About Carphone Warehouse:

The Carphone Warehouse was founded in 1989 to bring mobile services to consumers. The market has always been complex and our aim from the very beginning has been to offer our customers simple, impartial advice while also offering outstanding value. As a result we have grown from a handful of stores operating exclusively in the UK selling mobile handsets and contracts, to a European-wide platform of over 1,500 stores in 10 countries, providing a wide range of mobile and residential telecoms services.

It should actually be ZERO STAR the worst customer services I have ever had to deal with, they are based in South Africa, all they say is 'but' 'I understand' BUT don't sort your issue, they are NON Customer services.

Went to car phone warehouse at crystal peaks in Sheffield, asked him to please check my phone to see if it was the battery or if I needed to buy a new phone, was told my phone was no good and needed to be replaced after he had “checked” the battery and phone and tried to get me to update my phone and take out a new contract. Went into the market area and got my phone checked there and guess what?£12 for a new battery! Shame on you carphone warehouse will not be using your services again,

I’m appalled that these people are still in buisness. Lies lies and just a few more lies and denial. Liam Madden told me I could stay with my current provider o2, then I read the contract to discover this would not be the case, I cancelled immediately to find a week later my service has been cancelled as care phone warehouse failed to cancel my order. Nightmare of a company. Just look at the reviews. Run a mile

I was clearly being sold more data than I need, but when I agreed on a phone and a tariff but had forgotten my debit card (I have contactless set up on my phone), he slammed the keyboard, said "bidey-bye" and I was made to feel horrible like a fraudster or something! I said I'd be back in with my bank card but on second thoughts I don't want to contribute a penny to his wages and will be going elsewhere!

I took my iPhone 11 into the carphone warehouse as I had a faulty power button and the guy said it was obviously dropped, putting words into my mouth. He then reset the phone and then told me I couldn't send the phone back even if I wanted to, he turned the phone off and now, because the power button wont work, it now will not turn on. I had accessible touch and could use the phone and now I have no option but to repair it. I am 17 years old, and I work hard to pay for my own things. I was sobbing infront of him, as I will have to pay £50 for the phone and another god knows how much repairing it and he smiled and laughed at me. I am heartbroken and now can't afford presents for Christmas. He also advised me to commit insurance fraud. My month has been ruined.

Fraudulent activity on my account by a member of staff and the manager at Chatham store. I will now be passing the matter to the police but I wanted to make everyone aware. The shop assistant registered the phone that I had bought in her name and also forged the insurance document. When I came to claim, not only did I not have any insurance in my name (despite having paid the direct debits from my account) but I also did not own the phone. Team knowhow assistant Helen, having taken weeks to contact me, advised me there was nothing she could do as I had not signed the direct debit form. Please bear in mind that the reason I had not signed it was because of the fraudulent activity of their employee which was authorised by the shop manager. Apparently, I have to chase the refund from my bank. Disgusting way to treat a customer who has done nothing wrong.

This company has no idea about customer service. The phone line is a scam to rip you off the at £1.55 a minute. If you email customer service, they don't reply to what you wrote, just a stock email reply. They have zero interest in the customer. I don't usually write reviews. For Car PhoneWarehouse I am making an exception. Please avoid them and tell everyone how bad they are. I'm wondering if I will get my money back, I've not even seen the phone. I was told untruths online and tricked into ordering. I'll be contacting the ombudsman in due course.

On 15/10/19 I ordered my new phone as my old one just stopped working, it took two weeks to deliver my new phone(delivered on 28/10/19)!!! No message or email for any delays, no apologies. Had to buy somewhere else an other phone as I could not wait so long and return the one I was waiting for ages. That was very bad and stressful experience.

Have just been looking online for upgrades. Make sure there were no ticks in the boxes to contact me and within a few hours the phone starts to ring, explained that I am at work but the guy was'nt interested and kept talking, he said he was from Carphone Warehouse head office. I do not appreciate them calling me. What is the point of asking for no contact when they simply ignore your wishes. I was going to order a phone online but I will definately be going elsewhere now!!

After returning a phone 3 days out of 14 day exchange period samsung a50.as went faulty, it had to be sent away,no probs with that ,but to get a loan phone from the stone ages is bad. Only calls &texts, when you go in for a upgrade with a 2 year old phone & the sales team tell you how out of date it is ,and then give you this thing is disgraceful. This is from the Durham branch.

First attempt at buying a phone online arranged online to pickup at shop two weeks later. I went into the shop on the day to find out that the order was cancelled the day before. The only reason given was the website has been doing this no but apologies back from carphone warehouse and would you like to try again on via the phone call where there shouldn't be any problems. Two weeks later I ring DPD on the date the phone was arranged to be delivered to be told the depot lost the phone but will find and deliver it that day. A delivery time agreed and the APP showing the driver will be 15 mins late. Checked the app 15 mins after the agreed time to find that the driver has said we weren't in and a picture that wasn't anywhere near our house. Rang DPD they contacted the driver they said he'd knew wasn't at the house, but he would be back by me in 0.5 hr. 2Hrs later I'm still waiting, if the driver lies once how can you trust not to lie again. I won't use carphone warehouse in future

I purchased a phone at the start of the month. I tried to exchange the phone the following day for a different model but the exchange was processed as a refund. The refund however I am yet to receive. I've chased it up atleast 6 times now but i can't keep hearing the same lame excuses They are in breach of legislation and contract. They're deliberately withholding my money So i've decided to complain to Ofcom. I hope they get screwed over

Traded a perfectly good working phone in. After hearing nothing for 2 weeks it now has ‘excessive screen burn’ and it’s advisable to have the phone back as they can offer next to nothing. Got pictures on my new phone as proof that there was no screen burn. Sell privately avoid the scam. Shambles, reviews say it all
