Arrived two days late !!! So this was a pointless purchase for my sons Birthday who is currently on lock down at university and unable to celebrate with ourselves and his friends. Very disappointed and a complete waste of money. You may blame the post but you should have sent it earlier to insure it arrived on time.

Hello Jill, I am sorry to hear that Royal mail have not delivered your order on the date you hoped for. As a business we are very aware of the issues that Royal mail sometimes face at peak trading periods and therefore make it very clear at several points during the customer transaction process that if you require a specific dated delivery our suggested method at present is with our DPD tracked service. To avoid disappointment, we have even gone so far as to create a separate box at checkout reminding each customer of the challenges Royal Mail are facing because we hate our customers being let down in anyway. We always provide full tracking information to our customers based on the service they select and log each complaint internally so that we can take this up personally with Royal Mail. Sadly, they have been clear with us that if you chose delivery with them this this is not a guaranteed next day nor tracked service. We dispatch a customers order 1 working day prior to selected delivery date for optimal results, regardless of how far in advance you have ordered them (again this is stated clearly on our website) If any customer wishes to have their order dispatched earlier than this we are always happy to try and help if they contact us beforehand, the difficulty with sending out orders prior to 1 day dispatch is that some may arrive earlier than the desired date and then spoil the surprise for the recipient. I hope that you understand that Royal Mail aspect of the delivery is somewhat out of our control, but we always do our best to give the best possible service. Warm wishes Tilly

Balloon arrived 2 days early ruining a surprise for my granddaughter’s birthday. Despite emailing to enquire why this happened no one has had the courtesy to explain.

Hello Gaile, Our couriers explained that in order to keep on top of all the deliveries during the current situation, they sometimes escalate Monday deliveries to a Saturday or Sunday. Hello Neha, We were disappointed to read your review and of course your balloon should not have arrived in this condition. Unfortunately, sometimes a tiny fault is not detectable until the air has escaped for over 12 hours or more or the balloon gets damaged in transit. We always advise our customers to check the balloons upon arrival to see if they are all in perfect condition and to contact us immediately so we can rectify the issue (see T&C's) We cannot see an email from you and so on this occasion we were unable to make this right. I expected the writing of my nieces name on the balloon to be a lot bigger than it was. I was very disappointed with the size. Also, the STICKERS weren’t stuck on properly so it was peeling off which is ridiculous. I paid £30 for a balloon, I would expect whoever made it to put more effort in.

I wish my review was of positive notes . But very disappointed balloons were poorly inflated pretty pathetic . Received them beginning of week I only opened box yesterday for the birthday bash .. gutted .. usually good helium balloons last and look good for ages they didn’t even start .

You sent the wrong balloon. I ordered a balloon with an elephant on it and the recipient got a teddy bear. Only found out yesterday when we video called them. Very disappointed, especially considering the cost.

I have been in contact with DPD and they have explained that your address was not accurate and that they have also attempted to deliver to the address given twice, but no one was in at the time. I had ordered an 80th Birthday bouquet for my Dad, as I wanted to give him some positive surprises, seeing as we would be unable to have the family party that we'd originally planned this year due to Covid-19. The day before they were due to arrive, I was emailed to say that there were 'supplier issues' and the bouquet I'd ordered was no longer available. The alternatives offered in no way matched the original order (for which I had paid over £33), but I made a selection and hoped for the best. What arrived was a total disappointment. One of the balloons was almost totally deflated and drooping onto the floor. The text was small and in one line, appearing like a cheap afterthought. I had to witness this via a video call which was incredibly upsetting and took the edge of what should have been a celebration. When I emailed to advise Bloonaway of this, I received a polite response suggesting my next order would be wonderful. Needless to say, I shall not be ordering anything from Bloonaway again and will be actively discouraging friends and family to avoid them.

I’ve ordered it to arrive for my husbands bday on 18th it arrived on 16th and my husband opened it 2 days prior his bday. If in the email from DPD it would say your Bloonaway parcel is on its way I would know and at least tried to re-schedule, as in the lockdown a lot of parcels arrive as that’s the only way to buy stuff!! I was very disappointed

Hello Daria, As a business, we have produced and dispatched your order as expected from us. Anything delivery related is completely the couriers responsibility. We dispatched your order on Friday the 15th (as we do with all Saturday/Monday deliveries) for it be delivered on Monday the 18th and your order was automatically selected for it to be processed as a £4.95 DPD Tracked delivery which would mean that you should have received it on that selected date of the 18th. Your order was not placed for a Saturday delivery which would mean that this is a DPD issue as you would usually have to pay extra to receive it on the weekend date. Once the balloons have been received by the courier, unfortunately we can no longer accept liability for the delivery of the parcel. If you have any questions regarding the delivery of your order, then you will need to forward this to DPD as it was requested for them deliver on the Monday. Our balloons are loved by 98% of our customers, beautifully packaged, tied to a ribbon, ornamental weight and inflated with helium. Regards, TIlly

Hi Sarah, On the basis of your review (which we were very sad to receive as we always strive for perfection) I have checked the system and can see that you selected the First Class Royal Mail service for delivery on the 10th of April (which was a Bank Holiday). Your balloons were prepared and dispatched on the 9th of April, to arrive on the next available date. Being Good Friday on the 10th, it wouldn't have arrived on that date as the courier does not deliver for Easter Bank Holiday Friday. As stated before you select a delivery service, we dispatch the day before the selected delivery date. In your case we dispatched day before the 10th. Royal Mail have notified us that due to the current global pandemic that services will be disrupted for the time being. Royal Mail aim to deliver all First Class parcels the next day but this free service is not guaranteed, nor tracked. If you have a question about a delivery, please contact your local post office and please also read our Shipping T&C's on the BloonAway website for further information. We always recommend selecting the tracked delivery option (currently priced at £3.95) and not the Free Delivery if the balloons are for a milestone. This way, the delivery date is guaranteed and if a parcel goes astray, there is full GPS tracking available from the delivery driver so we can rectify this. Ordered balloon 10 days ago. Still not here. Birthday gone a week aho! Spent 4 times the price of what I would have paid in store and the follow up customer service is non existent. No compensation as I didn’t use DPD for delivery, which is note made clear enough at the checkout. It says the balloon will be dispatched the day before and gives you an actual delivery date. By the time we get it it will most likely be deflated as it’s been out for 9 days already. Will not be ordering again. Feel I have been utterly ripped off. £11.99 for a basic age 11 round balloon!

Hello Sarah, We are sorry to hear you are unhappy, but due to the current global pandemic, delivery services with Royal Mail will be disrupted although your order will still be delivered. This pandemic and disruption to services is completely out of our control and we would love to deliver your balloons Next Day as per usual, but in the short-term, this is very difficult for all businesses due to the virus effecting delivery services. We are operating and dispatching as usual but once Royal Mail have the parcel then they need to deliver it on the selected date. As stated though, this will not always be possible at the moment due the pandemic effecting their services. Also, our balloons are premium quality inflated with helium, tied to a bow and packed wonderfully where we look to provide positivity and happiness to the recipients day. We always look to deliver on the required day and once the pandemic has been managed then Royal Mail services will be as normal. Regards, Tilly
