FOLLOWING MANY YEARS AND MANY ORDERED PLATES FROM CAR PLATES DIRECT I ORDERED A NUMBER OF NEW CAR PLATES TOTALING £ 470.83. DUE TO THE HIGH VALUE I ASKED IF A DISCOUNT WAS AVAILABLE AND THEY SENT ME A CODE TO USE AT CHECKOUT, WHICH DID NOT WORK AS THE DISCOUNT WAS NOT AVAILABLE. ON RECEIVING THE BOX OF PLATES ONE OF THE PLATES OF THE SET HAD THE WRONG UNION FLAG DISPLAY, WHICH THEY ARE NOW JUST IGNORING MY EMAILS INSTEAD OF REPLACEMENT. DONT ORDER MORE THAN ONE PLATE FROM THIS COMPANY AS THEY ARE NOT THE CHEAPEST AND CERTAINLY NOT THE BEST.

Plates turned up damaged due to printing the back plat had bits stuck under the plastic . Tried to call them about 20 times no answer and even though i left a message no call back. They sent an email saying they would refund which didn’t happen so will now have to take this up with either the credit card company or small claims court

I have not yet received my plates, I ordered them one week ago and am now having to chase Evri as these have not been delivered. I have E-mailed Car Plates Direct but they have not responded.

I received a pair of plates, the front was much smaller writing than the back. I emailed about this and was asked to send photos which I already had anyway then told if they had been used I couldn’t have a refund. I had to put them on as needed to use the vehicle. I replied to their email as hadn’t heard anything but have still not had a response. Also my son said they should have asked for my v5 or similar before issuing which they did not do queried this also on my email which they again have not replied to. So therefore I have no idea if these plates are ok to use so will probably end up buying another pair.

I placed my order including proof of plate and ID before the 2pm deadline on Friday, and paid the Express Delivery. The order did not leave them until Tuesday and arrived Wednesday afternoon. I also asked for there to be no postcode printed at the bottom of the plates, this was missed. I chased via email 3 times and was answered once and ignored the rest of the times. All they had to do was refund the Express element as it was not despatched same day.

Ordered express delivery took 5 days to deliver even though I paid extra for delivery. James good but the rest of customer services very poor indeed, no follow up to email or 3 call chasing up what was happening

THIS IS A SCAM WEBSITE/COMPANY - AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I ordered my number plates about a month ago. I got a confirmation email and then never recieved the plates. Tried phoning multiple times and left voicemails and never got a call returned. Used the chatbot multiple times to be fobbed off by an AI service that promised to have it resolved by the end of the day and still no contact with a real human being. I have currently opened a case with my credit card company as i have still never received the number plates and the tracking number from evri still shows them as "expecting the parcel' so they have not even made them or dispatched them to the courier to send. Yu will not get to speak to anyone and be fobbed off by a chatbot and they will take your money and try to con you. Dont make the mistake i did and use a reputable company instead!!!!!

Very disappointed in delivery time. I ordered Monday for same day despatch and paid£9.99 for express delivery, they arrived late Thursday afternoon. I contacted customer services several times, was promised 3 times that I would get a call back, that never happened. If you need the plates fairly quickly, I would definitely avoid this company.

Customer Care is useless, does not reply to emails, it as been month and no action, one letter on both plates is dull, even though I have taken the protector cover off

Appalling company do not use. I ordered plates on priority delivery same day despatch because I needed them on the Friday so I could tow my trailer at the weekend - order placed on the Wednesday. It took 31 hours for the courier to receive. I was unable to get through to carplates direct on the phone and the answerphone service cut off before you could leave any information that would mean they could call you back. When I emailed to ask for a refund on the priority delivery charge, they said that they hadn't promised same day delivery - which I hadn't paid for so I pointed this out and then they denied that they offered same day despatch - I sent two screenshots from their website which showed a count down to the order deadline for same day despatch. Said it was out of their control what the courier did but I pointed out that my contract was with them not the courier and they had failed to provide the service I paid for. Plates finally arrived this Tuesday so a nearly a week after I paid for prioirty delivery and same day despatch - I had to buy from an alternative local supplier. Will be contacting Trading Standards about the misadvertising and seeking refund under consumer rights act for distance selling. Their AI bot for customer service told me to contact my card provider for a charge back so clearly a common issue.

I ordered a set of plates and fixing kit the plates arrived but no fixing kit. Order number 2301520 i contacted you and was promised a reply but nothing has happened. I contacted the delivery company and they just blanked me. This is very poor. I should have gone to Halfords and would have all the parts in one go but now have to go and buy a new fixing kit.

I ordered a set of plates with the fixing pack and paid for priority delivery. I received an email within a day to advise that the plates were manufactured. Then another to advise that they had been despatched. Great, except not so great. EVRI lost the parcel so I contacted you to ask for assistance with chasing EVRI. I got a curt response from Sophie Clarke to say no liablilty for delays. That wasn't what I asked but I didn't get a reply to my follow-up. My parcel eventually arrived (after much chasing with EVRI) on the 11th May - 10 days late - so much for priority but I guess that's EVRI. We were away and on Friday 15th returned and opened the package to find the plates but no fitting kit. I phoned you at 13:55 and left a message - you never answer the phone and you never returned the call. I emailed at the same time requesting a refund for the missing fitting kit but have not yet received a reply. If you want to stay in business you really ought to sought your customer service out. I will be posting this on TrustPilot to join the others with a similar view of your service. Needless to say, I will not be recommending your business.

Bought plates for 70 and paid 9.99 for express delivery and haven’t received anything it’s been two weeks now and nothing. No confrontation entail or even tracking. Tried to contact seller and there’s no contact number only a email address which you don’t get a reply from. Absolutely joke and a total rip off, wish I had read the reviews before I bought.

A month has passed since I placed the order , I've called numerous times and nobody answers the phone. I've sent numerous emails and had no response. I've had numerous online chats with a robot who is always very aplogetic and assures me that somebody will be in touch but still no contact and no plates. I've emailed again today and asked for a refund as I'll just buy the plates elsewhere

They refused to supply a vat invoice and say this was only possible for businesses who paid via paypal, we need this for company accounts and legally a vat invoice should be supplied, they refused to then reply.

Not good! I ordered the number plate with premium delivery and it wasn’t delivered. I then complained and they said they sent me a replacement and i’m still waiting for it. apparently they’ve sent it with premium delivery but i’ve still been waiting 4 days.
