From what I've been reading BudgetAir is managed by Travix International BV (in short, Travix) with company head quarters in Amsterdam, Holland. Travix was however acquired or taken over by Trip.com Group which is based in Shanghai, China at the beginning of this year. This therefore means that somebody new is now running the BudgetAir show and if we are now playing by Chinese rules then good luck with getting a refund if you recently purchased tickets and your flights were cancelled. I'm actually down by 18 Malaysia Airline tickets purchased from BudgetAir with no apparent way to contact them as of now, will book directly next time, no more third party agents. BTW, Trip.com Group also operates Skyscanner which is another third party agent selling plane tickets, so BEWARE!!! The above information can be verified via Wikipedia.

No customer service at all. Our refund was transferred back to BudgetAir by Etihad (due to covid cancellation).... and BudgetAir has embezzed the money ... gave no answers for more than 10 weeks and they finally directed me back to Etihad - who obviously turned us back to BudgetAir..... Never again! Stay away from these thieves!!

DO NOT USE THEM OR BOOK EMIRATES with them neither will refund your money flights cancelled 20th March Budget tell me Emirates have our money Emirates tell me Budget have to request it back then give it to us. It's made me ill trying to get it back.

DO NOT use this service - Gulf airline cancelled my flight and I have been trying to rebook the flights, no one seems to be responding back to me - I have emailed them several times but no response. I have lost my money as they haven't refunded the money for cancellation and now I have to rebook my ticket

It's been over a month since I canceled my ticket due to coronavirus, and even though the airlines canceled my flight around the end of March, I still haven't got their response or money back. No customer service via the phone or social media. I start feeling like they are not going to give me my money back and it's going to be a long fight. I am dealing with this company for the first and last time.

Requested a refund due to a flight being cancelled and 4 weeks on I am still waiting no response I have started debit card dispute trying to recover this but also I will report them to the authority. Delay is fine but no response is absolutely not reasonable

As all other reviews an absolute shambles of a company. Would recommend to also a raise a dispute via your card company to see if they can recover the costs as it won't be coming through this company. All reviews that have been shared accurately reflect no response, no refund and no support to change flights.

We are stranded in Australia because of them. Tried to contact them on 15th March (and thereafter) to change our tickets to get home. Emirates agreed we could but it had to be done through Budget air. In the meantime everything locked down. Eventually we got a generic email telling us everything was gonna be alright, advising us to check their website and, believe it or not, trying to sell us another holiday in the future. It ended with let’s make dreams together. Nightmares would be more accurate. We found out off Emirates that the flight had been cancelled- no notification from BudgetAir. Their website told us that if our flight was cancelled we should not contact them but we would automatically get vouchers in a few weeks time. Vouchers won’t get us home. We have had to pay £1200 each for a repatriation flight when we could have got home for about £100 extra if we had been able to change our Emirates booking. What happened was unexpected and unprecedented but BudgetAir were caught with their pants down. If things go wrong they won’t help you. Book direct with the airline in future

Left stranded in Australia, Budgetair will not respond to emails Singapour Airline flight cancelled due to CV Airline won’t help as their website states I have to go thru agent I booked with SIA will change ticket to open date but instruction must come from agent who cancelled my booking after I emailed and asked to change to open ticket- SIA site shows booking has been cancelled Left worried and no help, shocking company DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM

Do not ... I repeat do not book with budget air...they have taken my money and refund protect insurance and have been unreachable since... the airline is issuing full refunds due the Covid pandemic.. yet I have been left completely in the dark .. the will take your money and leave you without communication. Awful and shameful thieving...never again!

Absolute scammers, they sold me a ticket and it was cancelled 72 hours later and now intending to reschedule, recommend just initiating a chargeback for services not provided

They do NOT deserve any stars. I had to give them at least one so that I can tell ppl how rubbish the Budgetair is. Never buy tickets from them! Yes, coronavirus is causing all airlines problems. But how can you leave customers requests unanswered and just act as if you are doing whatever you can by sending automatic emails for three times 90% all the same? Glad at the end our airline solved the problems for us. They are not meant to but they did it. SHAME ON YOU BUDGETASS

I booked my flight from them. The worst customer service ever....Tried to reach them 15 days before my flight, didnt even got a single proper response. Sent them email everyday to both the indian customer service center as well as canadian center and I got all the automatic replies back except the 2 response I got which were like for changing flight you have to pay, every flight has their own changing fee and if you want to change call us.And when you call them the automatic reply over there is due to coronavirus outbreak, we are experiencing higher volume send us email. Where the hell should one go in this case. I even paid extra for Service Package Premium when I bought the ticket which allows me to waive the administrative fee. Its better to book flight either from direct airlines website or some better website.

SCAM SCAM , they give you an option to cancel flight within 24 hours but when you call them, they pick up the phone in less than 1 min. BUT then they put you through to cancelation department which they put you on hold for 3 to 4 hours . they do this so you don't have no chance of solving the issue . thats cheap technic to scamming people .so disappointed and very costly
