“I was sent the wrong item (a cheaper product) and was unhappy with the presentation box as it was too large for the tankard. I decided to keep the tankard that you sent in error, as I did not have time to wait for a replacement, and asked for the difference to be refunded which was agreed by one of your staff (who also offered a refund on the box), which I accepted. The communication from your staff was prompt and courteous, but I was initially only refunded part of that due. However, the error (when pointed out) was corrected quickly.”

Hi Deborah, I'm sorry to hear the tankard wasn't perfect. Sometimes polish dries on the tankard which leaves a black mark but this can be washed off with soap and water. If it doesn't please let me know and I'll arrange a replacement for you. ~Rachel

“I bought this as a gift for my son. I liked the shape but was disappointed in the handle which I thought was insubstantial considering the weight of the tankard and it's a bit ugly where the handle joins the glass. I'm worried that when the glass is full of liquid it will be difficult to hold.”

“I received the tankards in very good time, but one of the handles (1 out of 5) was already broken off upon opening the box. It would be nice to also know how large, or the size of, the print on an emblem made for the tankard to give an estimate of what would be to small to see. Otherwise, a good product that I would go to again assuming action was taken to prevent the aforementioned problems.”

Hi Alison, Thanks so much for taking the time to leave us your feedback! We are so sorry to her you are not happy with your engraving. Normally we do leave the size of text up to the engraver and he can size this appropriate to the amount of engrvaing space he has and the amount of text requested. “The Tankard is great, as is the engraving. However, the tankard is incorrectly advertised as a 1 pint tankard when it is, in fact a 1 and a 1/4 pint tankard. It also has no imperial markings for a 1 pint of beer, therefore cannot be legally used in a pub/club which is where I wanted to use it. I have reported this to your team (Samantha) who is looking into this matter with your manufacturers. As stated, I am happy with the Tankard, happy with the way Samantha is dealing with the issue in a polite and professional way but unhappy with the inaccuracies in your advertisement. Hi Anne, Thanks for your email. I'm glad it was a well received gift. Modern pewter is lighter than people expect due to it being made mainly from tin rather than lead as with old pewter (and very bad for you!). ~Rach

Hi Jason, Thanks for your review. Pewter is a light material (It's made from tin) so does feel lighter than people may expect. Old pewter was made from lead so would have been heavier but very dangerous. To combat that we do sell a range of heavy weight tankards to add the extra weight to the tankards. ~Rach

“Dealing with the sales team was an easy and pleasant process. Sorting out the engraving was simple and the advice was invaluable. The proofs were efficient and timely. Once the order was placed and it was passed to the engravers in Middlesbrough things started to go wrong. The order arrived at my office in Manchester and the personalised engraving on each tankard had been omitted. The order was redone and in order to save time it was sent to my home address near Skipton. It was sent to Manchester! I had to drive over to collect it on a Friday afternoon, the day of the award dinner that the tankards were for, a round trip of just under 3 hours, to collect them. Unfortunately one of the awards was incorrect again. I had to explain it to the winner and as he is a close friend, it was OK, although it made me look inefficient. I appreciate a replacement with the correct inscription is being resent. However, the sales team were excellent, apologetic and understanding of my annoyance, and whilst they shouldered the blame, the error was with the engravers. I was pleased with the product though and would certainly use you again, although might not be happy to use the same engravers without some reassurance. Regards, Chris Smith”

Engraving very good and well pôsitioned. sadly tankard itself not finished well with blemishes along seam at bottom in places, looks as if it needs an idustrial polish to even out slight metal defects.
