“The process of buying and agreeing the engraving was good as was the turn around. However, the standard of the pewter tankard was poor I felt. After making a complaint and sending photos I was told that 'As they are all hand made they do inevitably have small marks that are left over from the manufacturing process, which makes each item individual. As a rule, we tend to accept the product from the manufacturer if their own quality control has passed it as satisfactory.' So, be warned! As this was a present for someone I was not happy.”

“The wine goblet is good quality but so small, in fact ornamental in nature rather than functional. Probably my fault for not looking in detail but it’s not big enough to enjoy a glass of wine at night. I’m going to have to buy another as a result as it’s for a 50th birthday?”

“Made the order and it got dispatched but still not delived, royal mail said its been delivered so my order is still in dispute so as it was a gift ive had to go else where.”

“Arrived quickly but I did ask for it to be engraved but when it arrived all it had on it was “50” being as we needed it that weekend we decided not to return it & just give it to the person as it was - we were very disappointed as it would have been a nice touch to have some sort of engraving on it & I thought it was quite expensive for the tankard with no engraving on it.”

I have checked the order and can see it arrived with no notes and the area where we ask you to enter what you would like us to engrave was left blank. We therefore engraved the tankard as per our design template and assumed you just wanted just our design and the age. Apologies if that is not what you wanted but there was nothing to tell us otherwise.

“I bought a tankard for my grandson ,which was engraved with his name ..... looked lovely but on further inspection was scratched . Ashame really but did not return as needed for christening .”

“I ordered an engraved tankard, and specifically ask for my friends name to be in larger font than the rest of the message, which it wasn't. When I emailed to them I just got an apology for their human error. Not great service.”

“The tankard was bought as a birthday gift and despatched to the USA; arriving in double-quick time: despatched Monday, arrived Wednesday. It will not be opened for some days so cannot comment on the quality.”

“Dispatched very quickly, shame the engraving was so small compared to the size of the tankard, I would have liked it 200 percent larger, they could have asked before sending it out.”

“There was a delay in receipt (not 2/3 days delivery) that made us miss giving the tankard on the occasion of a grandson's baptism. A minor flaw was seen but too much hassle to repack and return.”

“Very disappointed Tankard was well packed but, on opening was damaged.... The lid did not fit.... Luckily it's a Christmas present so have returned it today for replacement. I do hope this time the replacement is checked before despatched. Do you have any quality control?”

“The tankard arrived in good shape and in a timely manner. Packaging was good. After inspecting the tankard I found that there were a number of black smudges, it appeared that the tankard was never wiped clean after making (factory film and grime). The good thing was that after a fair amount of elbow grease and washing three times all of the grime came off. One other thing, I ordered the presentation box as well but that seems much too large, like for a 2 liter tankard not the 1 liter that was ordered, not really worth making a fuss over though.”

“It's well made and attractive but I'm afraid it is useless for drinking wine from as the metal affects the taste to a disastrous level; my fault I suppose for not looking into it carefully but that fact is a more than a little disappointing. Shame because the item itself looks just as I wanted.”

Hey Martin, We're so sorry that you're not 100% happy with your new goblet. Drinking wine from pewter can have a slight effect on the taste. Its perhaps more suited to ale or beer. Hopefully you'll still be able to put this to good use though. - Sam

“The product is good quality and I am pleased with the engraving. However on my order I specifically asked to preview the engraving before it was done and this was ignored. I am happy with the tankard I received but I would have been most annoyed if it had not been what I expected.”

“Tankard looks great. Customer service was great. Only problem is it says DATIE instead of DATE. Not sure whether its hand done or by machine, but either way I guesss it's the kind of error you wouldn't expect.”

I can see you've selected the 3oz version which is one of our smallest tankards which holds approx 85ml. This commonly bought for christening or new baby gifts as a cute little keepsake.
