“Made a purchase on a Wednesday giving an incorrect delivery. Notice my error immediately and sent communications to them (within 3 minutes of placing the order) with the correct delivery address. I received no response so I attempted to cancel the oder. Received an instant response stating that the order couldn't be canceled as it had already been "picked and packed". This was within 30 minutes of placing the order. Three hours later, I sent another message asking for confirmation of the new/correct delivery address. No response until two days later on Friday saying it was too late to change the address.
There are plenty of reliable book selling sites online. Better World Books is not one of them.”
“I purchased a book set from them. Shipping was very slow. When I finally received the item it was not the book set that was pictured on their website. It was an entirely different set. When I reached out to customer service they told me I shouldn't have purchased based on the photos they advertise as they may not be accurate. They only offered a refund but I would have to pay return shipping.
I'll stick to sellers that actually use photos of the items they are selling. I've purchased countless books over the years, the majority of them online. This is the first time I've experienced this.”

“Totally misrepresented their book. I knowingly purchased an ex-library edition however it was supposed to be a hardcover edition in Very Good condition. It was listed among all the other copies available listed by the First Print publisher. They sent a Large Print edition not an original published copy. They say it was there in the listing - read the fine print - the ISBN was listed - I was supposed to check that the number was correct - they used the incorrect photo for the item which would have said large print as well - disgraceful company with deceptive practices. Never buy from this company.”
