Do not go to Boots for your hearing aids I have had many problems with mine on My last visit I was promised a temporary pair as I am struggling without any. I went to the Grimsby branch on the 5th of October and stiĺ have not heared a thing since. I played a lot of money for them and feel like I am being ignored. So I would not recommend Boots to any of my friends and told to go somewhere else

My Phonak hearing aid is better than NHS.I have both, the Nhs being only2 weeks old,and the audiologist at Specsavers, who supplied the Nhs aid said that the Phonak was better even though NHS model is made by pHONAK. Service at Boots is appalling. There are only a handful of audiologists spread around quite wide areas.I had to travel some distance to get battery replaced. It is so much easier to get an appt at Specsavers.Having said that the audiologists I have seen have been extremely good and helpful. Special thanks to Keith for Delivering tv connector to my home I think ,on reflection that I could have got a cheaper aid had I looked around and should I need to replace would do so.

Attended for wax removal. One ear Ok, no work needed. Other ear wax removed taking no more that 15 minutes for whole 2 ear procedure. Cost £50, whether 1 or 2 ears treated; it should be less than that for only one ear surely. I feel overcharged. Then went on to strongly suggest a hearing test. It showed some detioration in my range of hearing, not surprisingly as I am in my late 70s, but I am quite content that my hearing is perfectly adequate for my needs. As 45 minutes were allocated for the appointment it looks abundantly clear that Boots were looking to spend time selling me hearing aids costing thousands of pounds on the back of having me as a captive audience for my wax removal procedure. Not impressed with this approach. I wonder how much commission was inolved?

Having been told last week that their will be no further six month checkups made and just to ring up when I need to see someone. May I suggest that these calls could be free, I have to pay £1-01 a minute and Boots must be saving money by doing this.
