To be brutally honest if I could give NO Stars I would. So far we have received THREE Confirmation Details of our holiday and so far they have got the details wrong 1. Cabin number on the ship 2. Board basis 3. Hotel details ( 9 nights or 1 nights ) 4. Flight Details ( seats ) COST?????? IF WE HAD BOOKED THE HOLIDAY BY OURSELVES IT WOULD HAVE BEEN OVER 800 POUND CHEAPER HAVE ASKED FOR A BREAKDOWN NO RESPONSE NOTHING HAS BEEN RESOLVED!!!

Awful. They booked a return flight for me to Thailand. At the time I told them it was highly likely I would change the return date. They told me it would cost 100 pounds and would be no problem. I agreed. Then when the time came to change it I wrote to Barrhead and did not receive a reply for three days. Their reply said it would cost 640 pounds. I went to a local German owned agent in Thailand who advised me that the the airline had been contacted on my behalf and that since there was a delay on the original flight the cost would be free and their charges were 15 pounds to make the change.(!) I wrote back to Barrhead travel who advised me they don't contact the airlines. what? A travel agent that doesn't contact airlines? really? and they also lied about the 100 pounds charge. They could learn a lot from other professional agents in Thailand who bend over backwards to help their customers. If this happens to you get everything in writing, and don't trust them. They are useless and have no idea about customer support and don't care as long as they have your money. AVOID.

Recently booked a holiday with barrhead, my parents both passed fairly recently and now I have a little more money to maybe take kids away for a good holiday. Unfortunately a short time before we were meant to fly out, my 12yo sons lung collapsed and after a further look from consultants they told us by no means are we able to fly. So what do barrhead travel do to loyal customers who have booked previous 4 holidays with them? Not offer us a different date to change holiday and tell us we're not getting our money back. Which is just under £5000. Just took it because they'd obviously been put out by their efforts of getting us a hotel room and seat on a flight that is going to be filled by someonelse anyway. Im absolutely saddened, disgusted, angry and shocked. If this is a company that everyone is happy to trust, use and give money to, I strongly suggest you reconsider, I swore by them aswell until I needed their help and they just shut the door and kept my money.

I recently got married, and a really kind friend got us a £100 travel voucher for Barrhead. We were delighted, but when we tried to us it, we quickly realised the voucher system is a SCAM! We tried to book a hotel with it on the website, but unfortunately the website does not accept vouchers. So any price you see online is not applicable to a voucher. We then went into a local shopping centre within a Barrhead. The customer service desk at the shopping centre told us that Barrhead have staffing issues, so sometimes they open and sometimes they don't!! When we tried to book a hotel over the phone we were told it is not valid to book a hotel, it has to be a package. Barrhead offer excursions. As we are going on honeymoon (through another provider) this year, we asked if we could use the voucher for an excursion. That's not possible with a voucher. We then tried to book a city break with it. Booking through the phone was around £100 more expensive than booking online. Seemed fishy. When I asked if they could price match the online price, they said price matches with the voucher weren't possible! They then stopped replying to emails. We then thought we should give the voucher to a friend who has use for it, as they have already booked a holiday with Barrhead. But unfortunately you can't put a voucher towards a holiday already booked. You also have to use it within 6 months, on a holiday you take within the year. So we can't even hold onto it. PLEASE, PLEASE do not gift this voucher. It is plain theft.

Cancelled my holiday to Tenerife due to health getting worse, I paid £900 I am due £780 back. I called on the 9th May 2023 to ask about getting my money back, I was told someone would call me back, they didn't. I called back I was told I would get someone contact me for my bank details, they didn't. On the 3rd time calling this company on the 9th May a lady took my bank details, she told me if I didn't get my refund by the next Tuesday 23/05/2023 I would definitely get it in my bank by 30/05/2023. So when there was no money in my account by 30/05/2023 I called the Brahead branch for the 4th time to ask to speak to Angela the manager who was very hard to get hold of until I contacted their head office. Angela apologised and assured me firstly I would get my money on the Friday at the beginning of the call by the end said I would get my money by Tuesday the 6th June that she was away on holiday but if I needed help I can talk to someone that will just tell me more lies,it is the 6th June my money is still not in my bank myself and family and friends would not go near this travel agent again that is a lot of custom to lose, very unprofessional.

I cancelled my holiday at the beginning of May I was told someone would call me back to get bank details, I had to contact them,again and again 3 times to get my bank details to refund my money told definitely be in on the 23rd if not that Tuesday 100% next Tuesday as it's always a Tuesday refunds are paid,liars I still have not received my £780 I called today and Angela the manager will call me back as she is busy the now I don't believe anything that comes out their mouths. I will stay well clear of these criminals definitely would not recommend.

Left stranded at Vianna Airport - transfer did not turn up! Terrible customer service - no clear lines of communication. Eventually got a refund after contacted their " Company President" direct. Never going to use them again!

ABSOLUTELY HORRID. Terrible customer service and no where near professionalism. Never have I ever went through so much negative emotions while planning and going on what was supposed to be a happy, relaxing family holiday. They did not do their job properly and provided me with misinformation. It results in us having the most stressful experience at the airport. When we reached out to them, not only they did not help, but instead they brushed off all responsibilities and even went as far as lying to get themselves out of trouble. I clearly asked them so many times to check the information for me and they confirmed everything is clear and I dont need to do anything (I provided all documents they asked from me). I paid for a holiday and all I got back is stress, anger and upset children. The most absurd part was when my name was not on the list on our return day but both of my children who are under 15 have their names on it so they will only let my children get on the coach and insist I sort myself out. How does that make sense?! Who would let young children travel without their parents. They ruined my family long awaited holiday that wasn't even easy to arrange. If you are thinking of booking with them, you can forget it. Unless you want to get yourself into a hot mess.

Do you seriously forget how you treated punters in the pandemic! Closed doors! No refunds! Your company was a disgrace and still is I wouldn't use you if you were the last travel agents on the planet

Arrived in Rome for a holiday which was gifted to me. Private transfer didnt arrive. Contacted Barrhead Travel told to take a taxi to hotel which was 60 Euros and this would be refunded. Spoke to 3 different people and was actually told not our fault we dont drive the taxis. My return transfer was cancelled without my knowledge. I have found there customer service to be appalling at best. All paperwork provided in person to staff at Braehead and surprise surprise still awaiting a refund. I have found them to be rude and dismissive and i wouldnt recommend having any dealings with this company

Shambolic company. Barrhead travel port Glasgow. Holiday was a disaster, accommodation awful. Barrhead travel didn’t care. Been giving me the run around for months. Still not compensation. They washed their hands if all the problems. I will never use them again. Advice to anyone would Be to contact rip off Britain.

Booked a cruise great. Good price. But the after sales care is shocking I'll never book with them again. Once they have your money they not interested . Trying to speak with someone is hopeless. Waiting on calls back hopeless chasing people up not good never return calls or e mails. Told nothing about tickets etc .

AVOID AVOID AVOID They are lovely and helpful till something goes wrong. I have been chasing a refund for over £11,000 for a cruise since end of May. My phone calls and emails have been ignored Would never use them again---you have been warned

Worst travel company ever, the store at the Glasgow Fort has caused massive problems with not delivering holiday that was ordered, they try and blame the customer, they certainly don't care about customer care, as long as they have your money, will not be using again and will be taking legal action to recover costs

We found out from a third party our holiday hotel had been changed which we considered to be very important information and further more allocated to a room with a terrible view

Been waiting since the 1st of March for a refund! I have booked a further holiday with them but they couldn't transfer the money to that holiday! This is originally from a holiday that was booked in Sept 2019 that had to be rearranged, so they've had my money nearly 2 years! The money is due soon for the next holiday which I can't pay til I've been refunded! Let's see if they'll wait several months for their money?! I have rang numerous times regarding the refund & I'm still no further & now I'm being ignored! Do not use this company just book direct with a decent travel agent!

Was advised to pay outstanding amount so we could claim a refund which we did at beginning of year. Holiday got cancelled and refund was granted March. It's now nearly June and still no sign if refund only to be told it had been refunded by TUI in credit note so now they have to get it swapped over. No customer service department to speak to all complaints have to go through branch manager. What company doesn't have a customer service department

Tried to get help but was a waste of time then new CEO is as blindsided and uncaring as her predecessor took 800 pound from a disabled man got his mother to pay even though they knew her name house been removed disgusting company by the way this is for 6 says bed breakfast in the Scottish highlands be carefully not a trustworthy family orientaited company
