“I was looking to purchase a late model Ford Fusion at a very low price. The owned explained that the car had a salvage title, but that the designation occurred only because of hail damage that was later repaired. So...good as new, right? I ran the car through Carfax and discovered...WRONG! The salvage title was because the front-wheel drive car had been in a front-end accident. Hail damage? I. Don't. Think. So. Thank you Carfax.”

“We were looking at several cars and finally decided to go with an older model to save cost this time around. The dealer provided a "car report" which said it was one owner and no accidents. When I ran the Car Fax report, it was actually a 3rd owner car and had been in a minor accident. car Fax helped me to make sure what I was buying and also helped me to be an informed buyer which gave me more negotiation leverage. Thank you Car Fax, I will definitely use you on all used car purchases in the future.”

“CARFAX is a necessity, not an option in the process of buying a used car. If you buy from an individual seller or a dealer I feel you MUST do your due diligence buy ordering a CARFAX report. In addition when you see that a dealer offers a CARFAX report WITH THEIR ADVERTISEMENT of the automobile, it give the dealer creditability. Knowledge is power, especially when you are making a purchase of a car. The small investment of the report can help make your choice and also save you money in the long run. starington@aol.com”

“Recently I was looking at car for my son and it was listed as having one owner and 65,000 miles. What a great starter car low miles one owner and the car looked clean so I agreed on a price. In the middle of night something told me to do a CARFAX check prior to purchasing.. (Maybe all those commercials). Anyway the CARFAX came back with 4 owners, 3 accidents and 265,000 miles, i canceled the deal. THANK YOU CARFAX the cost was well worth it.. Douglas Miskell”

“Thanks for Carfax for saving my cousin back home (Lebanon) from buying a total loss Jeep Wrangler by asking my help to run the VIN number on CARFAX... True Story. My cousin in Lebanon was looking for a jeep Wrangler and he found one in a pristine shape, at a dealership, he asked me to run the CARFAX for it since I live in the US. turned out to be salvaged and shipped to Lebanon, they fixed it, did a really good job on it and list it for sale in a retail market price. “I had the same car for 15 yrs. then the inevitable happened. Had to start the search for a vehicle, but didn't trust anyone enough to make a purchase. Then, I logged onto the Carfax site and within minutes I knew this was going to be the very tool I needed that would help me make a well informed purchase. I began my search for the Jeep I had long been waiting for with Carfax by my side every step of the way. I am happy to say that I am the proud owner of a used Jeep Commander with the every option I had been looking for and my mechanic says he has NEVER seen a used Jeep in such great condition. “Carfax is essential for buying a used car. I was looking for a 2004 LR Discovery, a relatively rare and frequently unloved vehicle. I was pretty picky-no accidents, low mileage, consistent dealer service, and preferably one owner. Believe it or not, people will not be totally honest when selling a vehicle. I bought a subscription to Carfax and ran all potentials through it. I was able to winnow the field down, separate truth from fiction, and finally acquired the perfect vehicle. Carfax was invaluable in the process and I would not be comfortable going through the process without it.”

“CarFax was an undisputable top resource in my buying a previously owned Jeep Wrangler. I was specifically looking for a vehicle with about 15-years of age and being listed by private sellers. There really is no better way to vet cars than CarFax and a little common sense. Through CarFax, I was able to immediately disqualify cars with suspect history including false odometer readings. I ended up buying an extremely good quality Jeep that where I trust its history. I had the confidence to buy after using CarFax and my Jeep is has been a great addition. I've shared my experience with others in circle and will never buy a previously owned car without first reviewing the CarFax report.”
