“Horrible customer service. DO NOT USE. If you want to be able to return the book after purchase do not use this site. If you are okay with receiving the book no matter how damaged it is then go ahead. When trying to resolve an issue with a book they simply turned me to the seller rather than mediating.”

“Rented a textbook and returned it on time in good condition. Got charged $125 for damages. There were no tears or anything, just some creasing around edges. These are the photos they sent to show "damage"”

“Disappointed in the process. I sent in two good books (Real Talk for Teachers) and (Lambeau Field). Lambeau Field was worth between $1 & $2. I was paid nothing. I actually almost decided not to send it since it was in great shape and I am a Packers fan. Since I needed to downsize my book collection, I decided to sell it. Not only did I not get any money for the books, I did not receive them back. I will not be using Books Run again.”

“The process they claim is paid out 1 to 3 days after they receive your book. It's been two weeks and and even with emails back and forth they still haven't paid me yet. I for one would not recommend this service to anyone.”

“This is a complete and utter scam. I had a textbook in pristine condition. It had never been used. I unwrapped it from its previous packaging and sent it directly to BooksRun. After several days of waiting they assess my book and claim it is "damaged". The $42 I was initially offered is now at zero. And if I want my book returned I have to pay them $5. Just their way of trying to keep my textbooks for free. Do not use this as a source for reselling your textbooks.”

“Sale prices to BooksRun are about 1/8th of actual used value, and upon reciept they will at their discretion reduce the value to zero or charge you shipping to send it back. The time it takes to process the books, ship, and deal with BooksRun, is not worth it at all. It is strongly suggested to sell locally, donate, or recycle the books.”

“My check never arrived for my buyback order. It has been a week since the listed latest date for check arrival. I called customer support multiple times during business hours and my calls were not answered. I sent an email as well to customer support and got no answer.”
