“My cover note from previous company stated 9 yrs no claims bonus, but your company would not accept this and saying it is not proof of no claims, therefore I had to keep ringing the last company and keep ringing you back till the no claims bonus was proven to be right,also all the paperwork was emailed over to yourselves, but this was still wrong I was told. In the end someone saw sense and rang my previous company to get this comfered. I couldn't use my car to go to work as was not insured, so as a named driver on my partner's policy I was allowed to use her car as to get to work, without this I wouldn't have been able to get to work only by taxi ,because early start. I was very disappointed with the way myself and my girlfriend was given the run around because of the way you do your business”
“Clearly written policy booklet; just one place where cover provided could be misunderstood. Detailed insurance documentation is very lengthy & partly conflicts with itself and the Certificate of Motor Insurance:-
- Policy No.: 2413561/001 vs. S940832R ;
- Use: Excluding commuting vs. Including commuting;
- Incident: "Single Vehicle" although own car was hit by another vehicle (lorry + trailer).”
“Castle Cover has consistently provided me with among the cheapest prices available for cover over a number of years. I cannot comment on claims handling as I have not made a claim. My only reservation is that every time my policy is due for renewal, the renewal notice quotes a much larger premium, and it is only by phoning up and querying it that it is brought down to a competitive level again. This practice appears designed to entrap those who are busy or unwary, and should be changed.”
“Yes Castle cover were good at dealing with claims and very efficient on the phone dealing with the claims, however they then followed this up with a massive rise in premium although I had protected no claims and wouldn't reduce the premium by much when asked why it had gone up £150.00 in a year and the excess from £100 to £225
So I left them and got replacement identical insurance with £100 excess for half, yes HALF the premium cost”
“Price of motor insurance has been good, compared to other quotes we've had. A few years ago, we had a collision, and the repair was dealt with well. I should rate the company Very Good, but it goes against the grain to give top marks to anything or anyone providing a paid service.”
“Overall the website is good, But when we try to create our account once we buy the policy, it is a bit messy, if we create our account with the web reference provided by your company”
“I just hope you will be the first organisation to re-introduce a scheme which is aimed at retaining loyal customers, rather than attracting new ones through discounts which are financed by unexplained increases in your existing customer base. I'm fairly sure no one enjoys the annual ritual of automatically implied distrust when it comes to viewing renewal invitations. Keep it honest, transparent and, above all, fair to those who deserve it! This could save us all valuable time and money.
I am unable to comment further, at this stage, other than disagree with £25 administration charges for minor alterations to documents.

“Very easy to fill in on line.Only small complaint is having to prove my no claims discount.First time I`ve had to do this in recent memory.Non the less seems to be a good product.”
