“The product was fabulous but the delivery was appalling. I have never come across a more rude or unhelpful delivery service than UK Mail, and as Beer Hawk refused to use another courier, the rating must be a low one. In one week they managed to break my order twice, but instead of telling me, they waited for me to find out on the online tracker and then left it to me to reorder the package that THEY had broken, instead of doing me that courtesy. Nevermind, the delivery for my Dad only missed his birthday by a week! My advice would be to drop UK Mail completely.”

“Stock levels not joined up! Website allowed me to buy, then it turned out my beer was out of stock. From customer service response, 'We do try to hold sufficient stock of each beer, but sometimes it’s not always possible to do so...', it sounds like this is not a one off. This is poor. A modern online shop stock should be exactly aligned with warehouse stock to avoid such customer disappointment. On top of this, my account was debited 5 days ago and yet to be refunded!”

Ed, i understand your frustration - we are moving to a larger warehouse to enable us to hold large volumes of stock to stop this issue from happening. please forgive us

“Wanted to get a gift for my ale loving brother, was recommended you by a friend. I was going to pick by labels (lol) but then I saw your mixture boxes. Got a good deal on the British box, gave it to him yesterday and he said it was the best birthday gift. He had only tried two and he liked them both, and all the rest was new to him. He spent ages reading the backs and ooooin' trying to decide which to crack open. Good choice, helpful to those that know nothing about beer, very easy to order and great delivery. Will be the go to of choice for future gifts! Plus the news letter was very interesting, learnt alot”

“The web site was easy to navigate and get the beers that you wanted. There is a quite variety of beers to choose from . I was kept informed at all time of how order was doing, from start to delivery. I then had an email on day of delivery along with estimated time.”

“I ordered 2 large crates of beer which were left outside my flats building which isn't very secure one bit. These could have easily been stolen by anyone walking by on the street. I've had very little response from beer hawk after several phone conversations about this incident. Very poor customer service. Will not be recommending to family or friends”

“Ordered some Brooklyn Brewer Glasses as some of the latest imports from the Brooklyn Brewery now come in cans. Very pleased with the cost ease of ordering and the very quick delivery of the well packaged items. Would definitely order goods again from this company. Well done!”

“I received a gift certificate, for £30, rather than pay the delivery i topped it up to £50 (actually £55 by the time i submitted the order), all quite easy so far. Delivery wasn't quite so quick or straight forward, I ordered the American Ales pack and some other bits. Some of the other bits arrived, but no American ales, onto the phone, and the order was redespatched, 2 days later I had the remainder of the bits plus 2 boxes of American ale! Onto the phone, again, return or buy the excess? (bought it at a discounted rate). Good ales - liking the diversity of ales our US country cousins brew, not liking so much the service. Probably won't bother again, too much hassle.”

“Excellent service. I received a rapid response to an initial enquiry about my order and was kept informed on its progress. It arrived within 2 days rather than the stated 3, within the hour time slot provided by the courier and very well packed. Wouldn't hesitate to use Beer Hawk again.”
