I ordered a lovely basket for my Mam for Mother’s Day …. It’s now Mother’s Day and she still hasn’t received my gift. I’m naturally very upset but to make matters worse I’ve contacted both Ciaran Go Leon and Dpd and no one is available to help with my situation…

I ordered two hampers, one Christmas food the other hamper was a Santa present for a 3yr old. They never turned up. DPD was the delivery agent used, but despite them saying they were delivered they couldn’t be found. And it seems a fake signatory was used. With one day to Christmas I’m now looking for a plan B. We flew into Ireland yesterday so I couldn’t bring that Plan B with me, unfortunately! The hampers may have been great for the not so small amount paid but we’ll never know.

It was the first time using your company. As a result, I really wanted confirmation of delivery. The emails you sent had links to a photo as evidence, but the link wouldn’t open. I sent the email with the link to 2 other people, but they couldn’t open the photo either. After contacting your customer service 5 times, they could not provide the evidence of delivery that I needed in order to be able to use your service again. The resolution by your representative was “Sorry for the inconvenience.” I still don’t know if the basket was delivered. It is disappointing as we live far from home and we were happy to find a company that could provide such a service.

Ordered Easter items for my grandchildren and some of my order didn’t arrive. Sent 3 email and no reply, left a voice message no reply. Eventually I got a reply that the office was closed for Easter. It left one very sad child. Won’t be using them again as was let down so Badly.

Hi Brita, thank you for your feedback. We were disappointed to read this review after we explained the correct gift and box were indeed received, as per you order. You had ordered a gift from our "Thank You" section instead of a "Thinking of You" gift and not advised us in advance of the sensitive nature of the gift. The inappropriate box you refer to was the one pictured, it simply had an internal product code printed inside it. Unfortunately in this case the code was deemed "inappropriate". This code has not caused any upset with the other thousands being sent out, it was just a very unfortunate set of circumstances in this case. We have taken the feedback on board however, and would like to re-iterate that Customers are welcome to get in touch with us before placing an order so as we can advise of any changes we would recommend making. Thank you.

I ordered a gift basket for family for a funeral and they couldn’t deliver it for some reason. I contacted customer service and even gave them the neighbor’s information as back up. A week later never heard anything and followed up. They gave me a lame excuse about that it was over the holiday but I placed the order to be delivered on 12/21. The shipping says it was sent to somewhere in Cork, but there are only 300 people in the town my family is in—most were at the funeral—and if anyone in the town received it, it would have found its way to them. Customer service was useless and said it was delivered (never mind to elsewhere) so they could not refund me. I’m currently fighting the charges with my credit card and feeling awful I couldn’t show my support to my family abroad during their grieving. I would not recommend ordering from them.

Hi Liz. Very disappointed, but not surprised, to receive your review. You know perfectly well that you provided the wrong address, together with a non functioning phone number making it impossible for anyone at our end to make contact with the intended recipients. You also know that we did our best to help by communicating with the courier company as soon as you made us aware of your mistake on Friday 23rd on Friday. And that there was very little possibility of the change being able to be made, given that it was the day before Christmas Eve. You also know that the gift was delivered to a property close to the address you meant to send it to, and was retrievable. However this wasn't good enough, as your family who were visiting for the funeral, had left the country. You would rather instigate a credit card charge back, act in an incredibly rude and unprofessional way to the staff members who tried to assist you, and write a false account of your experience. Congratulations, and good luck to you in the future.

Very poor customer service. Cant say whether the hamper was nice, as it was never delivered. Handed to the wrong person. The company going back and forth to me and DPD with no clear answers amd noone takes reponsobility. Never again!yslef and colleagues who wanted to gift our sick friend are extremely disappointed with the whole experience.

Hi Marta, I am sorry that your friend did not receive the delivery. As you are aware the driver's scanner is showing that delivery was signed for by his next door neighbour, but unfortunately the neighbour has said that he refused it and handed it back to the driver. We are trying our best to rectify this unfortunate circumstance, but our concern would be that a new delivery would result in the same scenario. Thank you for your patience.

I would love to leave a review of the product but unfortunately it has not yet been delivered. A failed delivery with no instruction on redelivery, and then a refusal to hand it over at the pick up point due to a technicality means it is definitely too late to count as a mothers day gift. Very poor from DPD.

Unfortunately, I was not happy with this gift. Over-priced (€87.19) for five packets of biscuits and a cake. Also, I selected this product for its Irish references yet the first thing I see on the gift box is the word 'British'. Very disappointing.

While I have previously had great experience with your company, my recent order was a mess. I placed the order but then my boss decided to go a different route. I connected with the online chat and was told to respond to the order confirmation that I needed to cancel the order. I did that...3 times. I tried to call but no one answered the phone. I kept getting notices that the order was going to be delivered...and again I tried contacting you to cancel the order. No one responded. When the order was delivered, finally someone contacted me and said it was too hard to cancel an order. They were rude and tried getting us to pay 1/2 of the cost. I said no and they responded back with a very rude response. They pushed the charge through on my boss's credit card.

I ordered a Christmas hamper with Ciseáin Go Leor on 29 November, for delivery to Rome. I paid them €113.41 for the hamper and €59.99 for “shipping and handling”. They gave a delivery date of 3 December. On 15 December, the hamper had not arrived so I emailed them an enquiry. They did not answer. On 23 December, the hamper still had not arrived, so I emailed them again. This time, they asked me to verify the address, which I had given correctly. They said the hamper had been dispatched on 7 December (four days after it was supposed to have arrived). On 5 January, the hamper still had not arrived, so I emailed them again. They said the non-delivery was not their fault, but a delivery issue with the delivery agency they engaged. They suggested that my friend in Rome contact the delivery agency in Rome to sort it out. He did, and when the hamper finally arrived, on 10 January, he discovered that it appears the address label had been printed wrongly, despite me providing the correct address. Under consumer law my contract is with Ciseáin Go Leor Limited as the supplier of the service. Despite this, they have refused to refund even the “shipping and handling”.

The items delivered were very small for the price I paid for the hamper. It really was not a value for money gift and left my parents and myself quite disappointed as it was their Christmas present

Awful, 250 euro hamper, mostly chutneys, olives in a bag, no basket, it was a gift to someone , was so disappointed by it, embarrassed when I saw what was delivered
