“The service was excellent- quick, easy to order and the basic product is what I wanted.
It has been almost impossible to fix the top to the base as it won't twist and slide completely into place. It has come apart twice now with a cascade of pellets going everywhere.
All suggestions as to how to twist the two parts successfully together would welcomed.”
“I don't have time to go through this pantomime for every small purchase. Please be aware that you are in danger of alienating customers by all these follow-up emails - let your goods speak for themselves! Satisfied customers will be back - alienated customers won't.”
Thank you for your comments. We normally follow up transaction with requests to review the product and/or service. From your past transactions over the last 5 years you may have received up to 6 emails. To allow the good and not so good reviews equal status we send out review requests for all orders once they have been despatched. I'm sorry you feel this volume of emails is excessive.
“Chicken feeders arrived promptly. Appear good value for money but time will tell. The slots that allow the hopper to be fitted to the base are a bit too tight but as filling is by the lid that won't be a significant problem and they may ease with use.”
“I recently bought a Chicken Guard automatic door opener (the basic model with no light sensor, just a timer) for my hen house. After a bit of fiddling around to get the batteries to work, it sprung into action and has been reliably opening and shutting the hen-house door for the last month. It's a great help, especially when we go away and I don't want to have to ask the neighbours to let the hens out or close them in at night. They now only have to come and feed/check on them once a day. Brilliant!”
“this really does keep the feed dry even in the worst rain. the hens aren't scared of the hat which they were when i tried to improvise a rainproof feeder of my own. only reason for not giving this 5 stars is that the feet have a tendency to come loose and fall off which has been a nuisance in the dark mornings.”
“Delivery was good, considering my remote location, the instructions were reasonable but it took a while to work out how the treadle worked.
In operation both chickens and geese quickly learned how to use the feeder.
The one draw back in my rather windy location is that the lid blows off unless held down by a very heavy stone, I am working on a more permanent solution.”
