We were having our kitchen fitted to last into our retirement. We had our quote which i felt was really expensive but i was a believer that you get what you pay for i was wrong in this instance. The sales man advised us not to have preparation work done by betta living and rang a builder to come and give us a quote on the plastering that was a further £1200 on top of the £15000 and that was sale price of 60% off plus another 205 on top if we agreed before the end of January. This has been the biggest disappointment of my life. The plaster has since dropped off the walls.A damaged door took over 8 months to to replace. The fitter did not turn up on the day arranged and my dogs were in the kennels for 2 weeks that was £140 which was never reimbursed. The Hippo bag remained outside of our property for 3 weeks and we had problems organising the removal of that. The lights did not match and were of different shade of white. The plinth lighting still does not work properly and despite numerous phone calls no joy with that.We also had a bathroom fitted again the fitter never turned up problems with hippo bag we have had problems with the mirror cabinet and also had 2 extractor fans with in 6 months. The house was still full of tiles and bits and pieces for months and in the end nobody came to take which was obviously very expensive tiles and other stufff. What a shambles stay away from this company if you want a well co-ordinated top quality job

I know you don't me but PLEASE PLEASE do not even entertain the idea of dealing with this company. They are an absolute cowboy company from showroom to after sales customer service. They have absolutely destroyed any kitchen design dreams we had so we have now paid a fortune for a kitchen like any other which you could of got from B & Q. Do not go near the Gemini, Warrington showroom as this is where your nightmare will begin. The showroom assistant will even tell you that his wifes name is the same as yours just to drag you in. I don't even know what to say about the surveyor who spent 4 hours in my kitchen and then asked my installers to cut down the extractor fan he was supposed to have measured correctly to fit as "those two won't know" meaning me and my husband. So patronising and so rude. AWFUL AWFUL person. If the shop assistants and surveyor can't do their jobs correctly how do you expect the rest to get it right. I cannot stress how much you need to seriously think about you decision to employee this company. They are truly the worse company I have EVER dealt with. My complaint is now with BBC Watchdog so before you make any decisions please think carefully

It took a month for the right item to be delivered....asked to give me calls back and reply to me but no calls at all unless I have chased them, sent me wrong items a few times - it seems no data base what had to be ordered and what has been ordered. Very poor customer service, even now it is the second day I am still awaiting to return my call :( never again to deal with them in my life.

I have fitted 4 kitchens from various different suppliers. This was the most expensive out of all of them, however the quality appeared to be superior. Kitchen arrived yesterday, the first unit I assembled was the double oven carcase. It appeared the wrong one had been sent, contacted the post sales twice it took nearly 3 hours to return the call. The installation manager has informed me that they only have a standard double oven carcase and shelves should be altered with monoblocks and drilled through the side, in other words bodged to suit. No instructions how this should be done. My advise go to Ikea, third of the price, easy installation everything is designed to suit individual requirement. Do not contemplate using this organisation. Im stuck with it, you may be not.

Beware of dealing with this company, like another reviewer we felt pressured into paying the deposit, having had second thoughts about dealing with Betta Living and as we were in our 14 day cooling off period, we called our local branch and requested to cancel our order and have our deposit back, eventually the manager called me back and said I need to e-mail him, this I did. After no contact for some days I called again several times, then got told their head office has to deal with it, I called them and got nowhere other than empty promises. More days pass with no information or contact, then I made a heated call and got the customer service manager who promised a lot and I got nothing, I am still chasing and still getting nowhere other than I am considering legal action to retrieve my deposit which under the Consumers act I am totally within my rights to receive. Don’t end up like me, think twice sign nothing and don’t give your card details however pressurised you get.

60% off and free Neff appliances their adverts say, WHAT A JOKE. Although they are 100% entertaining. We had 5 quotes for our kitchen, the Betta Living sales person arrived complete with sales kit, sales patter and swagger. He designed the kitchen more to his liking than ours, showed us the 3d cad drawing on his lap top and it looked great for him but not us. Then we sat and worked out the cost, at some point after pressing many keys on his calculator he actually wrote £40,000 on his pad ?????, then he deducted the FREE appliances (not Neff) and took off the 60% special offer even deducted £10,000 for a managers special and we ended up with £16,000 yippee it’s a bargain, NOT. This equated to our second highest quote and the highest quote did have Neff appliances. Betta Living were also able to fit in the shortest lead time about 3 to 4 weeks, I wonder why???? This company Betta Living are a joke, having read the reviews which are the most negative views I have ever read about any product or service I don’t understand how they continue trading. Betta Living could do with a Betta Image.

The most appalling motley crew ever. Devious is to fine a word to describe them. The sink and bath drains fitted directly to the toilet sewer line, disgusting and I'm pretty sure illegal. Wrong tiles and grout. Total disregard to the agreed plans, personal insults, very dodgy financial dealings in signing off incomplete work without permission from us. 14 months to complete. I could go on and on. Do yourself a favour and avoid them like the plague

I regret buying my kitchen from this company and would never recommend it to anyone. I have been messed about from the beggining. The Surveyor made the wrong measurements therefore some units would not fit and had to be replaced with smaller sizes leaving awkward empty spaces to fill, some parts I had as part of the design have been discontinued, my new wooden flooring had been damaged by the installers, wrong parts are being delivered to this date 5 months on from survey and the kitchen remains incomplete. The service is appalling and I could not recommend them any less.

We sought a quote for dressing room furniture in early January 2015. We were quickly visited by a charming and skilled planner, who drew up a design. He priced it at approaching £5000, giving us the benefit of a sale price if we decided then and there. However, we wanted to compare with IKEA, whilst recognising the supposed inferior quality. My wife insisted on this, so he encouraged us to sign his deal there and then, but we could cancel within the 14 day cooling off period. Also, we were told our credit card would not be charged. The next day, we visited IKEA. We were impressed with the design range and more particularly, the delivery and fitting which would take place much quicker than Betta Living in just a few days. Our view on quality was that we thought IKEA was about 20% less sturdy. However, the cost was £1300. On this basis, we decided to go with IKEA. The following day we called Betta Living to cancel our order. We then discovered our credit card had been charged. It took us several phone calls and an email to higher authority to obtain a refund. Constant statements saying we can only send a cheque, or of some one in Finance needs to agree this were extremely frustrating. It was only after a suggestion that the company was in dire straits as it could not pay its debts as and when demanded (definition of insolvency) was something done. I would never deal with this company again.

Would never use this company. Been let down twice now by Betta Living, before they even started doing any work. Feel like I've had a lucky escape

In December 2014 I arranged an appointment with BettaLiving for a design visit for a kitchen. That same afternoon, the saleman who would be making the house call rang to ask whether my husband would be present at the visit. when my husband stated that he wouldn't be able to be there, but that he was happy for the appointment to go ahead, the salesman cancelled our appointment as he wasn't willing to attend an appointment with 'just a wife' as decisions would be have to be made with my husband present. Charming as the idea was that I was some poor housewife, living in the dark ages, unable to make a decision for myself, we made the decision that this was not a company we wished to put a penny of our money towards. Since this call, I did receive a phone call from a manager within the company who rather than apologise, was sure that I'd overreacted and that I should arrange another appointment - with my husband there! It has now been 8 weeks since making that fateful request for a design visit, and I have now been pestered with 8 phone calls from the company (and some subsiduary departments too) to schedule an appointment. Each time I have asked them to update their records and remove me as I will never be working with their company - this is clearly not happening. Never approach this company unless you are 100% you will be taking them up on their work regardless of the service/quote you receive - they will never leave you alone!

I ordered some bedroom furniture, taking up an offer of a significant reduction if I ordered there and then. I was happy with the design and apparent quality so was happy to proceed. A surveyor visted three weeks later, after the order cancellation period had expired, and told me that the salesman had been a mistake and that the agreed design would not fit in the room. The surveyor was very unhelpful and was only interested in completing the drawings of the original design despite them not fitting in the room. I asked if he could help me to find an alternative design to fit in the space but received only sarcasm in reply. I rang a manager whilst the surveyor was there to ask for help to resolve the situation but to no avail. With no solution and no furniture design to fit my room, I had with no choice but to cancel the order and the manager said he would ring me back. He didn't. I've rung him and head office several times to complain and to ask for a refund but have always been told that someone will ring me back. They haven't. A year later I still haven't had a refund. I can't recommend this company because of the way they handle problems. They seem to take your money for goods that aren't fit for purpose, then cut and run. Shameful.

Firstly, please excuse any brevity in this review as my original one was reported by Betta Living for coarse language as I described someone as ‘ignorant’ , ’lazy’ and ‘unprofessional’. Please note I did not give the actual details of this person involved. I described the said individual as the previous due to the fact he repeatedly failed to arranges things he said he would over the course of several weeks. In summary of my actual experience with Betta Living is as follows: I arranged some company to quote me for a fitted bedroom over the summer, one of which was Betta Living. Salesman came, to put it short I was happy with the design. The salesman offered me a price of ~£3300 right there and then or £4000 if I bought it later. I found it personally intimidating them trying this sale tactic on me as who in the right mind would pay several thousand pounds for something on the spot without taking time to think or get alternate quotes, even if they really liked it! After some negotiation the price, I accept the offer, with an installation date set for the end of October shortly after. After signing up, I was unimpressed by the fact they then told me I would need to take time off work during the week (they don’t do weekends) for both separate delivery and installation, which as working in a school, can be extremely difficult to arrange! On the day of installation, a single fitter arrived. While I was very impressed with the persistence of the fitter in that he did 12 hours without almost any break on the first, during the second day he rushed because he had to get to a dentist appointment. The issues caused by the job being rushed meant that handles on the wardrobe doors were completely out of alignment, doors were scratched, access holes were poorly cut and parts of the furniture damaged. The day after the installation I phoned up Betta Living and the lady on the phone was very helpful and apologetic and asked me to send in photos and said she would chase it up for me. Betta Living even with picture proof, decided they need to send more fitters around to check the quality of the installation and report back before anything could be progressed, to which a fitter was ‘booked’ in. I took time off work on the day the fitter was booked in, but unfortunately, one never showed; which later turned out to be the result my account manager hadn’t bothered to book a fitter…. Phoned up to complain and another fitter was booked to come around and inspect the bedroom (Yes you guessed it! More time needed off work). The second time the fitters did come around and pass on the information required to the account manager. However, even with this information the account manager failed to do anything until over a week later when I phoned again to check the progress and again promises were made. After phoning their very helpful customer services department, things were kicked into gear and a replacement door was ordered and a fitter was ‘booked’ in. Unfortunately again, this was not the case and I had to phone to ask them to actually book one in. Soon after the fitter arrived to replace the doors and one of them was completely the wrong size! Again I had to get back on the phone to chase this up, but unfortunately at this point it was the 23rd of December (2 months after the original installation) and I had to travel to meet family and so I left another attempt at getting it right till after christmas. 2015 arrives and we confirm a date for a fitter to fit yet another replacement door, finally it was the right size and the handles were level! But this door was damaged and so we were back to square one. As the time of this review it is the 16th January 2015 (nearly 3 months after installation) and I still have a damaged door, damaged trimmings and a poorly cut access hole and still no indication of when everything will be fixed. I’ve found the process to be totally unprofessional as when you book an appointment with a customer and they take time off work (which results in loss of income), it is actually considered courteous to actually book it! While there were certain individuals I’ve been unimpressed with throughout this ordeal, the vast majority of the staff at Betta Living have been polite, professional and extremely helpful.

Do not go ANYWHERE near this company. Having dreamed about getting a new kitchen for 25 years, my parents are now wishing they'd never started it. This company have messed us about from the start. We had a guy come and design our kitchen, it looked wonderful and we couldn't wait for it to be started. We were having an extension built so when the surveyor came out to measure everything out to make sure it fit, nothing fit. The designer had done totally wrong measurements, ordered the wrong appliances, just a total mess. This had to be re-designed and ended up costing more money which Betta Living agreed to pay for, but they did it begrudgingly. We were hoping that was the end of the madness, it turns out it wasn't. Our builder who has been fitting kitchens for the past 30 years came to fit the kitchen and has never been so flabbergasted by a kitchen before in his life. It came with no instructions, which after talking to the 'kitchen fitter manager', they apparently don't send any instructions because they basically want you to admit defeat and pay them £2000 for fitting. They sent us numerous wrong pieces, which they 'can't believe' they did. The 'filler' finishing off pieces don't match the kitchen cupboards. We ordered a Shaker High Gloss Cream, the filler parts are a 'cream colour' and matt sheen. Apparently, they don't match the kitchen unless you pay over the odds, which they obviously don't believe we have. The company just don't care and are saying it's 'not their problem'. We had to order a new draw front because it got damaged, it's taken nearly two weeks to turn up. Our neighbour just knocked on our door with it in her arms, they'd delivered it to the wrong address. When we looked at the draw front, they'd sent completely the wrong one. As I said, our design is 'Shaker High Gloss Cream', the front they'd sent was for a New York Gloss Cream. When we called the company they said they ordered that because that's what the system says our kitchen is, how is that even possible when all our delivery notes state it's 'Shaker High Gloss Cream'. None of it makes any sense. From what I've read of reviews online, I'm so glad we have our own fitter. It seems Betta Living send out novices when it comes to fitting kitchens for themselves, at least our builder wants to make sure it's done correctly and we're not left with a sham of a kitchen. At the time of writing this review, the kitchen isn't even finished yet so who knows what other things could go wrong.

I recently bought my kitchen from Betta Living and I could not be more disgusted by the poor service I received. Upon ordering I was promised by sales person impeccable service apparently given this company's experience and good reputation. I explained the importance of delivering on time and in full, given I have two young children and cannot be without a kitchen. They insist on taking your money upfront and once they have it they will do as they please: the initially overly keen and overly friendly salesman will suddenly not answer your calls and the entire team that you have dealt with upon purchase will hide behind another 'head office' team whose computer funnily always says 'no'. And nobody is there when you need to speak to them; they are either away from their desks or on holiday for days on end. Or just not available. The biggest problem here is that they do not deliver in full. My kitchen arrived with no worktops, among other pieces! I had builders who could not install my kitchen because of the incomplete delivery. To this day (weeks later) I am still waiting for some big pieces, without which the installation of my kitchen cannot be completed. I am told the pieces have not yet been produced! Yet they sold me the kitchen on the basis that on X date I will have everything. Needless to say infuriating, disappointing and very unprofessional. If there was an option of 0 stars I would have chosen it. I could not recommend them less. I regret enormously having bought the kitchen from Betta Living.

We had a kitchen installed April 7th 2014 which was the start date. They told us it would take 4 days but we are now in December 2014 and still facing many issues with doors dropping glass splash back cracking and many more. Quartz was cut to the wrong size glass splash back was sent out 4 times either the wrong colour or wrong size then once fitted 2 months later cracked in several places because of the heat. This glass should have been heat resistant and toughened glass but was neither. This was then removed and it took plaster of the wall which had been newly plastered prior to them starting to fit the kitchen. The carousel was fitted but was chipped when installed. When speaking to betta living on a daily basis they would tell you they would call you back. They never called back at all. It was a constant battle trying to get all these issues sorted. The customer service is shocking. There is no such thing as customer service with betta living. I would never ever recommend this company to anyone.

I ordered a bedroom on the 29/9/14 I cancelled on the 1/10/14 by email and recorded delivery due to the fact the bedroom originally wanted the measurements were not workable according to the surveyor ,the price did not alter despite being less,I have paid £2170 in deposits ,money I have saved hard for despite being told by customer services that a refund has to go by head office and someone will be in touch. No one has despite phone calls and emails, the sales person assured me it was a company that put customers first and listened to them.I am on a pension and I am getting very worried that I will not get my monkey back.Don't deal with this company unless you have money to throw away.
