PG tips tea bags: There were on the shelf two different boxes One type marked 240 (bags) at £3.75, the Other marked 240 (bags) + 50% free. They were not priced. Obviously I picked up the +50% free version but I was still charged £3.75. The box contained 240bags. This could be a marketing department con trick by PG, but I suspect that it is a rip off by B&M. The price should ofcourse have been that for 160 bags.

I purchased a multi pack of diet coca cola and 2 mint twirl wafers. Totalling £6.20. Came home and found they were out of date!!!! What is no one checking dates?!?!?!?!. The twirls were out of date with 2 different dates!!! This is the Mansfield, stockwell gate store. Next visit I went to the Mansfield baums lane store, big mistake, the staff up there were not to be found, ( at least the stockwell gate store had pleasant staff) and when they were they didn't seem bothered.!

Bought some Spear &Jackson fence paint, which on opening the first tub, was like water, you couldn't even see it on the fence panels. Returned to the store with it and was told, by one employee, I could not return opened ones. I explained it was not fit for purpose, but he still argued. Another member of staff intervened and said, yes it could be refunded for. Maybe a bit of comprehensive training for all staff, on consumer rights, should be done. Word of warning, Spear and Jackson fence coat is useless.

No problems with the staff who were quite sympathetic to my plight. My issue with B&M is that they do not answer the phone and there is no way of checking the availability of stock unless you go inshore. I do not drive and both of my "local" B&M stores are inaccessible without taking several buses or buses and trains. This is frustrating as it costs several pounds to get there only to find the product required is unavailable and no one can tell you when the items will actually be in stock... in this instance 5 VISITS LATER!!! and still no large Cornish stones.... I got a friend to bring all they had at a store near to them (NW10) around 20 to add to the 20 I had bought which is not enough. Probably need another 20/30. I have a garden project which I have started and may not be able to finish. 😡😡😡 Feeling angry, frustrated and out of pocket as each trip costs around £4/£5 there and back.

I am sick & tired of seeing 'deals'on the B & M web site only for the Rom Valley Way branch in Romford (RM1), Essex NEVER to have ANY of the items!!! 😠 The 1st time I wanted the car shampoo deal which was £5, the one with a sponge, (wasn't bothered about the sponge) but NO, sure enough they didn't have it, I visited again today to get TEN (10) bottle of VK alcohol drink (70 ml, Blue & pink flavour) but NO!!! AGAIN they didn't have them, I checked again for the Car Shampoo but, you guessed it...NOPE, I doubt they have never had it in, an item was on the shelves with a label stating 'not yet priced', why put the item out on the shelf then? The Porraige pots I also went in for were NOT priced, I walked to the front (AGAIN) to find out how much they are (39p each), when I went to pay for my shopping I double checked the price of them (even though it was the same person), I was then told they were ALSO THREE for £1, (didn't mention that the 1st time of asking!!!) so I went back to get some more (something I don't like doing as it holds people up), FIVE tiles but ONLY TWO open, the queue was VERY long. Is it JUST that branche? Even some staff told me that you can't always take the information about stock availability as correct!! It's got to the point I am not sure wether to bother visiting ever again. 😡.

I have just got back from a visit to the new B & M in Kidderminster. Firstly, which committee decided to make all the trolleys token proof? In a time where contactless payment is preferred, people do not necessarily have a pound coin with them. As a result I struggled round with a basket trying to avoid people roaming around with their face masks worn with their noses uncovered - presumably they find face masks uncomfortable - try wearing a ventilator then. It might prove even more uncomfortable. The store is seriously understaffed leading to huge queues in narrow aisles, again making social distancing impossible. Queuing behind a member of B&M staff in a queue was an education in all that showed how poorly managed this store is; They were queuing as a member of the public at the end of their shift, but still in uniform and without a mask. This was common in this store by the way, you just needed to know the few staff about as a friend/acquaintance. The said member of staff was oblivious to the need to comply with social distancing, ignoring the clear lines for 2m distancing and standing directly behind a poor lady trying to unload her shopping onto the conveyor belt. Before she had even paid, the member of staff was unloading her stuff. They then proceeded to lean across to chat with the cashier, behind the perspex screen. Dominic Cummings could not have flouted more rules in such a short space of time. I gave the store two stars, however, as opposed to none because it was clean and well laid out.

Hi,I am one of the many in isolation, going shopping just once a week! Not hoarding! I was told in your Immingham store on Friday that I may have only two loads of bread for my husband and myself for a week! As my husband is a key worker and I have three conditions that I need to be in isolation for, coming out more than once a week would be irresponsible and down right stupid. I think that looking at what I had in my trolley should have told the assistant that I was buying by need and not hoarding! I had three loafs for a week ! That is insane !

Visit the Shrewsbury Harlescott store quite regularly for occasional bits. Nearly every single time I visit I am not spoken to at the till, never get even a 'hello'. Usually I have to wait for the member of staff to finish their conversation with either a friend in the store or a colleague before they scan my items despite there being no-one else in the queue, and reluctantly as it's made clear the conversation is far more interesting than doing their job. My items are then cast to the end of the packing area, a hand held out for payment and usually not a thank you afterwards. I work in customer service, if I acted like this even for one shift, I would lose my job. Disgusting 'service'.

Went to the new B&M in Northampton by Morrisons yesterday. Overall, it was tidy and stocked up (as you would expect for a new store) but not much choice particularly on kitten food. The few products that they had were blocked off by a pallet (literally pressed against the shelving) that a member of their staff was distributing across the aisle. Extremely disappointed with his unwillingness to make it a better shopping experience for customers... He looked at me as he saw my trying to look 'through' him to see what kitten food they had and didn't offer to move the pallet even after hearing me say to my bf "I can't see what they've got". He then cracked on with his job and what I didn't understand was, why couldn't he move it when it was placed in the middle of a very long aisle, and he was stocking up the end of the aisle (surely he could have saved himself the extra journey each time!?)… So first impressions, not great.
