They & their partners are a bunch of idiots who do not know how to do business and no sense of urgency. I have being using them for sometime but recently they have become worthless, holding money for week, asking for the same proof on one transaction again and again. Its just a was of time so if you are looking for a good service which is accurate than stay away from these guys. There partners dont listen to their customer services, there is no channel of escalation.

Terrible company. Worse than useless. I tried to send approx £7,500 to a business account in the Philippines. Azimo took my money and held it for a week. They didn't transfer it to the recipient. After a week I got a curt email saying they are cancelling the payment and will refund my money which will take another 5 working days to process. They didnt provide an explanation or an apology. So they would have held my money for 2 weeks by the time I get it back. When I first asked what the delay was they said they needed the recipients address, said it was a legal requirement. If this is a legal requirement then why didn't they ask for this information at the start? So I provided them with this information. They still didn't transfer the money. When I asked again they said they needed me prove my source of funds, explain the purpose of the funds and prove the purpose of the funds. They also attached a large form for me to the email with no reference to the attachment in the email they sent me. They said this was a legal requirement too. The payment is for a wedding so I sent them my bank account statements and the wedding contract. They still didn't transfer the money. When I asked what the delay was for the third time the just responded saying they were going to refund the payment with no explanation or apology. I have sent international payments before and have never experienced anything like this before. Will delete the App. Why did they send me this big form for me to fill in asking me for lots of personal information? Is Fraud their agenda?

FRAUD About 10 days ago I sent £75 to Turkey, recipient states has not received the money, I checked with website and saw transfer was cancelled stating they have not received payment, Azimo provided a strange account number in Natwest made only by 0 stating this is for the convenience of customers, they caused not only inconvenience but also did not send the money despite receiving the payment. 10 days passed and non of the Azimo members contacted that the money I have transferred to their account, what is supposed to happen, they just kept the money and quiet. till I checked myself. The point is why they have the money in their account and keeping quiet?? somebody in another country desperately waiting for help and these people keep quiet and the money. This was my first transaction and of course the last one. I would not even give one star. FRADULENT company

Disgusting service, asking very intimate questions. And then refuse to send money and block your account so you cant complain. I was promised a call from the manager and never got one. They give a poor exchange rate a tell you it's a set rate, yet Ex give a much better rate, They hang up on you and pretend to be sympathetic. They should be ashamed of themselves. Please do not use this company if you value your money. I provided every document they asked for, even when the questions were intrusive. Ans at the end I lost the property I and my 4 months pregnant wife wanted to rent to live in all because of their lies, we now have to check into a hotel. Azimo blocked me without refunding my money back so I wont be able to contact them, I opened another account and called asking for my refund till now I haven't gotten my refund back and Azimo is still lying to me...  PLEASE DO NOT USE AZIMO THERE'RE BETTER MONEY TRANSFER COMPANIES OUT THERE.

STAY Well AWAY from Azimo Co.This was a very harrowing and distressful process trying to send urgent funds to my wife abroad. She never received it.She was back and forth so many times to the pick up agent with her Azimo code. Then Azimo asked me for her DOB, place of birth. Why? They use vague words like "usually arrives"or standard stalling tactics i.e further "ID requirements. proof of funds. etc etc etc ad infinitum After 10 polite reasonable messages to them they blocked my account. then told me my money was frozen and more worrying they have my passport id, bank details, D card details and security number. Check out their company directors.

Very disapointed with the entire process they have bad commiunication and they system does not work properly. Rates are not the best they could offer as well. I had days being wasted by their team which should have been avaoid by giving clear instructions. I am very concern whether the private information we provide to them are confidential at all became they ask you to send your bank statements and all financial details to geneal emails and via chat and when we request that whether we remove the full account number on the evidence they refuse to accept. I would not recommend any one to use them. the information is NOT confidential

I had have bad experience with Azimo. I send money 30th December to my Philippine bank account and it’s say will arrive the same day and days passed the money has nowhere to be found. It’s 3rd of January but they kept on promising that money will be in my bank tomorrow. Tomorrow tomorrow tomorrow but nothing. They were quick to take the money from my bank but they were so slow to send the money to the receiver’s account. Up to now the kept on saying it’s on it’s way blah blah blah. It’s very unreliable and incompetent service. I’m not really sure if I will ever see my money in my Philippine account.

Have been using Azimo for nearly 5 years & they've been decent... Until i realised that like most companies, the longer you're the customer, the worse they treat you. Fee: From free, to £1 and now each transaction is £1.50 each. Rates: Their rates are awful; new customers get better rates...why? New customers: £1000 = N477,410.9 Old customers: £1000 = N468,674.28 (Rates were checked at the same time - 15/12/19 08:40) Nearly 9k difference + the £1.50 fee. Use a few times & move on!!!

Horrible service, quick to take funds and say the fund will be transfered in 3 hours. 3 days later and 2 emails later, funds still haven't arrived and transaction was procesing. After contacting the live chat i was told that : Our Compliance team asks if you've ever met the recipient in person and if you could provide us a proof of identity of recipient (picture of passport or national id for example)?. jumping through loops. after telling them that that is not common practice in the remitance world and it is suspect to be asked for documents of other people than myself i have been told : (09:38:34 AM) Mateusz P: I don't know what other companies do or what they don't. We have many satisfied clients. Feel free to escalate case with the FCA (09:38:41 AM) Mateusz P: Your transfer is already cancelled

BE WARNED.. I have been using Azimo for last 4 years when they were new and tge service was good from time to time but as time went by their service of sending funds and customer services has gone down the drain. At occasions their rates are very deceiving by showing one rate than a lower rate, very disappointing also their fee went up too. This time i sent about £30 to a bank account including fees which is a very small amount they've collected my fund's straight away and gave reference too but few hours later i was sent email asking for proof of fund's documents..? As they have all my details already. I rang the customer support and spoke with a representative. Guess what they wanted either my bank statements or payslips for proof of fund's.. wow 😱 £30..shocking. "did i apply for a loan..?" Under no circumstances i will give all my official documents for them to scam everything in my name if they go bust they can use all my documents to easily get loans out specially they are just a money exchange agency. Cutting the story short they cancelled my transaction of £30 to a bank account in Bangladesh which I've sent money before in similar amounts for either education or charity donations for the poor. P.S. forgot to mention never do mobile credit to anyone as the rates are almost half the normal transfer rates. Will never be using Azimo again..🤬 AVOID IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE SCAMMED FINANCIALLY IN THE FUTURE..

I sent money to Cairo yesterday for instant collection up till now my partner couldn’t collect First the address for collection was giving wrong , secondly no one from the bank new anything about the source or Azimo after she is going 3 different branches around the whole city only one employee knew about it but he said we have got terrible with them people for the last 3 days and we can’t see your money so they advised my partner to go home and wait for a phone call Terrible service , very dishonest , extremely disappointed specially she needed this money urgently. When I tried to contact them from my end Azimo said we will contact our partners in egypt and they will contact the recipient within 48 hours so we will need to wait even more and god knows what is going to happen . Lost trust once they deal with my issues I will never use them again .

Azimo blocked my two last transfers to my fiancé in the Philippines. I tried again, same result. I called my bank and they said that the problem was coming from Azimo. Then I emailed the customer service. They finally answered that I couldn't send anymore money to this recipient for legal reasons… I asked what were these reasons and they blocked my account without other explanation!

i cancel a transfer and it took ages for refunds. think carefully before you use the service. they are not as competitively priced as transferwise and currencies direct and if you hit a problem you don't get your refund for five days which is shocking! Also it is impossible to find a number to call them.

AZIMO ! AZIMO !! AZIMO !!!, they used to be good years back but they are now rich and their transfer rate is terrible, Transferwise is a better option for people sending money to Nigeria. Azimo blocked my account and refused to allow me to send money with there services because they think they are smarter than Nigerians. They show you a certain amount of money and deliver a lower rate to the receiver. I found this out because I was curious of some Naira missing in each transaction. After I reported this, they decided to block me from sending money. Azimo can be classified as professional criminals, Stay away from them or research yourself and believe.

AVOID AT ALL COST!!! It took 3 weeks to try to get money to South Africa. I then cancelled the deal. I have not received my refund and they insist that the money has been paid and that I am lying about cancelling it when their SA payer has not done is job. I sent it, yes at a cost via my bank, but in 5 hours. It is now more that 4 weeks since I first tried to send the money. They are incompetent and a waste of time and effort. I do not even give them one star.
