“Euan of Dundee Barrhead Travel made planning our trip seem effortless , we had asked for a slightly different package but then on receiving an email from Barrhead we decided to add on a cruise , Euan searched out 4 different intineraries taking into consideration our preferences. Well done .”

“We tried another travel agents to book a flight when a family member (brother), living abroad, fell seriously ill. All of my family were flying from all over the world to be by his bedside, but that travel agent's weren't able to help and directed us to Barrhead Travel at Cameron Toll. We spoke to Allison and explained the situation and our wish to arrive at our destination as close as possible to the arrival of other family members, so we could meet at the airport. Obviously, we were extremely upset and not in the 'right frame of mind' and she was brilliant. Very sympathetic and patient and did her best to give us the best options for us to pick from. Once we chose the flight, she ran through a check list to make sure we had everything (ESTA as we were flying to the USA, travel insurance and passport details) and sorted everything out and even printed off our tickets so we were able to just pitch up at the airport. Still in a 'daze', but Allison's professionalism and efforts helped in a very difficult situation - thank you, Allison!”

“Would like to thank Thomas and James at the Livingston Branch for all their help organising our flights home due to unforeseen problems on our recent cruise , As soon as we got in touch they took over and organised our re-scheduled flights and hotel stay, Thankyou again, Will def be booking our next holiday through this branch.”

“Thought I was booking the holiday of a life time a 3 centre stay in Australia from Scotland booking was made and was assured 3 times as I wanted to make sure there was no hiccups as I was travelling to the other side of the world, 1st problem Edinburgh airport when leaving the airline said barrhead travel had not organised our visas and with my wife in tears we were eventually let on the flight at a cost of £75, then our first hotel we find that their standard rooms didn't have any windows which later on barrhead travel customer service didn't think was a problem, then we turn up for an internal flight 2hrs late as the wrong time was on our itinerary after my wife in tears AGAIN we had to pay for our flights again at a cost of over £400 when I tried to phone their emergency number it was an answering machine a complete joke in this day in age, just lucky I had a credit card to cover this as we would have been stranded, our final hotel gave us a room facing a brick wall about 5ft away again barrhead travel customer services deemed OK as the stated no specified view but there was actually no view at all. Although our issues were really bad I was sure customer services would have agreed it was a nightmare and compensate me as it looked a stonewall case but be aware you will hope you don't have to contact them after a holiday as they don't no from one week to another where your case is, after numerous phone calls and letters I eventually had to get the money authorised by the manageress of barrhead travel braehead after another visit there and her comment after this was if you trust us to book another holiday with us we will give you a 5% discount Unbelievable but you guessed customer service agreed this was a good offer, well that forced me to go to ABTA and again I got £250 which I was not entirely happy with but accepted as it had taken up so much of my time since returning from my holiday, the point is of my review is to make people aware the way you are treated by barrhead travel if something goes wrong, I was a loyal customer and thought maybe my case would have been viewed more sympathetically how wrong was I”

“I had to cancel a flight due to the death of a relative. Informed them one month in advance yet they refused to refund a single cent. Frankly, I believe in Karma and look forward to something similar or worse happening to all their staff”

“We had booked a previous cruise with Barrhead Travel. I wanted to book with the same agent (Kirsty). She is friendly, efficient and happy to help, she answered all my questions effectively. I felt very confident in booking our next cruise with her. Also, the price was better than prices that other travel agents had quoted me.”
