I purchased a pair of women’s Birkenstock Gizeh on sale and understood that it was a sale item not eligible for return. However, I did not expect to receive defective sandals upon arrival that were unwearable. The right sandal was missing the rivet that held the toe piece into the sandal, making the right sandal, completely defective and unwearable . I chatted with Birkenstock, who then sent me onto a customer rep where we emailed back-and-forth. I sent them photos of the front and back sandals. I was told that they would only offer me $10. They were unreceptive to me returning the defective pair for a good pair. Their business practices are unethical. There is nothing I can do with a broken pair of sandals that I paid good money for even though they were on sale. So is that the hook? they get you to buy something on sale and just send you defective merchandise? I will never purchase anything from Birkenstock again and have been a loyal Birkenstock customer for over 15 years.

I received an email from Birkenstock saying my order had been damaged in transit and was being returned to the warehouse. The email said I would be refunded. 20 days later and I have still not received the refund. I contacted customer services and they said I needed to initiate a return and send back the shoes before a refund would be processed. I wish I’d seen these reviews before ordering on their website - never again!

Customer service sucks! I ordered a pair in the size I would always wear. Arrived WAY to big. Exchange should be no problem. EXCEPT by the time I got the pair back to them and THEN they send me the new pair I would not get in time for vacation. So, I order a new pair and just return the big pair. SHOULD be fine. Arriving the day before I go on vacation. But, for some reason the new order gets flagged and cancelled. BUT, they do not notify me. Oder just says processing for DAYS. Can't get ahold of anyone because it's the weekend. Until I call on Monday and say what is going on. Basicly they just say sorry you will have to order again. They can not do it over the phone to be sure it goes through. And they would not get her on time for my vacation now anyway. Unless I pay for rush shipping! No offer from them to rush ship them after THEIR delay. I guess I will never know if I really liked the shoe or not. As I will not give my money to a company with this disregaurd for customer service. All while they are sending me promotional texts twice a day! 1st in order after I get my refund for the original pair is to OPT OUT of any further texts and emails. Beings they can sure inform you of ALL their products. BUT, not when there is a problem with your order!

Awful just awful.. So disappointed. I ordered two pairs and had to return them the next day as they were fitting rather big for me. I actually ended up buying the same but one size smaller in a store in Barcelona. The return has been processed since May 2024, we are now in July, and I still have not received the money. I've called and spoken to their customer care 3 times, exchanged emails, and it seems they have delays with their chosen intermediary for return. I have sent them my proof of return with the intermediary they recommended (Correos) and have explained that my responsibility ends there, and I should be reimbursed as per policy in reasonable time. I am down 215 Euros. I do not recommend them at all!

Purchased these sandals at least twice before, never had any issues with them. My girlfriend loved them. These pair cracked on top of sandal within a few weeks of wearing them. Reached out to Birkenstock and was told it was her fault, she is walking around in them incorrectly and that’s why they are cracking. That does make any sense and has never happened with the previous 2 pair. I’m so glad Birkenstock supports their products. Not happy at all!!

Did not receive the shoes I paid for. Was promised a full refund but then was told I had to figure it out by myself because they aren't responsible for making sure my shoes got to me. Blurry photo attached is what they claim as proof of delivery. The worst experience I've ever had with a company.

Worst customer service ever. My Birkenstocks wore out after 3-4 years, so I tried to order the same model and color. I received the wrong color (lighter brown) twice. I returned the first pair and complained, but when I ordered again, they sent me the wrong color once more. I contacted customer service, but they were unhelpful. They kept responding with the wrong colors, and when I sent them the links to the correct and incorrect items, they just replied, "Here is the link, and for technical reasons, we can’t take orders by phone or mail." Despite using the correct link, I received the wrong color both times. Do not rely on Birkenstock customer service—they can't differentiate the colors of their products and won't help resolve issues.

I have had several pairs of Birkenstocks and have always had great success with them, usually lasting for 3+ years. This pair that I purchased a year ago is already broken and needs to be thrown out. When I brought this to their attention they offered me $10 off on a new pair. This is ridiculous I spend 100 dollars on a pair of the shoes and they will pay for my shipping as a fix? These used to be one of my favorite brands but now I don’t see it being worth the money. It’s a shame how their lack of quality materials has cost me $100 and them a loyal customer.

4 pairs in 2 year and company is telling me I'm wearing them wrong. Very frustrating. No reason a shoe should last less then 6 months. About to give up on them and find another company.

These sandals are poorly constructed. In less than 60 days of wear, the soles are just falling off. You would be better just purchasing a different less expensive brand and purchasing the other brand every few years. Overpriced for the quality of the product. The company doesn't stand behind it's product.

Ordered 3 pairs of sandals, returned 2 pairs as per policy and with birkenstock q r code. Birkenstock denied they received them and after submitting proof of posting would not refund. Therefore had to open a case with PayPal, would never order online with them again .

My daughter bought me Arizona sandals for Mothers Day. I could only exchange for same style. They refused to give me a credit so I could buy another style. Ridiculous. Poor customer service. I returned them and they credited the original payment method. No Mothers Day gift for me.

The item I ordered (sandals) was faulty (poorly glued together). I requested a discount/partial refund and was not given one. They offered me only to return the item and get a full refund. Customer service was rude.

The Birkenstock brand is gone! Poor quality, horrific customer service. I talked to a representative named Sabrina. She was awful. I would recommend avoiding this company. My suggestion, Mephisto shoes.

I want to complain about the quality of Birkenstock shoes. On August 15, 2022 I purchased Andermatt Shearling boots. They lay in my closet for a long time, about six months ago I started wearing them. I was just walking along the city asphalt. Recently I got caught in the rain and got my feet very wet. When I looked at the sole, it was full of holes! My first boots of the same model wore out quickly in the same way. I replaced the soles, but they were too heavy for them, the shoes were no longer comfortable to wear, and I had to throw them away. These shoes so short-lived even though I paid 125 euros for them! I will not buy anything from Birkenstock again. When I bought them, I hoped to wear it for several years, but Birkenstock is simply mocking me by selling substandard goods.

Trying to get my sandals recorked. Sent 30+ pictures as per customer service every time I got a reply and they still couldn't give me a straight answer to wether they can be repaired or not.. and they're still asking me for more pictures. God awful online support, starting to wonder if they can even do what they say they can..
