Worst company we have ever experienced! Spent £2900 on 2 beds both were broken! We complained the day after they were delivered! 2 months later we had still heard nothing, our decorator happened to push the bed across the floor and because benson's still hadn't sent the replacement feet my brand new carpet was torn! Called benson's obviously fuming that we still hadn't had our replacement legs and they said they had no log of us calling them! Then they requested photos of the broken legs, a bed which weighs over 70kg may I point out, then there's their emails where they speak to you like garbage! 4 months on still no replacement legs, we can't have the carpet relayed because we don't have the legs and it will happen again! I have a good mind to take benson's to court for this!

Bought a sofa bed in August. Seemed comfy enough when we laid on it for 30 seconds in store, but when it was used for a whole night when our son came to stay he found it impossible to sleep on. A wooden plank was sticking into his ribs all night long. We spoke to Customer service who sent out a technician. He said there was no manufacturing fault so nothing they can do. No concern at all for the fact that it is not fit for purpose. Zero customer service! As previously stated, they're all lovely in the shop while taking your money. After sales service non existent. I've emailed complaints department; same response - not their issue - suggest we try to obtain a third party opinion at our own expense! I really wish I'd read the review on here before setting foot in their store. Will never go there again!!

We live on a narrow country lane on a hill with a hairpin bend. We told Bensons they would need a smaller van to get up the road and they sent a huge lorry(they did the same thing with another bed 12 months ago but the driver got halfway up and eventually the bed was carried up to us) and the driver refused to even look to see if delivery was possible. As our old bed was taken away we now are sleeping on the couch, not good when you’re in your 60’s and have arthritis in your spine. Obviously we have complained and been told that the earliest we can expect delivery is in 4 days time. Oh and they offered us an air bed or a loan bed until then! No better than the couch! Will never use this firm again.

Delivered king size bed this am. Guys taking mattress up stairs smahed wall light. Guys admitted it was there fault. Obviously it wsd an accident.. Guys phoned dept and told them and i spoke to customer service they said they would phone me straight back about refunding me. Nobody did. I phoned customer services to be told there is a process for this.. guys have to be interviewed to see if they are at fault and then i have to put two quotes in for light. Disgraceful customer service. Do not buy from this store...

Do not buy from this store - the products are low quality and the guarantee does not cover all items. We purchased a whole bedroom suite just under two years ago. The chest of drawers quickly became faulty. When customer services sent out an engineer we were told that it was accidental damage and we would have to pay for it to be repaired! Whole bedroom ruined.

Put my hand through divan base top. The double bed divan top is constructed with 4 eqi spaced wooden straps covered in thin cardboard or similar material with a cloth covering. Ok if mattress is not moved, but place your hand between straps and slight pressure will split material. Cloth covering remained ok.

Stay away!!! After spending £1500 on a bed and mattress their friendly nature changed to I don’t care when I had need to contact their customer ‘service’ team. Their exact words were speak to a third party, i.e. trading standards and refused to log a complaint. They are appalling. Stay away. I raised a complaint on resolver and they simply closed it!!!

Terrible customer service e mail them with a complaint they sent auto e mail back saying they will contact you within 10 days -then don't- they encourage you to phone and keep you hanging on for 40 mins then, when you do speak to an advisor they promise to get back to you then don't. Our wardrobe was delivered with parts missing in Oct we are still with a wardrobe we cannot use and they still have not sent us the missing fixings to rectify this. Avoid Bensons at all costs.

Absolutely shocking, disgusting service. I wish I saw this site before visiting Benson's. Had no notification of any deliveries until 12.16pm on the day of delivery saying it will be delivered from 7am to 9am on that day (up to five hours earlier). After getting in at 5am the previous night, we weren't awake at the 7am delivery attempt (we didn't know we had to be as we weren't notified of any delivery times at all previously), at which we received zero phone calls prior to the day, zero phone calls on the day and one measly text five hours after the delivery attempt. We called around 8 different people after each person telling us they can't do anything and to call someone else who would just say the same. None of them believed us even though we have proof of the time the one text message was sent, and they blamed it on our personal mobile 'having no signal' or being 'faulty' despite always being contacted by other people and being right near Reading city centre. We were told we would be delivered a bed in March (so another two months of sleeping on the floor in our new house) and that the bedside tables were out of stock (despite them being attempted delivery this morning). We called other people and each person had different information on delivery dates and the bedside tables were, in fact, available - the van is still driving around with them in his van as I'm writing this review! Every person we spoke to got extremely defensive and at one point, threatened to 'cut the call because we were laughing at her personally' when in fact we were laughing at the situation, which I informed her. They eventually said there was a £25 fee that we needed to pay 'because we missed the delivery which is our responsibility and they held up their end' when, in fact, we had no contact about the bed and bedside tables being delivered which is regulations. We were also lied to several times (most likely as we are a young couple moving to our first house), saying that the bedside tables were out of stock, also saying that the earliest delivery time was March (which wasn't the case), and that 'no one else had this issue this morning' when this company has been rated an overall rating of 1/5 (except on their website, surprise!) And 4/5 people on average have a terrible experience here. When we were fed up of the incompetence, we wanted to ask our money back and forget it, but there is a 20% cancellation fee for something that wasn't even our fault which, for us, is around £300. They seem very friendly in store in Benson Bicester when you wave money in front of their faces, but as soon as you experience issues they are all very against you and become very defensive. Stay away, if there is one piece of advice I can give, the beds look enticing and low priced with great deals but please STAY AWAY.

They take a 20% fee for any change in order or if consumer decides to cancel. For me, that is £150. For nothing, feels like Benson's for Beds have stolen my money!

One star is very generous. Absolutely disgraceful lack of service. Wardrobe very poor quality- 4 months down the line with a wardrobe that can not be used and unfortunately were sucked into 0% finance so left with a debt and a not fit for purpose wardrobe. Lack of care and attention shocking and purchased online so the shop stores will not even assist. Purchased care and protection who only cover stains!! You don’t tend to get stains on a wood and mirrored wardrobe!! Even the fact that the wardrobe is dangerous and a health and safety worry made no difference. We will continue to fight this case to prevent others from experiences like ours. Never to be recommended.

Bought a gel bed in February 2019 , have turned it every six weeks like instructed , now we have what I can only describe as a large jumping the middle of a king size bed a lot higher than the two sides , it’s impossible to sleeping the middle of the bed as you just fall to the sides . I called bensons as when I purchased the bed the reason I went with this company was the guarantee which isn’t worth the paper it’s written on . 15000 bed not even lasting one year disgusting , I will be seeking legal advice or contacting trading standards . My advice go to another shop .

We have had our super king Arlington TV bed for 20 months, at the beginning of December 2019 we felt a bang and then noticed that the mattress was sinking into the middle, we had home serve out to look at it who came to the conclusion that the board underneath the mattress had become damp at some time and warped which had pulled out 2 of the screw inserts, he said that this would not be covered by the warranty and we should contact Bensons for beds to see if they would do anything. We went to our local Torquay store today and asked if it wasn't covered by the warranty could we purchase a new base board, we were told that Bensons do not purchase parts and the manufacturer will not deal with the public, I said so we are left with a broken bed that we cannot repair because we cannot purchase any parts, I told them how ridiculous it is that I can pay nearly £2000 for a bed and if it is damaged in anyway that is not covered by the warranty then I should just throw it away. I found this very frustrating and started to walk out, admittedly I did raise my voice slightly as I was leaving and proceeded to tell them what a ridiculous system this is, I was passed by which I now understand was the regional manager who wasn't interested in our problem only that I was speaking loudly, I was then out of the main door when he accused me of swearing at him and proceeded to get in my face, his face was approximately 2 inches away from mine, I asked him to get out of my face to which he said "what are you going to do about it"? at this point I pushed him backwards when he must have tripped on the threshold of the main door and ended up on the floor, the police were called and the rest is history. I realise I shouldn't have pushed him but in my defence he was acting in a threatening manor and he is the one that escalated the situation, if he had just let me go out the door I would have got in my car and gone, he is the one that chased me and confronted me, not the actions of a manager that should show some concern for a customers aggravations.

Absolutely disgusting!! Do NOT use Bensons! Purchased a bed and changed our mind - as I would have thought we all have a right to do however, it would appear we still MUST take delivery of said unwanted bed and then can cancel order when we pay for them to collect it and deduct a further 20% eh??? as usual there's no management to discuss this nonsense process with they'll be on the golf course and the organ grinder can't help?? mm maybe a TV complaints programme or newspapers may be interested in taking this up on my behalf? lets see?

Paid almost 1400 pounds for a TV bed.delivered on the correct date however the wrong foot part of the bed was delivered.called Benson's and told the correct part would be delivered in 7 to 10 days.it was never delivered and after numerous calls where we were fobbed off with 'its being chased up' we decided to cancel the whole order.was told it would be collected today but we got a text from the delivery company saying it would now be wednesday.we called the delivery company to be told Benson's had changed the date with no prior warning to us.we have lost wages taking the day off and will now lose more taking another day off.we have now spent a month on a mattress on the floor over Christmas and new year and dread trying to get our money back.will never deal with them again.

6 months after our purchase we have an ottoman bed that we can't use because the hydraulic arm has come away from the base. Confirmed as a manufacturing defect the earliest they can send a replacement is 4th February. Not acceptable but there is nothing we can do! During this whole process I was very concerned when one of the customer advisers asked if they could have my credit card details to confirm that I was the account holder - before they could process the replacement. Surely they don't have this information available on their screens?
