About Chilton Furniture:

Chilton is a family-owned, Maine company dedicated to selling fine, wood furniture, all American-made. We are known for our Shaker-inspired designs, and also feature Arts & Crafts, modern and cottage style pieces in solid cherry, maple, ash, walnut, and quarter-sawn oak. We are also known for the quality craftsmanship of our custom work. Many of our pieces can be custom built to your specifications.

Much of our furniture is handcrafted in small Maine workshops, and we also work with boutique craftsmen in New Hampshire, Vermont and the Midwest, many of whom have been partners for decades. All of these cabinetmakers have a Shaker-like dedication to workmanship, function, and simplicity of line and form. All of Chilton’s pieces are built to our high standards, and a growing number are original, proprietary designs.

“I am the happy owner of several pieces of cherry furniture from Chilton: a dining table and chairs, a sofa table, and a small cupboard. I’ve owned these pieces for more than a dozen years. I recently added a custom chimney cupboard to my furnishings. I saw the style I liked on the Chilton website but wanted a smaller version to fit a specific space in my home. It was a fun and easy process to communicate with staff, determine exactly what I wanted, get a price and place my order. My cupboard was ready exactly when expected and I’m enjoying it in my home. Chilton quality is excellent, the staff is lovely to work with and I expect each of my purchases to be family treasures for years to come.”

“Wonderful experience from start to end. I reached out with questions about the Dune bed and upholstery choices and received responses right away. Bed was delivered last week and it is exactly as I envisioned and great quality. Hope to purchase more pieces soon!”

“The entire process, from online viewing, to purchase by phone to notification of the completion of the platform bed and to the delivery was easy, efficient and trouble free. The bed arrived in perfect condition, and I was impressed that there were so many well supported slats for the bed that no center legs were necessary, though there is a center rail in the frame, as the website shows. The white glove delivery communicated well and came on time. The man was careful in setting it up and neat. The experience was so good that I am ordering another piece of furniture from them. Tip: let them know the size of your mattress.”
