Warning to others DONT pay by annual direct debit if you find a better quote for the next year and don't tell them they automatically take their fee which will be higher than the previous year and then charge you £50 to cancel plus the number of days the policy has been in date before you realise you are paying 2 insurance policies. Nothing you can do hard way to learn, so be warned feels like sharp practice to me. I did try to argue the toss but to no avail, made me feel that I was trying to not pay insurance which I found rather insulting as I have never been without insurance. So I wont be using them again for any insurances.

What a bunch of money ???? grabbing so and sos Don't use really DONT USE . If you have a claim good luck they will try every trick in the book ???? not to pay out ONCE AGAIN DONT USE

very poor shoddy customer service no renewl docs sent price up by 100percent from last year. on phone and all they say is sent by e mail and letter posted obviously not.then they have the cheek to charge you 50 quid to try and cancell and then ask for a months payment as well dont think so me self .will never use again and will be reporting them to fso for bad practice and also insurance body

Staff have no attitude towards helping , are rude and have no customer interest. Staff do nothing to help and have an attitude of take your business elsewhere if you don't like what I say. Bad customer service

Quote a reasonable price which I paid on line, the they email for more money adding a penalty charge as well. The details I gave were 100% honest, there are just a bunch of crooks

recieved an email saying my car insurance was cancelled due to my direct debit being cancelled by me. This email was sent 2 days AFTER castle cover cancelling my insurance so I was driving around for 2 days uninsured! I phoned my bank first to make sure my account was ok. It was fine and my bank had no record of any direct debit being set up. I then phoned castle cover at 5.40. Held in a queue for 20 mins and dead on six I get the message "Sorry are offices are now closed, please call back duing the hours of ..." So in the morning I phoned them up. They said they contacted me on the 29/1 telling me of the problem. I said I received nothing. The woman on the line insisted they did. I knew she was lying as I checked the policy on the 14/2 as I needed the policy number for my meerkat toy. There was no letter on my account at the time. She then told me because my DD had been cancelled without their permission, I now have to pay for a whole year! I said why can it not be set up again? She used the same excuse. I offered a different bank account, yet again the same reply. In the end I had to not only pay the month they tried to take, but also a cancellation fee, that was not my fault, plus a whole years policy just so I could get back on the road and to work! Can safely say they will not be getting any of my money again

Very poor overall performance, reluctant to settle a claim, will point you in the direction of the 'small print' be advised, do not use.

Absolute disgrace, didn't send a letter or email to say insurance had gone up by £200, you are thieving scum bags and you will be getting reported. Please no one use this company

I am still disgusted that an organisation like Castle admits it failed to send me an insurance renewal notification, effectively leaving me uninsured! This was blamed on "a computer error" - this doesn't stand as an excuse in 2016 - maybe 20 years ago! I did renew this year for convenience - but my confidence in your company has been severely shaken - if there is a repeat of this type in the future I will cease my dealings with your organisation.

There have been considerable delays in getting hard copy paperwork to me of over 10 working days - this is totally unacceptable and have raised this with Castle Cover and they blamed Royal Mail !! . I was also badly misquoted on the initial quote offer for rental property by over £80 and had I not queried this and had a revised telphone quote Castle would have lost the business. The staff member handling this apologised for the obvious mistake.

Someone needs to get your telephone system sorted quick called on monday 20 minutes wait to get an answer. This must be costing you business because if i was not an exsisting customer i would just have put the phone down Also your emplyees dont appear to takie any notice when you do complain

Castle Cover is as most insurers unfortunately are. Every year the policy goes up in price, regardless if you'd made a claim or not. I actually made a claim last year and was told I was covered for the damage.....only to be told on the day of the repair, it would cost me £300. I carried out the repair myself costing £50. Dog barking yourself.

Hello I have received 3 phone calls on my mobile (08009529939) I answered the 3rd one and a person on the other end wanted all my personal details which I refuse to give. I felt that this person was not happy with me at all. I googled this number but not a lot actually comes up, so I felt that I was correct not to give my personal details out - over the phone I then called YOUR number (08005191030) to tell you what had just happened. To my amazement the chap on the phone said I should of given my details out as you were trying to contact regarding my NCB (Which I have now sent on line) I said the your chap, would you gave YOUR personal details out over the phone without knowing who it was ? He replied YES ! I replied '' More fool you '' Your telephone call to me and the person I called at Castle Cover could actually stop people from using you in the furfure. As a business owner myself, I thought you would like some feedback Kind regards Neil

Cheaper price than the renewal notice I received from my previous insurers. Don't think much of the admin, I received three phone calls requesting proof of my no claims discount two days AFTER I had received an email thanking me for sending it!

Castle Cover has consistently provided me with among the cheapest prices available for cover over a number of years. I cannot comment on claims handling as I have not made a claim. My only reservation is that every time my policy is due for renewal, the renewal notice quotes a much larger premium, and it is only by phoning up and querying it that it is brought down to a competitive level again. This practice appears designed to entrap those who are busy or unwary, and should be changed.

Yes Castle cover were good at dealing with claims and very efficient on the phone dealing with the claims, however they then followed this up with a massive rise in premium although I had protected no claims and wouldn't reduce the premium by much when asked why it had gone up £150.00 in a year and the excess from £100 to £225 So I left them and got replacement identical insurance with £100 excess for half, yes HALF the premium cost

Castle Covet was the cheapest insurance cover that I could find that provided with me with the same like for like cover as my original insurance. None of the other insurance providers could match this. Castle cover don't scrimp on quality and provide an excellent service, as well as providing an option of being able to purchase a very reasonably priced Excess cover. I would recommend Castle cover to all of my family and my friends.
