Due to a car being sold in Jan 2019, my policy was cancelled, however they still removed monthly payments from my account. I contacted them for a refund and the conversation was left at the matter being looked into. Out of the blue I received a letter/bill for a cancellation fee? This had not been discussed in the phone conversation, although they claimed I had hung up before getting a chance to talk about it.. I did not hang up. Anyway a letter arrived to offer me a reduced settlement. Ok I thought, I'm too busy to give this company anymore airplay, just pay it. I then phoned armed with debit card and was told I had to pay via their online portal. Ok I can do that and on I went. I was then prompted to requested a password reset. Ok I did that. No reply. So I requested a password reset again, this time taking a date stamped screen dump to ensure I had proof that I had attempted to settle. Still nothing received back. A third attempt, screen dump etc. Still nothing. I have now received a threatening letter from a third party debt collector for the full amount. I contacted Autonet, who have now washed their hands of the whole matter, including the money they owe me.

I was charged £170 for 4 weeks insurance which I tried to cancel. Awful service would never use again

I took out insurance with this company mainly because they were local. After speaking to them on the phone 5 times over a previous ( non fault claim ) and arranging a call back from them ( they did not call back ) They cancelled my insurance while my wife was out at work. And there "admin charges" are unbelievable .

Worst service, been on the phone over an hour spoke to 4 different people just to change a car, they quoted double that of everyone’s else I would avoid them at all costs

I would never purchase car Insurance with this company again having taken out a car insurance with this company 4 weeks ago I decided to change my car. I looked up on confused .com and got a new quote for my new car £267.00 so I called Autonet to get a price on the policy I had to change the car which I had Paid £289.00 for they gave me a price of £450.00 so I said I will cancel the policy and they said that would be £168.00 after 90mins on the phone the underwriters who said they could maybe help with a cheaper price came up with a discounted rate of £750.00 so I am tied to paying £450.00 but will never recommend or use them again

Awful customer service!!! Would never recommend! Needed to change my van insurance over and was hung up on twice. The last time the girl clearly didn’t want to be on the phone to me and being a Friday night wanted to rush home and hung up on me!!!!!!!! Then I couldn’t get back through, just brought a new van and had to drive it back two hours!!! Took over two hours for me to get nothing sorted. I then had to pay out more money to get a days insurance!! So disappointed and would not recommend using this company Especially as I have multiple vans on the road that need insurance!!!

Disgrace of a company, filled out details on Compare the Market. They took on my insurance then charged me to cancel it. Wasted days on the phone back and forward trying to resolve this and they just kept moving the goal posts. Avoid at all cost. I would like to give -10 stars

Incompetent and unreliable insurance broker. This broker failed to pass the correct details of my insured vehicle to the insurance company. A claim I made was initially rejected by the insurance company and my policy was voided. This came as a direct result of the incompetence of Autonet Insurance services not correctly recording my insurance requirements. I would give them no stars if I could. If you don’t want the risk of problems with your insurance policy don’t use this company.

I got a quote from Moneysupermarket and Autonet Ins were the cheapest. When I went to get the quote the following day the price had increased so I called their sales team. Number obtained from their website. Only to be charged perium rate. Never warned or advised. Sales advisor kept placing the call on hold for everything they had to do. I only found out of the excessive charge when I got a text from my service provider. Autonet ins automatically increased my price without checking with me first. Then charged me cancellation fee to cancel my insurance. Luckily I found another insurer whose premium still worked out cheaper eve after adding autonet cancellation charge and call rates.

Given 14 days to send further details of ourselves Only to receive a cancellation notice 2days later which added that we now have 7 days??? Very misleading!! We are in our early sixties,clean licenses,no endorsement Now required to send sooooo many details online to them after having to log on with Gov department etc WORST Nobody answers the phone!!! Last call was waiting 14 minutes And far too many buttons to press around about15 options Wasted 30 plus minutes of my life !! Eventually got thru on a number found /recommended on this site Nice enough young lady But!!! Put on hold for far too long again I assume they heard as I started shouting hello hello!! She then answered and said she would need more time!!!!!!! I suggested that I would like her to contact me via our two mobile numbers or our e/mail which they hold on our file Let’s see???? Terrible Service up to now!

took out contents/bricks&mortar insurance at a cost of 93.82p for 12month policy. had to cancel one month later due to move and was charged 65 pounds for cancellation. I have no doubt this will be explained in the 'small print' but still seriously excessive. PLEASE BE AWARE OF THEIR CANCELLATION POLICY AND FEES before you use this company!!!

Got a great quote which I then paid in full. After this they then contacted me asking for over £100 more due to a previous claim. I phoned my previous insurer who confirmed I wasn't involved in any claims and communicated with autonet. After days of phone calls back and forth I decided it was not worth the hassle and used my right to cancel my policy in the cooling off period. I was then charged a £50 admin fee! £50! also any refund from original transaction would take 7-10 working days to deposit in my bank account.

Ripp off scammers stay well clear , charge extras as they wish and make a notification info as a claim so as to charge you more

Avoid!! Will try and squeeze every last penny out of you, when you try and cancel the policy after one day they want to charge you £59!! Disgraceful! Avoid!

By far the worst insurance company I have dealt with. Beware of the excessive charges to Ammend or cancel a policy.

Rang today (14/03/19) to add my 24 yr old daughter to my policy so she can learn to drive but was point blankly refused as shes only on a provisional licence. How utterly stupid, if you cant afford to pay a driving school how else is she supposed to learn. Will NOT be renewing and wont recommend

As such, we have looked into this for you. As Autonet are an insurance broker, we work with various underwriters who have different rating factors which affect the prices they are able to offer and the risks they choose to cover. In this case, the underwriter that you were placed with did not provide cover for provisional drivers. From looking at the notes on file, I can see our agent offered you our cancel and replace option to see if we could place you with an underwriter who would accept a provisional license. Total Scammers, they DO NOT Honour their cash back offers on Topcashback. After a 9 month wait they responded to Topcashback saying no record of sale. So they are Liars or the £52.21 they took when I purchased my home Insurance was fraudulent. AVOID use an honest Insurance Company
