Bought bed from Bensons for Beds, took delivery on 1st of March 2019. Faulty part on bed and phoned customer services to get this sorted. I have provided photographs of the problem and have since asked for replacement to which the reply was we will send someone out to inspect it. Not quite what I wanted or expected. I’m currently awaiting delivery of wardrobes I’ve paid for and expected delivery. They phoned to say they can’t deliver on expected date. No further information other than we will call within 48 hours. I was then given the choice to cancel the order. Not what I would consider great customer service Stephen Stronach

Don’t normally write reviews but this one I have to. Bought 2 beds from bensons totalling over £3000. One the day of the delivery firstly the delivery men walked in with their shoes on and then attempted to walk into the bedrooms with their shoes on. When leaving didn’t think why they were in a hurry to close our porch door and leave. Only when I was going to work that I noticed they had broken our porch door. Immediately phoned bensons up to complain about the damage, got through to them after nearly 1 hour. Gave all the details about what had happened and the damage done. Assured me some one will call back, no one did. Couple of days later rang them again and guess what over an hour waiting for them to answer the phone. Eventually got through and explained all the details again, again some will phone you back. I must have phoned them about 6-7 times each time over 1 hour for them to answer. Finally I had a manager call me back to say that they are going to interview the driver and he will call me back as soon as that is done. Called back after about 1 week to say that we have interviewed the drivers and they have admitted that they had done the damage and I had to get 2 quotes for the work to be carried out Sent 2 quotes as requested. Manager then called back to say we have the quotes and to get the work carried out by any one of the companies as they was only £10 difference between the quotes. Work has been done nearly 4 months now still no payment for the company who done the work. So far they have come up with excuse after excuse each time saying the company has to phone them direct then saying I have to phone them again. Every time I have asked to speak to a manager but it seems like there are no managers working there. I have yet to speak to someone one in authority. Now they are saying to me that they want to know which manager told me to carry the work out. I have told them many times I don’t remember his name. They are just making excuse after excuse. It seems like they employ young kids who have no idea about customer service. Please avoid this company if not be prepared to wait over an hour each time to get through to them and if anything goes wrong ain’t no way you will get it sorted. Next step for me is the lawyers. I have had enough of excuse after excuse PLEASE AVOID. I cannot stress MORE.

Bought a firm Splendour mattress for over 1k and a few months later, feels like I’m sinking inside the mattress. Terrible quality, Terrible customer service (67 minutes on hold for them to answer my call), biased technicians. Never again!!!

Warehouse do not care what they ship, Holes in wrong place are not a problem, they will ship it anyway. Customer service book an engineer to come resolve the issue, 3 month later after calling “ oh I’m sorry sir, this was never reported”!! Send and email, receive a reply 3 weeks later ON EVERY EMAIL!! Make a phone call, call is not answered in under 30 minutes GUARANTEED! Speak to the store who and ask “can I have some information regarding the extra cover” to be told “I will call you back shortly” 6 months later........guess what NEVER HAPPENED! The most embarrassing excuse of a company I have ever worked with, please stay away as the deals are seriously not worth it!!

We been using product from this company for last 5 years. But the customer service is apathetic and extremely racist, especially the Colindale branch. I myself is brown skin and I was serve by a branch lady who was black skin. Another black skin interrupted us and the branch lady simply walk out with other customer leaving the conversation half way. When I asked her why she said I will be better served by “wasim- a Asian “. I was and still furious about it. Wasim never came to help us out as he was busy with other customer. Since when customer service is based of your race or colour. I am determined not to walk that shop again.

This is my second review for said company, back in January we were offered their highest compensation of £30 guess what we are now in March and I'm still chasing this up also our bed arrived without enough screws so we built up the bed with back up screws we had to purchase but surprise surprise we are still waiting for our replacement screws. I can't press enough about how bad this company's customer service is. Please do not spend your hard earned cash with this company.

i bought 2 full bedroom furniture tempur mattress and ottoman bedframe too.for my mattress they change 2 times delivery time and when all things come mattress weren't here i try to talk with agent 5 times all of them were not helpful and really not bothered i told them i will go to holiday on 11th of march and they are giving me another delivery time on 14th of march and not even listening. this morning because i were gonna have delivery i did give away our bed and now have no bed to sleep i would never ever gonna use this company again

I agree with everyone here and also wish I'd looked here as I usually check out every company I deal with but didn't think I could go wrong buying a bed from a big company.the man in store was really helpful and friendly.we were guaranteed delivery was before xmas so got rid of bed day before delivery having phoned to get it confirmed twice that it was still coming.no phone call and no bed arrived. Phoned store &told it was coming a few days later,still no bed. Bed came eventually with no warning ,luckily we were home ,minus freepillows and mattress protector.store said they will let me have compensation but as I have never yet managed to speak to a customer service adviser. About 30 phone calls put on hold then line goes dead.e mails not replied to for two weeks. First e mail said my husband had to give his permission for them to give me details,after which another e mail asking me to give my husband permission to have details discussed. I have now gone through resolver and have been told to escalate to ombudsman Nearly three months and still haven't had one conversation with them the store say it cant deal with after sales.how can you solve anything if they wont talk to you.? Companys a joke

Absolute rubbish service all round! After waiting over 8 weeks for £3000+ bed we are still waiting for customer services to contact us!! Highly NOT recommended.

Sales People standing around ignore you.....When I purchased the bed....7 days later received a call to say bed ready to deliver ( !"£$%^ 7 days to call me back) Bed and headboard delivered headboard does not fit. "10 days to send out someone to tell me headboard is wrong???? 8 weeks still not solved because some sales person can't do one thing right......"£$%^&

I actually feel sorry for the staff who have to carry out bensons for beds non existent after sales policies. Their 5 year warranty is basically complete fraud. They are never going to actually replace or repair your bed / mattress. It could spontaneously combust and they would be telling you that it was ‘user fault’ or ‘natural settlement’. My advice to all customers would be don’t waste your time trying to get them to replace their shoddy products, just accept that they are a bunch of con men and go and buy another bed from a company that actually does what it promises to. If I could have left them zero stars I would have.

Ok at first, but the mattress developed two troughs where we sleep after three years. The mattress has a five year guarantee so we contacted Bensons. They sent a third party company (FIRA) to assess the mattress. Unsurprisingly the conclusion was 'normal settlement'. FIRA operates on behalf of furnishing companies so has a vested interest in finding no fault - they are hardly independent. Some searching on the internet predicted what the FIRA rep would say and what the results would be. It was exactly as predicted. The guarantee is worthless. We need another mattress but won't be buying from Bensons.

Benson for Beds, please take my advice and avoid that Company like the plague. We bought a Gel Bed costing £1399.00 and I found it uncomfortable from the first day, we thought it was just the newness and decided to keep hoping the gel it would soften. It hasn’t, we went back to their Kirkcaldy shop and spoke to shop assistant Jade (who previously had sold us the bed and said how good they were?) she says, she can’t help? We need to speak to Customer Service, after 1 1/2 of waiting we eventually spoke to a Representative called Stevie, in all my 70 years I’ve never come across some who just spilt rudeness out of his mouth, not giving you time to respond to his driveling. Please DON’T buy from this Company, they’re just ignorant and rude. I look forward to the day they go into liquidation 😜

We ordered our wardrobe just aftwr Christmas and were told 6 weeks until delivery. Now about 8 -10 weeks of waiting we have just received an email to tell us it will be another 8 weeks. We have been coping without wardrobes in our new house for all this time and are discusted by this service.

I wish I had read the reviews on this company. I have been trying to cancel and order as I have found the mattress cheaper elsewhere. The brand was rude, obnoxious and broke the companies strict data protection laws by adding me as a joint customer on the account after the sales adviser 'forgot to do it' on ordering the mattress. I you want to cancel you have to pay 20% not just the deposit but the whole order amount AWFUL COMPANY PLEASE STAY AWAY THEY ARE SO RUDE

Following on from a previous review. Bensons have employed their tame "expert" to assess the the mattress which has collapsed in the centre after 3 months. In order to refute their findings I need to pay out £100 for my own expert. The person on the phone was completely hard faced and unwilling to help. Just desperate to pass the buck. Don't you realise that your goods need to be of merchantable quality and fit for purpose. (never mine your fictional guarantee). I will take this further , but, urge anyone not to buy from them given my experience.

Horrendous service. Would have given 0 stars if possible. Staff members speaking down to us, cancellation of delivery date which was booked 2 months in advance and pushed back a further month and lack of response to queries. Do not purchase from here.
