On August 15, 2022 I purchased Andermatt Shearling boots. They lay in my closet for a long time, about six months ago I started wearing them. I was just walking along the city asphalt. Recently I got caught in the rain and got my feet very wet. When I looked at the sole, it was full of holes! This is already my second pair from this brand that end up with holes. My first boots of the same model wore out quickly in the same way. I replaced the soles, but they were too heavy for them, the shoes were no longer comfortable to wear, and I had to throw them away.
These shoes so short-lived even though I paid 125 euros for them! I will not buy anything from Birkenstock again.
When I bought them, I hoped to wear it for several years, but Birkenstock is simply mocking me by selling substandard goods.”

Sent 30+ pictures as per customer service every time I got a reply and they still couldn't give me a straight answer to wether they can be repaired or not.. and they're still asking me for more pictures. “Defective sandals won't be replaced. They said it is normal wear and tear. They have been worn a minimal amount of times. The so called leather is cracking. The customer service agent acts like the replacement would come out of her check. $100 sandals probably cost 10.00. I have numerous pairs of Birkenstocks, but I won't have anymore.”

“First, I am a fan and advocate of Birkenstocks which is why I feel extra frustrated with customer service because I do love the brand. For years now I buy every year new Birkenstocks and lately I wanted to try som in-house Zermatt Premium Sherling. VEry nice for in house, especially during cold winter months. I wear them after taking a shower in the evening but unfortunately the black color stains my feet intensely. The stains are not only intense in color but also extremely difficult to remove. I can't wear them in the evening because it would effect my white bedding linen. Instead of taking my problem and request to return the item seriously. I received an email saying that there is nothing wrong with the product and that the recomendation is to clean my feet first with olive oil and after with Soap. To be clear, after taking a shower in the evening - the perfect time to wear these in-house- Birkenstocks, I have to take another shower to clean them. The oil and soap recommendation doesn't work by the way. My feet still look un-clean and it looks embarrassing when I am with people.
Birkenstock, no matter if my return request was beyond the time frame, there is something wrong with this product and it would be appropriate to address factory errors accordingly instead of trying to justify the 'health and quality' of the product and sending me complicated cleaning guidelines on how to wash my feet. A Birkenstock fan.

“I had purchased a pair of Nubuck Leather Mocha boots Nov 27 2022. At the time of posting (nov 7 2023). The sole has separated from the boot. Birkenstock claims this is normal wear and tear for a 1 year old product. I expected better quality from this company. I will never buy another Birkenstock product and will notify everyone I know to do the same. For a $300 price tag I fully expect a better product or at the very least better customer service.”
“While Birkenstock sandals are indeed comfortable, the workmanship is shoddy (mine lasted only a few hours of normal wear before falling apart)--and worse, the company offers no warranty whatsoever (which is deplorable, given the price tag). Knowing what I know now, I would rather have purchased three pair of cheaper sandals, which would have lasted a few summers. It's a problem that runs from the bottom to the top of the business, and I don't know that there's a fix when it's broken that badly. I've returned 2 pair that arrived with defects, and 2 pair that developed them in a very short span of time. After being jockey'd around for a few weeks, between multiple "customer service" representatives, I arrived at no resolution whatsoever. Don't waste your time, or money.”

Waited for 32min to get somebody on the phone - which is just a call centre and they don't do anything at all for you. Next week I will have to get a lawyer to get my money back.”

After 8 weeks the order is still missing. Complaints is not taken seriously, no shoes, no refund, only a lot of BS explanations. And there are many. If you don’t know what to do on your spare time, order here and you’ll have a full time job trying get your order or a refund.
