I found them very overpriced and was underwhelmed with the balloons I received. I had paid extra to have a balloon personalised and this was not done- disappointing although this was refunded for me. Overall I would not use again as I feel better value for money is available elsewhere.

Not convinced the balloon was shipped prior to the advised delivery date. Received shipping confirmation 2 working days after the advised delivery date when questioned was told it was an "error" with the system, however, balloon arrived next day... coincidence maybe but seems very unlikely. Balloon and packing good.

When enquiring as to where my order was I was emailed promptly to say that it was a problem with Royal Mail only to find out later that I’d been sent a standard email and the order hadn’t even be prepared. I would have rather known the true position at the beginning.

Although my daughter received the balloons on time, unfortunately they didn't stay blown up for very long, going down within two days of arriving - a little disappointing so I don't think I will be using Bloonaway again.

Hi Jackie, We are of course disappointed to receive this review as were not made aware of this issue with your order. Our foil balloons last several days. Your order was dispatched on the 7th February 2020 and was delivered the next day. If a balloon arrives in anything less than perfect condition, we will gladly provide customer service relevant to the situation if we are contacted immediately. It has been just under four weeks since your order was delivered and we would need to be notified when the issue occurred with photo evidence. By the time the balloons arrive to their destination, they have been inflated for almost 24 hours, been tested for faults in our Studio and gone through a 12+ hour transit period. We pack them in the best of boxes to arrive safely. All the best, Bloonaway

Thanks. The balloons were nice but were delivered a day late and I received no response when I followed up to request an update from you guys.....which leads me to believe that, despite the name at the foot of these messages, the messages are automated (I still haven't received a response 'amusingly'. Would have preferred some service and response but at least the balloons got there. Thanks

Hi Taz, On the basis of your review (which we were very sad to receive as we always strive for perfection) I have checked the system and can see that you placed your order on Saturday 15th February and selected the standard DPD service. This means your balloons were due to be prepared and dispatched on Monday 17th, to arrive on Tuesday 18th. Our system and the DPD tracking system shows them as delivered on that date. Can you please supply us with any information that shows they did not so that we can take this up with DPD direct? Apologies for not responding sooner to your message, we have moved premises over the weekend! Kind regards, Tilly

Hi Emma, Your order was delivered early, on Saturday rather than the Monday that you preferred. When you select the Free Delivery option, we point out that we dispatch your order 1 working day before your requested delivery date via Royal Mail 1st class. This usually arrives the next day but can take up to 3 working days. For birthdays and other time-sensitive occasions, we always recommend selecting the tracked option (currently priced at £3.95) for arrival on the nominated day. I suspect that if the balloons would have arrived later than your requested date, you would have left a similar review. You agree to the Free Shipping conditions twice during the checkout process and the information is also on your order confirmation, with an option to upgrade the shipping type at any time up to the day of dispatch.

Paid £23 for customising a name which was hand written and not even in bold letters. Disappointed

Hi Amina, I'm sorry to hear you were not completely satisfied with your purchase. A single balloon is currently priced at £11.99 and you added two sides of personalisation at £6 each, making your total £23.99. The single balloon has the featured design on both sides, so adding additional wording is only recommended when it's just something short like a name. Otherwise we recommend selecting a bunch which also includes some solid colour balloons. That way, your writing can be printed clearly. If you can't see a space to place the writing, then neither can we, and it will be really small. (This was suggested to you by the sales representative who took your order on the phone). All personalisation is added to the balloons digitally in various fonts and we never hand write on balloons. Kind regards, Tilly

Balloons looked amazing, delivery was perfect. I had them delivered two days before my sons birthday. I noticed when I finally took them out the box a few balloons inside the main ballon had deflated and some of them long ones too. 3 days after his birthday one of the helium has gone too. disappointing for the price and compared to balloons I’ve purchased in a shop the life span isn’t great. Lovely idea though.

Unfortunately the balloon was attempted at the time my aunt was at her 100th birthday bash between 2pm and 4pm so was not home to accept it. If the balloon was left with a neighbour that would have been great, but instead it went to Liskeard post office and she lives in Menheniot she could not get there so a neighbour picked it up when going in five days later.

Balloons didn't arrive. Shouldn't offer Royal Mail as delivery option. My fault I suppose

Hi Katrina, I'm sorry to hear that the balloons were delivered later than you had hoped. We do point out before you complete your purchase and again on your order confirmation that if you select the Royal Mail free service, your parcel is dispatched one day prior to your preferred delivery date via First Class post. About 95% of the parcels get successfully delivered the next day but the rest can take up to 3 working days (as it did in this case). We always recommend selecting the DPD tracked option for a nominal fee when timing is important, such as for birthdays or special occasions. We offer our customer a free Royal Mail option for balloon gifts with non-essential timing, like get well, balloons for new babies etc. We send dozens of parcels out each day with this service and will continue to offer it to our customers with the same notifications of timing that must be agreed to before completing the order. (If you are able to get to the restaurant where the balloons were delivered on 06/10, they may still have the balloons there!) Kind regards, Tilly

Balloons were not as described, cheap looking and not filled properly. They were sent as an apology bouquet but recipient was so disappointed with them, he actually ended the relationship when he saw them! Thanks Bloonaway

Hi Hannah, I'm sorry to hear that the balloons arrived in anything less than perfect condition. We truly care about the safe arrival of each and every balloon that leaves our warehouse and make every effort that it should reach the recipient intact...We use the best quality balloons, inflate with precision equipment, have a 'resting' period of several hours to detect micro faults, and package in strong double wall boxes for safe transit. Unfortunately, sometimes a tiny fault is not detectable until the air has escaped for over 12 hours or more, or the balloons get damaged in transit. In such cases, we have a policy to replace or refund your order (depending on the circumstances) if you contact us immediately and submit a photo of the balloons as they arrived. Your service was great - but the delivery service failed - when I called as no one was there to take it in you cannot speak to anyone only options on the phone!! The balloon is now in a shop somewhere to late for the birthday surprise. 😞 would of been nice to speak to have spoken to the delivery service as when sending to a friend I could not give permission to deliver to a neighbour. Shame nice idea if it had worked out.

Hi Linda, I'm sorry to hear that your friend didn't receive her balloon on her birthday. The phone number that you give us for the recipient receives a text message on the morning of the delivery telling them that DPD will deliver and will give a one hour delivery window plus a link for more options. There is no indication on the text message that it's from us so as not to spoil the surprise. If you put your own phone number in that field, there is no way for a recipient to know to expect anything or make the necessary arrangements if they won't be in. DPD are an international courier company and don't accept phone calls from customers. They only work with the standard options, for example 'leave with a neighbour' or 'in a safe place' and allow delivery instructions to be added. However, if you notice an issue has occurred with your delivery you can always contact us. As the sender we are usually able to be in touch with someone from DPD and try to sort out the issue if done so immediately. I can see from the shipment history that a redelivery request was made to go to a neighbour the next day. When DPD were unable to deliver there a redelivery request was made to a pickup shop. I hope you are able to let your friend know that it was delivered there yesterday and is waiting for her. All the best, Tilly

27/02/18 - My balloons were lost by DPD, so I tried calling the Bloonaway office on 020 8209 3110 around 10 times but there was no answer from anyone. I then got in contact with someone on the live chat, who advised they would speak to DPD and call me back. A gentleman called me, and told me that the balloons had been delivered to the address, which they hadn't, and told me to speak to the recipient again and text him to advise the outcome. I had to text him due to him being "out of the office" and wont answer his phone to a call, only a text. I text him to advise that I needed info asap but I had no response again that day or the day after!!! Appalled by the service.

Hi Lucy, I'm sorry that this experience hasn't worked out for you. We have 4 ways in which customers can contact us; phone, email, chat and contact form. We were not available on the phone from 2:15pm that day, and as soon as you chatted with us (at 3:06pm) someone responded in under a minute. After calling you and discussing the issue twice, we provided you with a mobile number to text since the entire team were decorating a function and it was too noisy to talk and the reception was bad at the venue. The balloons you ordered were addressed to a guest at a hotel. They were delivered there by DPD at 11:43am. A GPS tracker updated that evening shows the driver at the correct location. We see no reason to believe that he did not deliver the balloons once he was there. The hotel would have to verify that not one of their numerous staff and porters signed for the parcel. My colleague called DPD 3 times. The first time they could not get hold of the driver. The second time (an hour later) they reached the driver and he confirmed that he had been at that hotel and delivered. He called again in the morning once the tracker had been updated and received the confirmation again that the driver had been at the correct address at the time on the delivery confirmation from DPD. He then attempted to reach you twice on your phone (on the 28th) but there was no answer. Assuming that you would have contacted us again if the balloons had not been found, we did not try to contact you a third time.

Hi Nina, I'm so sorry to hear that your balloon arrived in anything less than perfect condition. The balloons are supposed to last a really long time. Every so often there is a fault in a balloon that allows the helium to escape. This is usually detected before the balloon is packed, but on very rare occasions the hole is so tiny that it takes hours and hours before a change is noticeable. We truly care about the safe arrival of your balloons. We are here to rectify a situation if we are contacted. All the best, Tilly
