“Hopeful that it's just a misunderstanding and not deliberately deceitful but had "extras" charged to credit card without telling us. First attempt at resolution went badly so will try again (pretty sure they aren't deliberately scamming us but has definitely crossed my mind).... even if not actively criminal it's been incredibly time consuming and their attitude has varied from dismissive to actively aggressive.....would've been better off booking direct.”

“Just returned from a fabulous trip to Singapore, Hong Kong & Dubai booked through the lovely Ged Lewis in Newcastle upon Tyne. The hotels he recommended were first class, in excellent locations & with great service. The price of the holiday was fantastic, especially as Ged put it together for our specific requirements. I am now a regular Barrhead customer & wouldn't think of entrusting my precious holidays to anyone else but Ged.”

“I booked a 3 day Jersey break. I have since looked at the most expensive flights and nights in hotel and was horrified at what I was charged. Never again!!”

“We booked with Billy Mitchell at the Dundee Office. He was so pleasant, helpful and efficient it made booking the holiday easy. Nothing was too much trouble for him.”

“I use the cruise dept of Barrhead every year. Always totally efficient and reliable, nothing too much trouble. Their cruise page on their website is also easy to use and provides all the information needed.”

“The process was very confused as the original agent we spoke to had to leave in the middle of the process and the person that took over gave us completely different information. Completed the booking and I then was emailed two different sets of seat numbers for the flights by Tui. Rang Barrhead to confirm which were correct and the numbers they gave me were not those on the paperwork they had sent. Emailed to ask for a new document to be sent showing the correct numbers but have not received anything. Very, Seth poor service!”

“Conor from the Belfast Victoria Square branch was extremely efficient and helpful in booking our perfect holiday. He went above and beyond to get us an unbelievable price, all while being friendly, chatty and made the whole experience personal. He even rang to check up later that evening that we were 100% happy and had recieved our confirmation email. Great service, and I will definitely be booking through this agent from now on!!”

“What initially seemed like good service sadly turned out to be a sales pitch of an overpriced holiday. Our advice would be to price check against booking direct before you commit in store. Also it appears that Section 75 credit card cover is not available if you book with anyone other than the tour operator. We were also advised that the balance would be due by the 15 of next month (April) when in fact it is due in March 10 days after booking this holiday. Sad that what should be a pleasant experience has been soured. We always try to support smaller businesses but it has to make financial sense to do so, in this case it did not. *Save money and book direct!”

“We booked our holiday in the store at fort kinnaird Edinburgh and Natasha the girl who sold us our holiday could not have done enough for us. After booking our holiday we had to go back and make some changes to it. Nothing was a bother and she got everything sorted for us.”

“We were welcomed into the shop, our proposals listened to and then your agent searched for and found the perfect holiday for us in a resort which appears to be exactly what we want. The whole process was efficient without making us feel we were being rushed into a decision and your staff were friendly, approachable and competent.”
