DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!!! I urge people to stay away from purchasing from this company. They lie about a 40 day comfort guarantee and lure you into buying from them by repeatedly telling you that. My mattress was completely faulty and i called Benson For Beds 3 days after receiving the item to explain this. They sent out a so called 'technician' (who i believe is biased with his testing to benefit Benson's) who came out and tested the mattress. I repeatedly called them for an update and it wasn't till 3 weeks later that they told me that the technician said that the mattress is faulty due to customer misuse!!!!! We slept on the mattress for one night and it was the worst mights sleep ever! I called within 5 days of having the item so how could we have possibly misused the item?! Customer service was appalling as they refused to let me speak to a manager. My baby was crying so I asked the guy on the phone to give me a call back and he refused!!!!!!! He said he had explained everything i needed to know! I explained as i wasn't happy with the outcome and if i could please call them back, he then started shouting at me over the phone saying they wont be dealing with my complaint. I was absolutely disgusted and appalled by their behaviour! He could clearly hear my baby crying over the phone and when i asked to speak with them later on 'their terms' he told me to hang up if i had to go but they wouldn't be calling me back and wouldnt speak to me in regards to this order again. I honestly cannot believe that they are allowed to trade the way they do in 2018. I feel like watchdog or trading standards needs to expose them for scamming money from innocent people who work hard to earn their money. Please read an article from The Guardian 'Getting that uncomfortable feeling about a £700 mattress from Bensons for Beds' explaining why Bensons For Beds are professional scam artists! Take my advice and please stay away.

Everything about their customer service is appalling. Placed order 30/01/18 then found out later that my order was coming from another company (Kingstown/Consort furniture) Had I known this at the time I would never have ordered anything as this company has some of the worst reviews ever seen! Should have been delivered 12/02/18 but got a call at 6:45pm not coming. This is after waiting all day. Arrived 13/02/18 one wardrobe was faulty delivery crew said someone would come back to rectify. Nobody came or contacted me, I called Bensons and they sent Homeserve out 19/02/18. The guy who came just looked in amazement and said he could not do anything with it but would submit a report with pictures to Bensons. Never heard anything from Bensons so I rang and waited and waited probably 30 to 40 minutes I was told someone from Kingstown would come they arrived 07/03/18 could not fix problem and advised a new wardrobe required. Great at long last something happening.....yes you guessed it no new wardrobe arrived. By this time I had had enough and rang Bensons and said I wanted a refund for the wardrobe, they said OK and would arrange for Kingstown to collect it ..........Waiting over no Kingstown! Rang Bensons again saying I would have the wardrobe removed and put into storage and send them the bill!!! At last on Friday 13 April (guess what I was thinking) it happened a van arrived with real people it wasn't a dream the pile of junk was removed and eventually on 20/04/18 I actually got a refund it was over. I have looked at the number of times I called Bensons and I think it was 31 ,they seem to have some sort of "star" system when you call they tell you to use your order number followed by star 1 or 2 etc my last call to them was star 29 !!!!! I know I made calls and did not get star rating. All in all it has taken nearly 3 months to sort out a relatively simple problem, you either get a replacement or a refund "SIMPLES" NEVER NEVER buy from Bensons if things go wrong you will wait forever. The amount of times you are in a queue when you call and the wait is 30 minutes or more is unbelievable, you do have the option (sometimes) to press number 1 for a call back and SOMETIMES you actually do get a call back. They promise you the world and all you get is a grain of sand.Steer clear. It was a standing joke for a while, my wife would get home "Have you heard from Bensons today" and eventually when she came in I would automatically say "NO" before she asked the question !!!

Bought divan base and mattress set, headboard and separate mattress in October. divan base (Silent night), was not made as it was shown in store, was very poor quality, the material was thin and pulled tightly over a frame so you could see the frame sticking out of the material. 1st delvery told it was faulty, second delivery same issue plus base was soiled, told was faulty and that it was being rectified in the lab, third delivery (delivered under special care) same issue, looked into it, was promised, following contacting md's office, that bed would be redesigned but just been sent a photo as I do not want to stay in to receive another faulty bed, and it is still faulty. Reason I keep accepting to let them try again is that on their system, they have taken the managers discount from the divan and mattress set so they are saying I paid less for it than I did - in effect they are telling me I paid less for the divan and mattress set than the mattress only. I say you have to spread the discount over the whole invoice but they say they cant and will only given me a refund 20% less than they should do which I cannot buy a new bed and mattress for. This is now with the ombudsman - what an absolute farce - never buy from Bensons - very poor quality, very poor customer service - take 40 mins to answer the phone and a week to answer an email, and too expensive

I have never been so dissatisfied with a company in my entire life. I ordered two king size beds. They sent me a delivery date which I could not attend to. I called the warehouse number as indicated and was told that the next delivery date is not the next day but the day after. I put my order on hold and said please book me in for 48 hours later. To which I was transferred to another department. This other department then told me that my delivery date would be a further 11 days later. When I advised that this was unacceptable and to leave the delivery date as it was, so I could try and work a solution around it, I was advised that the beds had been off loaded off the van and it was not possible. I am talking about a space of 5 - 7 minutes. So you are telling me that within this short time of 5 - 7 minutes you have taken 2 king size beds off a van. They have received the note (that it was on hold and not cancelled I may add), walked outside to the van, with two or three people, to locate the right beds (of a van I would assume to be full of beds) and remove them from the van. Bensons for Beds are you insulting my intelligence here?? I wrote to the CEO to express how insulted and upset I was to get no response of any interest. They stick with the claim that they had physically taken those beds off the van in that short time. Well miraculous. I will be timing the men or women who are delivering the beds, when they actually turn up (one month later from my order date), how quickly they can get them off the van and into my house. I will never ever use this company again, or its other company Harvey's and I will be passing on my disappointment to every single person I meet, not to mention discussing it on social media. I strongly recommend that anyone uses a professional company for beds and home furniture as this organisation - Bensons for Beds, clearly has no interest in customer satisfaction, just the money in the bank!

Awful!! Don’t even waste your time!! My partner took a day off work (unpaid) because they said they would deliver between 12-6 then got a call in the late afternoon to say it won’t be delivered till between 6-730 so he just lost a day for nothing! Rude unprofessional staff in the Hayes branch, sold us the wrong mattess after showing them the one we wanted more then a few times and got the firmness wrong even though we told them 3/4 times. Lesson learnt.. much rather pay more and go to dreams in future.

What can I say about this company. Just disgraceful from the branch to the customer service. Bought an expensive bed for my son August 2017. There were faults from the outset. It has taken me until last week to get them resolved and involved me taking off no fewer than 9 half days off work (between waiting for deliveries and maintenance men in). The compensation they offered was £75.00. The worst company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with.

Bought a bed online in their half price sale, I though surely if I was paying £1200 full price for this it's going to be good so at half price I'm onto a winner! So wrong......The mattress within 2 weeks had two troughs exactly where we sleep with springs protruding, the divan base is cheap and poorly made and overall the quality of the bed is awful. Its easily the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept on. After speaking to customer services it was apparent they have an answer for everything and have no intention of helping you to resolve any issues just fob you off with nonsense. I've now put it down to experience and will not recommend or buy from them again.

The company Benson for beds are basically thieves… they charged me 700 pounds for a bed only to see for the bank holiday they have reduced it by 140 pounds, so I rang the shop in Tunbridge Wells and said I wanted a refund for the difference as I only bought it 6 days ago and they wont be delivering until the 17th April which is well over two weeks away, they said we cant help you, ring customer services. So after 25 minutes waiting to get through I re explained it all to this gentleman to be told this “ Did you buy online or in store? So I said in store, he said well in that case you cant have a partial refund as you can only do that if you bought online, but by buying in store you waive your rights to any price change refunds etc, so I said well in that case I will cancel the whole order, he then said that will cost you 20% restocking fee, which is also 140 quid, at this time I was spitting blood as I said but you have plenty in stock as the sales assistant checked and you are not actually delivering to me for another 18 days all you done is charged me 6 days ago and now you want to charge me another 140 quid to cancel my purchase… So basically they are fucking thieves who are dishonest they take your money then fuck ya your not having it back… Well Bensons fuck you arseholes as I am plastering this over facebook public posts and your feedback for other consumers to read, and just for good measure I am in the process of making a sign which will be very visible in the back of my car telling would be motorist behind me you are RIP OFF MERCHANTS WHO FUCK OVER THEIR CUSTOMERS well you can screw any loyalty from me as I am going to park my car outside your Tunbridge wells car park so people can read you are THIEVING WANKERS, I will get my satisfaction over discrediting your company, so if I manage to put off just a few people from buying off you over this coming weeks then it is no less than your company deserves. FACEBOOK AND TWITTER will be plagued for the next few days from me and all for what 140 quid that you ripped off from me which I didn’t deserve. BENSONS FOR BEDS ARE THIEVES……. Benson Beds Extremely professional with appropriate helpful advice when we visited the South Ruislip store. Not pushy salespeople at all. They left us to browse but stepped in when we needed help. Thank you. Excellent service.

They were very friendly on entering to shop. Advice was very good but not pushy. Because of these reasons we brought. We went to another shop to see if we could get a better offer but staff were very pushy, so went back to Bensons

this seems to be a very small number of reviews compared to trust pilot who have over 60,000 reviews. I am not saying that Bensons don't make mistakes as every large business makes mistakes. when I had an issue with them (damaged furniture) they took control and resolved it as quick as they could (in this case 4 weeks as from Germany) once everything had been sorted out the gave me some money back and some vouchers.

I am absolutely disgusted Bensons for Beds. They make a big thing about a 40 day MATTRESS exchange (I’m perfectly happy with the divan bed) but, because I accidentally put the headboard on the wrong end, they won’t exchange the mattress. Customer services are rude and unhelpful. They clearly don’t want me as a customer. I’ve ever offered to pay the 10%, the extra for a more comfortable mattress and for the damaged bed but the answer is a resounding no. Once the bed has been delivered, they couldn’t care less. I will never buy from here again and I strongly recommend that no one else buy from them either.

I currently have a dispute with Bensons Beds over a mattress that retailed for a cost £1279.99 with a 5 Year Guarantee and has had approximately 4 years use, Bensons sent a very biased FIRA technician out to prepare a report that states the bed has sunk on one side and can feel springs due to normal compression with usage and not being rotated (this is in fact untrue). The report also states the base frame slat gaps are 9.5cm which are out of Manufactures guidelines, (Benson's sold me the solid Oak bed frame that does not in fact meet "Manufacturers Guidelines" (wonder what Trading Standards make of that) I spoke to Carl Martin Senior complaints advisor at Bensons customer service (who seems to have a answer for everything) and he stated that i can only use either Home serve or Eco-master to obtain an independent report and that they will only accept a report from these company's if i am not happy, what he did not say is that i can in fact obtain a report from any Expert in this sector that provides reports acceptable to the Court. (i will be instructing my own Bed Expert to prepare a report should the matter proceed to Court) Carl then went on to state i had bought a show room model that only has "One Year Guarantee" and they sent the FIRA tech as a Good will gesture! Bensons have in fact fabricated a copy invoice to state (showroom model One Year Guarantee) despite the fact i have a copy of the original receipt to put before the Court together with evidence of the Five Year Guarantee documentation given at the time of purchase. What the so called FIRA technician did not realize is that the inspection was being recorded on video and that he fact stated totally different findings to what he wrote in the report, (Transcript will be provided for the Court) also Bensons have only sent me Two pages of the 19 page FIRA report. I will be putting all the evidence before the Ombudsman and the before the Court together with a claim for all costs if this matter is not resolved to my satisfaction as i have a very expensive bed that is under Guarantee and Not fit for purpose and i suffer from serious spinal back problems being exacerbated with the protruding springs. Bensons Beds are clearly a very dishonest company and i would advise that the reviews on this site are totally different to reviews.co.uk that clearly show one star ratings, i have put this review on here as Carl Martin referred me to this site to see these edited good reviews of the company. If you are buying a bed i would take these stated facts into consideration of the type of company you are dealing with and take note of other review web sites as i am clearly not the first to experience this type of Customer service.
