it doesnt show the spread further out around drive too)

Called my Insurance Company late on Friday night to report a smashed side window, was put through to Auto Windscreens who took all the details and would then contact me on Saturday with details of an appointment. As promised received a message on Saturday confirming the appointment for the Tuesday and a time slot. Updated on Monday evening again to confirm and then received a call Tuesday morning from the Technician to confirm his ETA, Called again when en-route and arrived, carried out the job perfectly, vacuumed the glass from inside the door and completed the job in around 1 hour making sure i was happy with the new window and the job - Seamless and really happy with the end result.. Good communications throughout and happy with the service - Thank you :)

Technician arrived within given timeslot and rang before hand to let me know what time he would arrive. He completed the job (a stone chip) in about 15 minutes and said it's still there but it won't spread now. I looked at it, mark's left from equipment which I had to scrub off, chip looks possibly worse than it did. 2 stars for the communication, but that's it. If I hadn't of known he had completed the job, i would assume I'm still waiting for him!!

I took my car to the York Hub to have the windscreen replaced and the electronics recalibrated. Staff at Auto Windscreens kept me informed by text from first contacting them up to completing the work. On arrival to collect the car I was asked if I knew about a rattle! I immediately test drove the car and noticed the creak emanating from the front offside trim covering the A post. On returning the technician removed the trim and investigated. He also explained the screen would move until the sealant had cured. I took the car out again and the creak had gone. The technician remained polite and helpful throughout and returned the car in a clean condition. The windscreen had been replaced to a very high standard every gap was even and uniform. The customer service was excellent.

Turned up half an hour late to fit my back windscreen. Got it out of his van and it was scratched to bits. He said it was so bad that he wouldn’t even offer it to me (not that I’d want it) then had to wait another 9 days for the next slot. Total of 20 days I will have to wait for a new back screen. No idea why insurers use these, useless.

The worst company ever, management useless. Avoid at all costs, they first installed wrong screen at first, then damaged my work pass, had me home bound due to faulty screen installed with wires hanging of my car ceiling, rear view mirrors dislodged, wipers left unconnected. Made me loose out on an income I was counting on to pay my bills, when asked for compensation they absolutely disregarded it, offered an amount which I could have earnt myself many folds had I been able to work. Referred them already to trading standards, to bbc rogue traders, and will be serving them with a legal notice too to recover my costs and loss of income. Avoid them, don’t even touch em with a barge pole as they will ruin it for you.
