“efore getting a CARFAX Report we had almost made up our mind on a Toyota Camry, but it turned out to be reported as a total loss, a fact the owner conveniently didn’t tell us. We did not end up purchasing that vehicle, and instead went to look at two almost identical Honda Accords”

“I found a beautiful convertible car, 14 years old, one owner and super low miles (hard to believe), but Carfax noticed that everything was good for 12 years, but not service or records for the last two years, so it was suggested by Carfax to inquire with the owner before buying. Lucky me, the owner provided records and receipts from a small car shop. Everything matched and I have been enjoying my car worried free.”

“Looked at a lot of lemons.. CARFAX verified every one.. Bought an 06 Toyota 4runner based on CARFAX.. One of the cleanest one owner CARFAX I ever read.. It showed all records from previous owner from new till I took delivery... Couldn't be happier.. Thanks CARFAX..”

“I looked long and hard for a used pickup truck but was frustrated by the reluctance of car dealerships to give me a total picture of my potential purchase. Having and using the Carfax website gave me the total picture of my potential buy as well as giving me the negotiating information I needed to be sure I was not being taken advantage of. “I went to the dealer looking for a Trailblazer it was gone so he showed me a 2004 Cadillac SRX of course I was skeptical because the price was so low CARFAX let me know the first owner had had the car for 7 years and the second owner had the car for 4 years :) new tires and some minor maintenance was all it needed now it runs like a champ thanks CarFox!”

“As I was searching for a vehicle for myself I came across 3 that I loved ! They drove great, sounded excellent and shined like new. Thank goodness for CarFax or I would have ended up with some major problems! One car had prior Major Accident Total Loss, One was Flooded and the other "1 Owner" car actually had 7 owners! “I was in search for a Subaru Outback with a limited budget. After searching for almost 3 months, I was able to locate a couple I was interested in. One had 112,000 miles, the other 170,000 miles. The one with 112,000 miles looked a bit rougher, but I figured it must be a better buy due to low mileage for a 2002. As I was, literally about to hand over $2500 to the seller, my fiance suggested we view CarFax Report. I, honestly, thought it was pointless, but I went along. We found that the odometer was tampered with because the previous reported odometer reading was 198,000 miles. CarFax not only saved us from being deceived, but also from potentially very expensive auto repairs. We ran CarFax on the one with 170,000 miles and found that it had regular maintenance and accurate odometer reading, plus only two owners. We have had the car for a few months and we couldn't be happier. Thank you CarFax!”

“In August, 2014, it was very important for me to purchase a reliable used vehicle for my daughter who would be attending 1st year of college over 1200 miles from home. In the process of transporting her and all of her college needs, my wife and I only had two days to shop and complete a transaction for the vehicle. CARFAX and all of the information they have available were completely instrumental in closing a very good deal for a highly rated used vehicle that needs only some cosmetic repair. The car sold for under Bluebook value and a dealer brand assessment was that the car could easily expect another 100,000 miles. We are relieved that we were able to have found such a reliable vehicle with an identified good price that we could afford. It would have been virtually impossible for us to have accomplished this without CARFAX”
