I signed up for BetterMe last February. I was unable to login. I contacted their customer service and no one responded for months! I contacted them multiple times. When they finally did respond, they apologized and said someone would be getting in touch shortly. Another month went by with no response. It took 10 months to resolve the issue. When I asked if they could extend my one year contract, since I only get to use it for 2 months, they said NO! I am absolutely appalled with this company. I have nothing good to report. They have brought me nothing but frustration. Zero stars.

I paid for a weeks trial and they took 37:00 from my account stating you have to cancel the rental, they then barter offering you half back. Nothing short of theft. Don't use this app

We don’t know how we got on your membership list, we have no app, have never used it and are being charged $41/mnt Canadian, how do we get out of this nonsense?

I never ever signed up for a subscription. I have just found out I have been charged 37.19 for the past 9 months.... absolutely disgusting. Never even logged into the app only tonight to cancel the subscription. I sincerely hope I an refunded.

After a day of trying the app, I can easily tell it's something you can do just by watching YouTube for free. So I then messaged the company to cancel and refund, and after a series of back-and-forth email, them trying to convince me to stay ended up it's non-refundable. It's a shame, because I haven't really utilized the service, not one single bit of the programme. So yes, just make sure you know it's nonrefundable.

I went through all the steps, body type, age,weight and goals. I decided to take the 12 weeks for .30 a day or $25.99. I noticed they were pushing PayPal but, due to a horrible experience recently with PayPal l, I chose to use my Wells Fargo debit card. After I entered my card, it said my institution had declined it. I called WF and was told there were THREE $25.99 charges made! What they're NOT saying is the true charge is is $25.99 PER MONTH, Not what they show!

I recently had a challenging experience with BetterMe App that I feel is important to share. While the app itself offers a range of features that could be beneficial for health and fitness enthusiasts, my interaction with their customer service over a subscription cancellation and refund issue was less than satisfactory. Initially, I found the app promising, but due to personal reasons, I decided to cancel my subscription. I followed the cancellation procedures as instructed by the app. However, I was surprised to find that my subscription was still active and was auto-renewed without my consent. Upon contacting customer support, the responses were slow, and it took multiple attempts to get a clear explanation. The support team, while polite, adhered strictly to their Terms and Conditions, citing non-refundability under Paragraph 6.8, despite the apparent cancellation on my end. This response was both frustrating and disappointing, as it seemed to overlook the possibility of a system error or miscommunication. While I understand the importance of Terms and Conditions, the lack of flexibility and understanding in customer service in situations where the customer has made a reasonable effort to comply with the cancellation process is concerning. It undermines the overall user experience. In conclusion, while BetterMe may offer a good product, my experience with their customer service over this particular issue has left a negative impression. I advise potential users to be very cautious about the subscription terms and to be prepared for potential challenges should you need to cancel your service.

Did not authorise a membership however auto debit payments were taken. When a refund was requested they failed to respond authentically, and just kept trying to offer better deals. Ended up having to submit a dispute with my financial institution.

READ THE REVIEWS!!!! They are a scam and a cheat and take money out of your account that they say they don’t see on your end. I am fighting with them now to get my money back and they are saying they don’t see any fees charged but my BANK does! I definitely am going to dispute with my bank!

The App is good itself but the customer service is horrible. When I signed up with a basic plan for a month, Better Me signed me up for a auto payment automatically and I did not notice!! then there was a $50 deduction from my account for 2 months 28/11/2023 and 30/12/2023 and when I raised it to the customer service last month, they still have not got back to me! I hate apps that signed you up for autopayment rather than sendig a remider email!! I won't recommend it to anyone and wont sign up again! Thanks, Shay Date of

I would to inform those with this app you can go to your settings on your phone and you should look for subscriptions, find the one you wish to cancel and click cancel subscription. Yes the terms and conditions state auto renewal without stating the charges!! Plus any increase at anytime without notifying you. You can be in charge so try this out and that way you are making sure it’s cancelled from your apple or android card subscription. Good luck 🤞 Dee

Hello! We appreciate that you are sharing your concerns. Before confirming your first purchase, each user manually chooses one of the offered plans. All of them are based on a subscription. You can be offered a discount for your first payment. All further renewals happen at full price. This info is indicated on the same page where you choose a plan. After you confirm your payment, you receive a purchase confirmation letter with the very same details. If you do not agree to be billed for the full price, you can easily cancel the subscription before it renews. It can easily be done either from the app or by contacting our support team beforehand. This business is fraud. Signed up, paid but log in details that I received don't work. Forgot password option doesn't work either so cannot even stop auto renewal. Big red flags so stay away

I do not recommend, they have set up the app based on subscriptions but have adds that intentionally get in your way when you using the app then charge you unexpectedly without needing to confirm. There customer service is non existent and run on Intentionally deceitful practice. Get out why u can so many better fitness app options out there.

Im not happy with them the took money from my card without any service around 140 $ for two months and i inform them to cancel membership but they didn’t 😞

DO NOT SUBSCRIBE TO THIS APP I have used the app and decided it was not for me. I went through the cancellation process, which is sending them an email according to a specific template. It took them 5 months to get back to me (as I see from the other reviews it is pretty standard they reply late, I wonder if it is on purpose to charge people..) meanwhile they kept charging me. When they finally got back to me after 5 months, they refused to refund me for the 5 months they kept charging. Horrible customer service from them as they kept referring to their terms and conditions and sending emails that made no sense. While their T&C clearly states that “ Unless you cancel your subscription, you authorize us and the App Stores to charge you for the renewal term." By sending them a cancellation email I haven’t authorize them to charge my credit card. In the end they’ve decided to “exceptionally” refund me for a month but because it took them 5 months to get back to me I had decided to cancel my credit card to stop the payment, and now they are saying that they can only pay the original credit card.. Long story short this app has a very poor customer service and very questionable issue resolution practices.
