Subject: Complaint Regarding Toronto Lakeshore Store Dear Canadian Tire Customer Service, On May 28, 2025, approximately 10 minutes before closing time, I visited your Toronto Lakeshore location intending to purchase tennis balls. I was told that there was a limit of 50 units per customer. However, I pointed out that the online purchase limit was 99 units. Despite this, the store staff refused to proceed with the sale. What was more concerning was the attitude of the customer service representative, who responded in an extremely rude and arrogant manner, saying: “Even if you place an order online, we will cancel it. We are a store, and we sell however much we want.” This kind of behavior is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the Canadian Tire brand. I believe that a review of the store’s security footage and audio from that date and time will clearly confirm what occurred. It is deeply disappointing to experience such disrespect as a customer. Owning or managing a store should not give anyone the right to treat customers as they please. I trust that Canadian Tire will take this matter seriously and conduct a proper investigation. I look forward to your response and to hearing what actions will be taken to address this issue. Sincerely,

I have spent 2 weeks trying to get warranty or any kind of help with a product purchased at a Canadian Tire store! Canadian Tire supports non brand products on their shelves but does nothing to assist the consumer after the product has been bought from them. Very frustrating!!!

Canadian tire sells cheap products. Bought 2 different items at different occasions but both ended up with an exchange. Its odd that Canadian tire requires customer official ID to facilitate an exchange/return. Seemed like all the customers were trying to cheat them !!! If there is an option, I dont want to shop at Canadian tire at all

You accepted a returned generator with a missing part. Then, you simply put it back in the box, re-taped it and sold it to me as if it was brand new. I live out of town, had to drive 3 hours, unload and unpack the generator with oil spilling out everywhere including my carpet. It came with a note taped to the motor, "Stolen oil cap??" (See Pic). I am in my late 70's & the box is +100 pounds. ...So What Now?

I was at Canadian tire today May 5/25 and was very disappointed in the fact that you only had American travel mugs - do you not understand Canadians are boycotting American products. We don’t care if it’s made in china but if it’s made for an American company in China we care

Very deceiving Loyalty reward program. They decide when you can spending you money earned from loyalty. And don't dare ask why that is. Then they say you are welcome to shop somewhere else. Home Hardware has a lot better treatment of their loyal customer so I will take their advice.

No point in purchasing power tools made by CTC. You can never ever get parts. CTC doesn't want to provide parts for the tools they sell this is straight out of their customer service. This is the scam they have. This is the way Canadian Tire corporation sells new tools to people. Most other tools like, makita, Dewalt,Milwaukee etc carry parts for their trusted tools. Sad!

if you have maximum tools from Canadian Tire that you bought a while ago and don't have a receipt consider your lifetime guarantee null and void, they would not replace my Broken tool even though you can clearly see the maximum logo, don't know of anyone else that sells this brand, Canadian Tire used be my go to store but they've really gone downhill and clearly only care about making money for there investors and not for all the people that put them on thew map.

Since Canadian Tire will no longer accept cash payments towards their credit card account balances at their cashiers, I will no longer use their card and will shop elsewhere.

I went to the location in Etobicke on the Queensway yesterday. I politey asked a sales person where I could find an item and she was very rude. she roller her eyes at me as if I was bothering her. This is her job!!!!! Then I went to check out and the sales clerk was also rude. I asked about the return policy and he was very dismissive and again made me feel like I was bothering him. I will never shop at Canadian Tire! I have gone there as couple of times and never received good service.

Return policy is sucks. We bought a battery operated snow blower which is ego. We read the reviews about it and according to reviews it is a good brand. It is all lie, we used the snow blower the next day after we bought and not even an hour, the battery is already dead. We are not satisfied with the product and we are trying to return it to CANADIAN TIRE where we bought the item. We packed it properly and there's no damage or problem it is just that the product doesn't do the job. But, unfortunately the store doesn't accept the return, it's their policy is sucks! How would you know the product is good or not, if you are not going to open the box and try it????? We are one of the loyal customers in this company, and this is the first time ever we are returning the item ever and it is so dissappointing. We will never ever go to this store at all.

Beware of Canadian Tire’s return policy before making a purchase. Once a product is opened, they will not accept a return or offer store credit. Instead, you are required to exchange it for an item of equal or higher value, which may force you to buy something you don’t need. Same products are available in Walmart and Costco with great return policy.

I went to the Canadian Tire Automotive department on Kenaston Blvd Winnipeg at the end of January 25, 2025 to get a flat tire looked at and possibly purchasing a new one. There were 2 male employees, one sitting at a desk ignoring customers and the other doing nothing but walking back for from his computer to the office. I stood there for a period of time without being acknowledged, another customer told me to be vocal otherwise I would continue to be ignored, found the employee to be rude and not very helpful, just quickly brushed me off. Was very disappointed as I was also from out of town. I will never return to this location for any reason again.

I won't shop at my local Canadian Tire because of their backpack policy. It is discriminatory based on socio-economic status and preference to environmentally conscious individuals who choose not to drive. Furthermore, if you don't trust me with my bag which I intend to fill with purchases, I don't trust you with my bag. Simple as.

On January 21st 2025 I purchased a Noma baseboard heater from 3553 Lawrence Ave East. I arrived home excited to put on my baseboard heater. I removed it from the box to hear parts moving inside. After plugging it in it shows a light to say unit is on. Trying to raise the temperature, nothing. I feel that the baseboard heater was purchased by someone else who in turn broke it and returned it. If this is the case why, didn't anyone from Canadian Tires inspect the return. Or it can be the shipping fault that these heaters weren't cared for. Whatever the case may be I'm not a happy camper. Now I have to return for a full refund and NEVER to shop at Canadian tires ever again. I fail Canadian Tires minus 10.

It was Dec.30,2024 they booked me for alignment and changing tire rod in canadian tire squamish. After waiting 5hrs i paid 1700$ they told me they just told me that i need to book another appointment for changing some bolt but i can go home. In the highway around 300-500 meter i felt something wrong in my car then i feel my tire was about to be removed then i stopped then decide to return it. The next day someone call me and she was blaming my driving skill etc instead of apologizing. I paid another 280$ because they need to replace again 2 parts underneath. I felt like disrespected.

My wife purchased a Bell and Howell rechargeable shop light for me for Christmas. It would not take a charge and was defective. I asked to have her credit card credited for the purchase amount and they stated they could not because it was now used I explained it was defective not used. Eventually after created a scene I got my money back. Once Canadian Tire has your money in their register you will not get a credit so they never lose a sale. They only give you a credit note. The gentleman beside me in the lineup tried to return a hockey helmet and even though his son only tried on the helmet it was considered used and he too was refused a refund but only given a credit note. This is a dishonest return policy and I encourage every Canadian Tire Customer to Boycott this corrupt company. Amazon has better pricing, good return policies and are ethical. Doug Simpkins
