“I ordered a car plate and paid for express delivery. The car plate has never arrived. As there is no number to call, I have emailed on several occasions to chase my order and received no response. I am very disappointed because as it stands, I have been ripped off. I would highly recommend to anyone else not to buy from car plates direct.”

“Terrible customer service after receiving plates one illegal as has blue tint in it and I was pulled over I have called numerous times and sent a few e mails to get the matter resolved to date NO RESPONSE I am taking further action BEWARE”

“Terrible service bought a full set of plates arrived Front ones had a blue tinge to them as i hads already registered the new number i had to use them and i got pulled over looking at a big fine now reported the issue on numerous e mails and tried calling their number NO RESPONSE after 2 days trying now in the throes of going to trading standards BEWARE”

“Total scam. Ordered last Monday midday, paid £10 the top delivery option. Website clearly states SAME DAY DESPATCH. Wasn't despatched till Wed afternoon. No reason given, no comms at all! Poor customer service follow up as not interested trying to resolve. Had to visit Halfords on Wed evening to buy elsewhere for daughters birthday. Didn't get an appology just copy / pasted small print saying same day despatch not guaranteed. Still ongoing as no answer 5 emails and 1 week later. Wish I had read the reviews on Trustpilot first! Lots of people having problems.”

“poor delivery service from Evri and the front plate was covered with a blue film, with no instructions as to how to remove it. I had to email to find out how to remove it and got a curt response.”

“Paid for the express delivery sent the email with the requested info on and still waiting over a week later without any plates. Starting to think it's a scam!!! Should have just paid couple more pounds to go elsewhere. Don't recommend using these to anyone!”

“Carplatesdirect have not supplied me with the plates I ordered , I have been told they have been delivered but they have not . I do not even have an invoice , they did not send me one . But ! they have sent me an email to ask for a review!!!! What a rubbish service , no plates , no invoice and £64 OUT OF POCKET .”

“Writing a review as carplatesdirect emailed and asked me to. I can't comment on the quality of the product as I haven't recieved it. Ordered over a week ago and paid extra for express delivery so the order would be delivered next day. Unfortunately express delivery was entrusted to Evri. Tracking information initially showed the parcel in transit, then delayed (no reason given). A redelivery was attempted a couple of days later which according to the tracking information was successful. However, the delivery was not successful and the proof of delivery showed the item being put through a letter box at the wrong address. Given my neighbour is currently away, I've not yet been able to get hold of the item. I would not recommend paying extra for 'express' delivery, which is quite the reverse.”

“Absolute rubbish in this once and only experience...CPD had processed my order incorrectly, sending me the wrong plates. Once the mistake was identified and notified back to them, the delivery address entered by them for redelivery of the new plates appears to have also been inputted incorrectly resullting in my new plates now being returned to sender; i am still without my order from order date 23/01/26”

“I ordered a legal set of plates with the rear one being oversized, but there is no BS mark in the bottom right hand corner. The front one did, but equally it had a chunk out the bottom of it, looked like it had been trimmed with a knife. No response from any emails.”
