“Was looking for a Nikon D500 body - a new camera and not yet commonly available. Calumet website offered pre-order, so I spoke to Alex in the local (Glasgow) office who said he would place one on order for me. Got an e-mail two days later saying they had located one and would let me know when it was available for collection. Result - a camera in my hands within 5 days which allowed me to get familiar with it before a special event about 6 weeks later. Well done Calumet, Alex and his colleagues in Glasgow office. I should add that I have had many similar experiences of such service from Calumet Glasgow - Well done to all involved. Much appreciated - wouldn't go anywhere else for equipment and reliable informed advice. Many thanks.”

“I bought a used 7d body. I was able to phone and truest an accurate shutter count and condition of the body. The item was described as good condition. The item arrived the next day and it was in better condition than I expected. I would describe it as excellent condition. Really happy with my purchase”

“I had been looking for a softbox which attached to a speedlite somewhat half- heartedly for some time, when one Sunday an email appeared announcing the Hahnel Softbox 60 kit was on offer at half price. I could hardly believe my eyes, and was almost on the point of travelling up to Manchester to buy them. The offer was for delivery via mail order, so I ordered two of them straight away. They arrived, very well packed and in quick time. I am delighted with them and am only sorry that I didn't take up the earlier offer of purchasing two lighting stands.”

“well i use calumet mainly for the service and the hands on freedom i get when looking at products sort of try before you buy and also the returns service is great i know i can get products online cheaper but i do prefer face to face contact”

“Easy to buy product online. Pre-ordered item. Customer Service A1. was told when to expect delivery. Item went up in price after I pre-ordered it. But was charged price at time of order. Cant fault sevice..”

“First time of using Calument photographic. The wed site was easy to use and navigate. The product I ordered arrived in good time and was packaged very well to avoid damage in during delivery. The product was exactly as show and described on the web site. In all I was very happy with the service I received”

“Calumet seem to be the last of the Highstreet Photographers. In my early days as a photographer every town had a camera shop which employed photographers who knew about cameras and photography. Now, sadly, with instant, digital photography, most of them seem to have vanished and have been replaced with bland stores concentrating on sales figures. Calumet is virtually the last of the real camera shops. During my last visit I was treated as a person, had a lively discussion on the subject of variable ND filters, given some useful advice and a coffee and relieved of over £1300. None of those would have happened in one of the other shops!”

“in a world of online purchases with customer support generally being unfamiliar with the products and unacknowledged, Calumet is vastly different! an actual store with real people who love photography & are photographers. try the gear, ask any questions and get real advice from people not pushy to make a sale.”

“There are a lot of things that I'm happy to buy online but expensive photo equipment is not one of them. Calumet have always given me great advice, and their test drive programme that lets you test equipment before buying means that you can buy with confidence, knowing that the tool does what you want. Buying from the same place as I rent equipment from is helpful because I get to see the same staff and know what I'm getting. Their prices are also excellent and I've not paid any more when buying through them than for the same item from my previously preferred online retailer.”
